We stayed here for about a week and really enjoyed it. For Paris rooms, the rooms are really quite large. Our room overlooked the street and the beautiful Paris street, and yet was never noisy. It is a two minute walk to the Seine (and just a few more minutes to Notre Dame) and a two minute walk to the bustling Place Saint- Michel, which is a hub for the metro and the RER. If you need a pint, just next door is the Corcoran pub, and there are restaurants and cafés all around. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!
This is our second stay at this Left Bank hotel. We enjoy the comfort of our large room and the very convenient location. The metro and several bus lines are steps away and the neighborhood is lively and in easy walking distance to several good restaurants and places of interest, i.e. Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine River is just down the street. What could be better?
This hotel is graced by elegance and comfort. The rooms were surprisingly large (especially for Paris) with the rooms being unexpectedly larger or on par with the photos which is very rare for Paris hotels. We decided to stay for 3 nights but added one more because we wanted to stay in Paris longer. The decor of the rooms is elegant and subtle with all nice furniture and a peaceful feel. The reception are very friendly and honestly this location of the hotel is so excellent. I usually stay in the 1st however i found that the location of the hotel (in the 6th I think) is probably better in terms of food, cafes, crepes and bars. A 1.5 min walk to the Notre Dam and great restaurants and bars literally on the doorstep of the hotel was a great addition to my stay. Generally I find rooms in Paris small, impersonal and deceiving based on hotel photos, however this hotel is the complete opposite- spacious rooms, extremely relaxing and well furnished. I would 100% recommend staying at Hotel Villa d'Estrees in Paris as I was completely satisfied and a nice change to find such large and nice rooms in Paris.
The room was huge as compared to Paris standards, and quite luxurious. Staff was very helpful. The location could not have been more convenient. Pub down the street was a bit loud, but it got quiet around midnight. Would stay there again, for sure!
My wife and 4 other relatives spent 3 days in this wonderful boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris. We can't say enough about the very large and reasonably priced rooms. The staff all spoke perfect English and could not have been more prompt in answering any questions. As a matter of fact I had lost my tickets to the French Open, and Laetitia(one of the owners) quickly solved my problem and we were on to Roland Garros. Further, Marianna took care of our every need every day. She was fabulous. Another staff member, Willie, even refused an extra tip for dragging our luggage all over the place. Breakfast in the lobby was just great. This little gem has its own restaurant across the street (The Latin) and the voted best Irish Bar in Paris next door (Corcoran's). All this and 7 minutes walk to Notre Dame. Just Awesome!
We completely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was conviently located to Metro stops and many restaurants and bars. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with tickets, directions and overall suggestions.
Hotel Villa d'Estrees is a beautifully decorated boutique hotel in the latin quarter in Paris. it is surrounded by beautiful buildings and is on a small side cobbled street. There are many sights to see within walking distance. There are also metro stations very close by and an Irish Bar next door. ( no noise from the pub). We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on the food. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke English fluently. The room decor was sumptuous. The bathroom had a bath and shower. There were ample supplies of body lotions, liquid soaps and shampoo. There were two hair dryers. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to any visitors to Paris! I look forward to returning!!
This hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring central Paris. Basically on the borderline of the Lain Quarter and St. Germaine districts. Just steps from the Metro station, cafes, Notre Dame, the river etc. The hotel is a Paris gem. Decorated in very tasteful Parisian decor, the rooms and the lobby are lovely. The hotel is located on a quiet, narrow street so the room was quiet. We stayed in room #304. The room was large and bright with 2 windows looking out to the front of the hotel but had heavy curtains for nighttime. The bed was comfy and we had a sofa and a couple of chairs for lounging. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked for anything. The hotel lobby has security also. We have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and were just delighted in our choice to stay at this hotel! It was awesome and the true flavor of Paris.
Spent 4 nights at Villa d'Estrees starting May 28. Everything was great and I have no complaints at all. Hotel is just a block from the metro. Perfect location - we walked most places, and the metro and RER are a block away if you don't want to walk or want to venture further out. We were greeted warmly and offered some great resources to enhance our visit to Paris. Room was very spacious, clean and air-conditioned - quite cool on a hot day! The water pressure in the shower was better than at my house. As you can imagine it gets a bit noisy in that neighborhood, but close the windows to your room and silence descends! Again, better than my windows at home when it comes to blocking noise. Breakfast was quite tasty. Everything was of course very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this for anyone visiting Paris who wants to be in thick of it all, but feel like you are in a private oasis once you close the door.
This was the last hotel we stayed at on our trip to France and we were ready to be pampered a bit after lots of driving, flying, trains and thousands of steps...we were not disappointed. The room was spacious , which is not typical in Paris, and the lobby inviting and elegant. In the middle of shopping, bars and restaurants...nothing was far away. Marina was superlative...never too busy to help and give directions and helpful advice...I don't think there was anything she couldn't do ! The breakfast was ample and a value..served in the lobby which felt very nice. Or you could get it sent to the room.. A little noisy at night with the street full of life but just bring your ear plugs and enjoy the comfortable bed and nice soaking tub. Heavy drapes allow room darkening and late sleeping when desired. Easy place to be..
