We were satisfied with our room and the bed was pretty comfortable. The shower was nice and powerful! We loved being right next to the metro in a wonderful location. Easy walk to St. Germain for wonderful meals.
This hotel was recommended by someone in our neighborhood website, Nextdoor. I emailed the hotel a few times about our reservation and changes, and they responded very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an email a week prior to arrival with a survey seeking ways to prepare for our arrival. We arrived in the late morning, only hoping to store our bags until check-in time, and our room was ready! That was such a bonus after our red-eye flight. The location is very central and extremely convenient for all sightseeing, museums, restaurants, grocery (Monoprix) and other stores. It's in a pretty safe neighborhood with lots of people (tourists) walking around in the evening, but we didn't hear any street noise from our room facing the street. The Junior suite is very comfortable and the bathroom is extremely clean. It's a small boutique hotel and the staff was ready to help in every way. Willie, the first gentleman who checked us in even told us who would be working the next shift and the one after, so we know who we would be talking to each day. They were all excellent. Thank you for making us feel at home in Paris.
The staff was wonderful. Fluent in many languages and facile at English. They were helpful helping make plans and giving advice about outings, and orienting us to Paris. The hotel is wonderfully located on the Rive Guache, easy walking to metro, restaurants, Notre Dame, Ile de Cite, the Louvre, Musee D'oOrsay, Les Halles, Le Marin etc. The rooms were spotlessly clean and adequate, with nice bathrooms and hot water. Gave high recommendations.
I am lazy. I dont like to change trains and locale based at St Germain works. Hotel Residence des Arts isnt the cheapest place to stay in the area but... RER B and RER C right at door step so you can reach Charles de Gaulle and Versaille easily. say 5 min. And 5-10 min walk away, you get the Lourve and Notre Dame. Within 20 min walk away, you get Pantheon, St Sulpice, Marche St Germain, Luxembourg gardens... for those who love to walk, this place is a dream and chockful of lovely shops selling crepes, aromatherapy stuff, books, etc. We stayed at the 3rd floor facing the pub and there is zilch noise with windows closed. Small and tight space but comfy and clean. Coming home at night around 9-10pm is still very safe due to the large numbers of restaurants and pubs and mainly office executive crowds and tourists. Paris is on high alert so you see patrolling by police with machine guns but thats about all you can feel "feel" for security worries.
Lovely, clean, helpful travel tips, Paris. Great, walkable location! Who could ask for more? Mostly, the staff was amazing. Helped us with every travel need. Highly, highly recommended. Loved the area of Paris!
Perfect location in the Latin Quarter for exploring Paris. Steps from four Metro stops and RER. Although tiny rooms and teeny elevator, the welcoming and gracious staff make up for any deficiencies. We did not come to Paris to stay in our room! Many thanks to Alexander for finding us a direct train to Caen when a train strike canceled our prepaid reservation. Willie and Marina made us feel special and answered all questions.
Great hotel with excellent location, staff, security, etc. Although we would stay there again, we are puzzled by one thing. We reserved a junior suite which had a small kitchenette and although it had plates, silverware, glasses, 2 burner stove, etc., it did not have any coffee making equipment. We certainly weren't going to buy groceries and cook meals in the room but a cup of coffee in the morning would have been a plus. Four other hotels in Europe we stayed at didn't have a kitchenette but did have coffee/tea making equipment.
We stayed several nights and enjoyed the hotel and surrounding location. Staff was very helpful and it is on an adorable little street. Room was nice with wifi included. Check in was easy and whenever we had a question the staff was there to assist.
Stairs and elevator are a challenge with kids, but otherwise excellent character/location. Could use update on finishes and fixtures soon. Loved the breakfast and Latin Restaurant. Windows on fourth floor were great.
Super friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Easy access to restaurants, Metro, RER and Bus transportation. Steps away from Place Saint Michel and Île de la Cité. My wife and I plan to stay again on our next trip to Paris.
