We were a late check n April was overly friendly let my kid help as that's his hobby amazing breakfast was amazing not swamped at all best waffles will return hopeful April is still working Amazing best hotel ever
Stayed for a week while in Cobourg watching the Ontario Curling Championships. Room was basic; clean and well maintained. Nice to have the bar fridge for nighttime snacks and beverages. Good value and had a nice free breakfast - eggs and sausage/bacon every day, plus make yourself waffles, as well as cereal and other continental breakfast stuff. Hotel easy to find right off the 401 highway. Would stay again without hesitation. Much better price than the Best Western Cobourg.
We stayed here for one night for a sporting event. Rooms are clean, we had no noise problems at all (and the hotel was full that weekend). Breakfast was included which was OK. Good value for our money.
Room was comfortable despite the boxcutter found at the edge of the bed as I stepped into bed. The breakfast was horrible in that I was sick after eating the MICROWAVED SAUSAGE. I also was not able to find a place to sit for breakfast.
It's been a few years since we've stayed here, and the hotel has received a lovely facelift with renovated rooms. Our room was comfortable and complete, with a small fridge and microwave. WiFi is free and fast. The free breakfast includes hot foods and, while not gourmet, was satisfying. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay close to the 401 and a good value overall.
We often spend an overnight on our way from Niagara to Ottawa, this time decided to try Cobourg and what a pleasure it was. This Comfort Inn is specially well managed. The beds were great and heaped with soft pillows for lounging. There was no extra charg for our small dog, the breakfast (included in the VERY reasonable room rate) featured hot cheese omelets and make your own waffles, YUM. Staff were extra attentive and friendly, and we loved the 'spa' style bathroom. Our new stopover spot for sure!
Stopped here off the 401 for the night. Met all our needs. Was spacious and clean at a fairly low price. Continental breakfast surpassed my expectations. Staff provided us with a map to navigate our way through the town. This would be a good spot for tourists in the summer due to its proximity to the highway but also to the main street and beach.
I stayed here for 4 nights in October for a training clinic with 2 well behaved dogs. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. I loved that there was no additional pet fee! Sometimes that adds on another $100 at many places I've stayed, so that aspect was very much appreciated. (Please pet owners lets keep it that way! Cover all furniture and beds, pick up after your dog, keep them quiet, wipe their feet etc etc., so we are allowed back!) The ground floor rooms have drive up access via the patio doors - very convenient for my dogs :) The room was adequate, what I expect for a pet friendly room - not as clean as some hotels I've stayed at, but certainly not the worst! Housekeeping was non existent after the first morning (and even then, all they did was leave me more coffee and fold my towel), but they did warn me that housekeeping was "different for pet friendly rooms". Even when I was gone for the day, took the "pet in room" sign down - nobody seemed to come. Walls are paper thin - you can easily hear your neighbor's TV - and the weekend filled with several junior sports teams who were noisy until well past midnight. Don't stay in any room near the lobby on weekends! I was in 116 and luckily I was too tired after my days outdoors in the cold to be truly bothered by the noise. I didn't really use my breakfast coupons, as I was gone too early each day, but I think I would have chosen Tim Horton's anyway ;) The hotel is very convenient off the 401, and near gas stations, food marts and restaurants (including 2 "Tim's" within walking distance) All in all, I had a satisfactory stay and would definitely stay there again next year for the same event.
From the booking online, through to my checking out early, it was a disaster. The website mishandled my check in date. The reception staff was unpleasant and the room was disgusting. When I found myself hanging around a Canadian Tire store simply to avaiid going back to the hotel, I checked out. A day early ! Best decision. I couldn't do it.
we were booked on the main floor room ed 07r and the carpet was disgusting, stains everywhere , the washroom ceiling was chipped and coming off in spots and marks on it . We are both seniors and were charged $154.00 o for one night .We were not able to change rooms due to being booked up solid due to many things happening in port hope this weekend and when I said something was told they knew a it would eventually be renovated by had not as of yet. The hot meal consisted of hard sausages that had been greatly overcooked and eggs that were also vey overcooked and cardboard. The yogurt was good but again they didn't have to do anything with the yogurt . I do not blame the staff I blame the hotel as the staff were very nice and that is the only reason I am giving a 2. I was told i would receive a email for me to make my comments so we will see as I did ask to fill out a complaint but was told one would come in my email . I took many pictures and will be very happy to show anyone what we had for a room that night .
