My family and I stayed at this hotel from 28Dec-02Jan. The hotel is quite small--20 rooms on 5 floors plus 11 rooms across the street. The rooms are a good size, very traditionally French and quite pretty. The hotel itself is about a 3 minute walk from the Saint-Michel metro station and feet away from restaurants, bars and shops. It's also about a 5 minute walk to Boulevard St. Germain and about 2 minutes from the street along the river, across from Ile-de-la-Cite, and consequently, 10 minutes or so from Notre Dame. The other big highlight is the staff--we dealt mostly with Willy and Marina on the days we were there. Both were exceedingly friendly, helpful with recommendations, offered to call for taxis, restaurant reservations, etc, and were quick to respond to emails before our arrival. I can't speak highly enough of them both. There was a bit of street noise one night, but overall, it was very quiet, as the street it is on is not highly traveled. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it very highly.
Great little hotel close to a lot of the big attractions and lots of eating spots within walking distance. Looks to be 2 rooms per floor - staff very friendly and helpful with lots of good information on checkin
We found this hotel quite by chance on an AmEx travel site. The ratings from others suggested it a good place to stay. We spent 5 nights in the hotel proper and have now moved to the residences across the street. Laetia, Yann, Willie, Alexander and all of the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. We brought our personal drama of a lost iPad and locked phone. They sprang into action helping us through. Their suggestions for meals (Chez Fernand stands out) were impeccable. This is a great place to stay
Can’t think of anywhere better on the left bank. Stylish, lovely bedrooms and great eating/drinking on the doorstep. Only criticism was that BBC tv channel didn’t work. Would love to go back for longer
I am a hard grader so it does not get an excellent rating simply because I believe they should be reserved for only the best of the best. You will not find other reviews by me because I generally do not do them. The hotel staff asked me to write a review as just about everyone does today and I thought enough of the staff and service to do so, which says a lot. Great location, clean, good size room with a very helpful staff. The staff here was very attentive and were always willing to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fine with me. We had some difficulty with controlling the heat in the room, it was hot, but we could open a window when we needed to. The neighborhood is excellent with many restaurants and shops within a very short walk. Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
We loved our stay for the most part. The rooms are beautiful and huge by Paris standards - certainly for this price-point. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and elegant and the housekeeping staff was outstanding. The only issue that made this a less-than-5-star experience was the street noise. It was extremely loud throughout the night. I hate wearing earplugs but it was the only way to sleep. The bar next door stays open until 5am, and there is just a lot going on in the LQ all the time. So come prepared. Otherwise, incredible location, helpful concierge staff and it is surrounded by great restaurants and little shops. We will return.
Lovely stay for five nights for our family of four. Very spacious rooms and wonderfully helpful staff! Half a block from the Seine and so close to restaurants and shops, this hotel is perfectly located.
So I was only going to be in paris for two and half days....mostly taking meetings....but wanted to stay in a great area so that that the time I had to myself was well spent....this was the perfect place....let’s start with the hotel itself....it is a small boutique hotel (which is what I prefer). I had a junior suite which was just perfect. A great sitting area, a small kitchenette, a nice size bathroom (with a tub and a shower). And a bedroom that was comfortable - good size.. king size bed with lots of pillows just like I like! So what are the downsides....ok...so I like the windows open and it can get loud on the street....(but with the windows shut you heard nothing). It is above a restaurant.....my room was right above it....and you did hear that noise...but it was not bad...and I don’t think they open every night.. and ok...so when you get out of the bathroom (and perhaps you have already opened the curtains.....) you may want to make sure you are dressed or have a robe on....or else you are going to impress the people across the way with your fabulous physique!! This is France....it is a small hotel....there are stairs....so be aware... The staff was fantastic....I had someone come meet me in the lobby and they made them feel very comfortable....which speaks volumes to me. This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. I am coming back to paris in March...I assume you can guess where I will be staying....
Our first trip to this great city. The location could not be better for site seeing and shopping/dining. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and helpful with advice/reservations to restaurants, directions etc.. The hotel provided a smart phone that you could take with you. To use it for GPS maps and local calls for reservations was a huge help. A great idea!!! I plan on returning to Paris again and I will stay here. My only complaint was it is a bit loud at night /early morning. I think it was a garbage or service truck that came by early each AM (Even on Sunday) and was very loud, but I guess that is a trade-off in staying in such a convenient downtown location. I also think they could improve the WIFI signal in the hotel.
Loved hotel centrally located and beautifully chic decor - rooms so large compared to many stayed in previously - bed was so comfortable - what makes hotel is the lovely warm and friendly staff - so helpful and helped with tickets and secret entrances into sights to try and beat queues which paid off! breakfast was best croissants had ever! no need to go elsewhere - would definitely recommend and will definitely only ever stay here when visiting Paris again.
