For history enthusiasts, historic downtown Pensacola is about a twenty-minute drive away, and Fort Pickens National Park is just down the road. During the spring and summer seasons, the free Pensacola Beach Trolley operates from one end of the island to the other, from four in the afternoon until midnight.
