Great little hotel in an excellent location. Lots of food choices nearby as well as easy access to the metro. Short walk to Norte Dame, Saint Michell, and you can see the side of the Louvre.

Great place. Recommend it to others on several occasion. Central location and very attentive staff.

Awesome location--close to Metro, which is vital, and easy walking to Latin Qtr, Notre Dame, etc. Staff vert friendly. Room small but cozy, window view to side street, wi-fi okay, no problems! Will definitely stay again!

Paris is famous for its small flats, and being Paris, in Europe, and expensive (and having stayed in hotels in other countries in Europe and the UK) we did not expect luxury for what we paid. This little hotel was wonderful. The room had style - the beams in the ceiling, the antique furniture, and so did the lounge with its Parisian decor and sense of history. The location is amazing, close to restaurants, metro, a couple of blocks from the louvre, in the midst of history - the 1920s era, the French Revolution, etc. The bed was comfortable, there were closets to put our clothes, the room was well heated and ventilated, and plenty of hot water, the staff helpful. If you do not demand absolute luxury and want a charming, clean, pleasant place to explore Paris, this is it.

This small hotel, one block from St. Germain de Pree Church has a nice small lobby and small elevator. We stayed in an upgraded room for about $30 more and were on the 4th etage (5th floor), so I used the lift, while my claustrophobic wife climbed the 77 steps to our room. Nice and clean, good bed linens and a fine bath. The room was bright and had no carpets on the floor (which we prefer). The staff was always there to help.

Everything was wonderful, including staff, location cleanliness...Would go back again and would recommend...

If you are in Paris as a tourist, this central location between the louvre, Musee D'Orsay and Latin quarter is perfect. Easy walking distance to many museums and sites! The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay at this quirky hotel again. Not a single picture in this hotel was hanging straight, but the ease of location and wonderful staff made the quirks worthwhile. The rooms are Spartan, but comfortable. The bathrooms are a little dated but clean and the elevator is minuscule. The breakfast was excellent. The terrific staff and ideal location overcome the oddities!

Best left bank location in Paris. Small boutique hotel & rooms but just perfect for a few days and nights. Great Staff makes it even more inviting,

Great location, wonderful staff (spoke perfect English)...rooms are small but it is like this everywhere in Paris. The rooms were very clean and quiet.

After returning our rental car from CDG, took RER and 1 transfer, we arrived only about 2blocks from the hotel. Location is great since the museums, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The hotel is old and small, but had charm of its own with wooden beam ceiling. The room was clean, and even had free WIFI. The staffs are all nice and spoke English. For 3 star rating-it is what was expected. It was okay for us to stay for just 3 nights, but if we had to stay longer, I will not stay again because of the size of the room and the bathroom.

would go back to this hotel as staff was great. patricia the mgr was very helpful in answeing questions in detail. great concierge

Near the Louvre, Orsay, Notre Dame and St. Germain it was very convenient to walk everywhere. The room was not what I expected for what we paid. Listed as a Deluxe room, it was on the fifth floor, tiny room, and tub but no shower. We were on the street side of the hotel but it was fairly quiet at night. Bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. This was a fully pre-paid reservation but we still had to pay an additional "city tax" per night.

Hotel Academie was better than hoped for. The location, 2 blocks from the Seine, 4 blocks from the Louvre Museum, was excellent. Going in the other direction, Metro was 2 blocks away, great cafes and stores for shopping. Great chocolate shop next door, expensive but great quality. Staff all spoke English well, were very helpful and pleasant. The only drawback in 5 nights was the cleaning person did not leave new rolls of toilet paper or new shampoo the last 2 days, we ran out of both. Room was small, but comfortable, and who stays there for very long anyway. Just to sleep, bathe, and change clothes. Bathrooms were fine, had jacuzzi tub and needed it after long days of Louvre, and other explorations.

We originally booked a standard room, but when we arrived the front desk clerk looked at me and said I probably wouldn't like the room because of my height. We upgraded to a larger room which was small but cozy. The upgraded also provided a free breakfast which was fabulous so we didn't mind the additional cost per night (29e). The location was perfect for getting around. The staff also recommended two restaurants nearby that turned out to be spectacular. We will stay there again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with small , quaint ,fabulous hotel. Their friendly, professional staff is always their to assist you any way they can. Each room is unique and all decorated with magnificent taste. The location is wonderful, short walking distance to The Louvre, Norte Dame , Orsay Museum and the water taxies on the Seine. Only two blocks away is great shopping and all kinds of restaurants on the Boulevard Saint Germain. We are recommending this hotel to all are friends , along with booking this hotel for our Paris trip in 2013.

Staff is wonderful;junior suite is nice and roomy and quiet; location is within walking distance of many sights and shopping.

This was a great place. The desk staff was exceptionally helpful. They spoke English which made it much easier for us. It was close to a lot of restaurants and the sights. It was fun just to walk through the streets and window shop. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was very charming, cozy, and clean. Location was perfect! can't wait to go back!
