The staff was extremely rude, then not welcome with a smile or even a normal greet. I noticed a few bugs in the room and I called the hotel management to come and take care of it or just move us to another room because we were getting flying creatures in the room and they told us it's not in their resume to deal with bugs or insects. The rooms had a musty smell, and the air conditioner was throwing air that could be seen like white air that felt and something you shouldn't consume.

The building is run down, unfixed, damaged, and dirty. It's basically a hotel at a truckers gas station. Pet friendly. Ice machines are broken except the one on the main floor. No other options for the shampoo and conditioner (it's citrus and I have an allergy and there's no alternative options). Sheets are soft and cozy but stained. The carpet is stained. The TV is fuzzy and hard to operate. Desk chair looks like a dog or cat violently attacked it. And has been sat on every moment since it's been made. Definitely shouldn't be in a hotel room.

It was confusing to drive in with a reservation for Comfort Inn but there was no Comfort Inn in the area, even though it is displayed on Google Maps. The hotel is now the Port Hope Inn. I spent about 15 minutes driving around in the dark until I realized that the name has changed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel may look a little tired but the room size was excellent. The convenience of the small kitchen, utensils, and couch was unexpected but a really nice touch and it was a very good breakfast with great help. It did need a new tv in the room we had as it was somewhat snowy.
