Overall Asia Pattaya is a good hotel. The main strengths are large pool, well maintained hotel grounds, good restaurants and access to the beach. If you stay there, next door Condoms and Cabbages restaurant is a must visit place. The only downside is that hotel rooms are overdue for some renovations. But general impression is positive.
A hotel that has everything but lacks some professional receptionists and servants. This place has an amazing pool, golf course, fitness, tennis court, private beach etc. The food in the restaurant is good, but be careful and ask for the bill ( not a bill in their own handwriting ) but a real one or else they will make the bill a little higher than usual. They have very bad connection on wifi almost all over the place, expect for the lobby. The receptionist kept asking for tips and was very unprofessional and angry it seemed. The only reason why I haven't given it top rating, is the hustle in the restaurant, bad wifi and unprofessional receptionists.
Location south Pattaya The place is little bit old but well maintained the rooms are really well equipped and spacious Swimming pool is really good and the hotel has its own access to its private beach quality of food is really good but the taste depends on your personal preference Overall a well equipped antique hotel with all modern amenities which remains you the early 90's
I like places like this. It's a massive hotel of, I would guess, thirty years or so. Huge reception area. Seven floors and a fairly long walk from the lift to my room. Room was spacious, bed was huge and comfortable and there was a BATH in the bathroom. Love it. TV reception was rubbish but Wi-Fi made up for that. Staff was sweet and attentive. It's got a reasonable gym, a great pool area and what is almost a little private beach without too many people on it. It's located at the end of a quiet soi but it's only ten minutes in a cab to Walking Street. Would definitely stay there again.
Good location, good view, great food. Everything in the menu tastes great, so yummy. The hotel is a bit old bet well renovated. It located on the hill and there's a lovely pavement down to the beautiful private beach.
was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Right on the beachfront in a nice secluded area. Great swimming pool and nice little golf course right outside the hotel Ideal for families with large open outside spaces. Away from all the hustle and bustle with a few small bars, restaurants and massage places within 2 minute walking distance.
Not a particularly modern hotel, but a great location.I recommend the Cliff top BBQ at the weekend including as much beer or wine for 90 minutes for 299/399 baht pp.The view from the restaurant alone is worth every penny. Breakfast is buffet, but eggs and bacon are available. (Bacon is not on show, all you have to do is ask) The pool is large with a swim up bar, although drinks are expensive in both bars except happy hour, when they are the same or cheaper than the bars outside. Enormous well kept gardens means there are plenty of sunbeds available, if not ask pool-boy The rooms are very clean, but a tad old fashioned, either golf course or sea view. The staff are very helpful and enjoy talking to the guests. It isn't a private beach, and quite scruffy, I personally won't eat on the beach, as there are too many flies in the queue in front of me.Family mart across the road to buy goodies, and they don't mind if you put your beer in the mini bar. Contact the hotel for better room rates, the longer you stay the better the deal. I've been going a long time, and return every year. I could go on about the place, but I feel I'm getting boring now....
Stayed here for 3D/2N for the proposal of participating the meeting. Service was good especially from banquet team, staff was very efficient, helpful & always ready to support. Room - needed major renovation, bed is too soft and really not comfortable. Air con did not work well as not cool enough. Water pressured condition in bathroom could be better due to unstable adjustment. Food - Breakfast was good but not so varieties. Seafood buffet dinner was impressive and the price was also attractive.
I have been visiting this hotel for the past 35 years, and the staff are really helpful and friendly, which is why I keep going back. The setting and the gardens are beautiful. The pool is spectacular, and the beach is wonderful. The only drawback are the 90 steps down to the beach. No problem going down, but coming up for older clients is a challenge. I am trying to get the hotel to install an outside chair lift.
First visit to Thailand and I stayed in this hotel, I continued to stay here many times over a number of years. I stayed here for my twenty fifth wedding anniversary, and had a great stay. The hotel seemed to get a bit tired looking so we decided to try other hotels. We have just celebrated our 38th Aniversary and spent a week back at The Asia. The Hotel has had a lot of refurb and bought more up to date. The rooms are nice and clean. Lovely bed linen. Toiletries. Hair dryer. Kettle, tea and coffee. Complimentary water daily. TV with lots of channels, including all the sports and movie channels. The restaurant is reasonably priced for a hotel and the food is very good. Happy hour. Twice daily mini bus into the city, for a small cost. Saturday night BBQ costs 499 bhts, the cheapest at a hotel in Pattaya. Well worth every bht, it is a must. Also 199bhts for as much draft Chang as you can drink. The only downfall with the hotel is the distance from the city, about two miles! But for me that's the beauty of it, the grounds are stunning, the views are breath taking. The swimming pool is huge, plenty of sun loungers, no need to get up early. Just chill and relax. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, they all go out of their way to help you. Had a great stay and will be returning in October.
