This is a beautiful unit in a gorgeous location. The views are stunning and the unit itself is nicely decorated—there’s a lot to love at first glance. But, beware there is more than meets the eye. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly impacted by poor management, significant building repairs and ongoing issues during our stay. When we arrived, there were strong paint fumes throughout the building due to active painting in the common hallways. At the same time, the balcony was completely sealed off with workers actively on it by 8am every morning, forcing us to keep the doors and drapes closed the entire time—so we couldn’t enjoy the ocean air or even access the balcony at all. That was just the beginning. On the second day, we also lost running water entirely from 10am to after 3pm, which was incredibly disruptive. And, one of two elevators stopped working, making the elevator wait time very significant. In addition, the unit was very understocked: no beach towels, no beach chairs, and no beach or pool toys—nothing to support a beach vacation. It is 60 a day to rent beach chairs and an umbrella. I’ve stayed in a lot of places on the beach and never have I seen a place without beach towels. It’s a shame, because this place has potential. But between the construction issues, lack of access to key amenities, and minimal supplies, the stay felt frustrating and we spent a lot of time away from the place instead of enjoying it.
