We decided to spend 2 days in Paris for part of our vacation and we wanted a 4 star hotel to stay in, we opted for the Novotel it looked nice good location. When we arrived a was a little disappointed it didn't look 4 star from the beginning, we was greeted on reception by a lovely and very helpful lady and the check in was very smooth no issues she also helped us find our bearings and pointed out the bus routes and where all the attractions were. The room was ok but no bath which is what the wife always asks for, no problem they moved us to a room across the corridor which had a bath. No iron no ironing board in room had to ask reception. Nice and clean room and the beds were very comfy and clean. Breakfast was hectic self serve big cues at the 2 pop up toasters, you had to cook your own eggs in small individual frying pans. Chipolata sausages and shriveled up bacon, just not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Ok for 2 nights but would definitely chose somewhere else if I went to Paris again.
A comfortable night rest in this hotel. It's very close to the motorway. Next to China Town. Suitable our trip. There is a paid parking provided by the hotel. Since we were late, we could easily found a free parking on the street. In the morning, you'll start to pay at 0830. Room is spacious & clean. Bathroom with both a bath & a shower. Free wifi When check out, I saw a little basket with some small gadget for the kids, my son was very happy about the present.
We stayed 3 nights due to a fencing event nearby. We chose Novotel because we like the chain. We should have opted for the cheaper option next door (Ibis) like our club. The staff was friendly, when you spoke to them, but they seemed to be more occupied with chatting with each other rather than serving the guests. They even forgot to send towels up to us, despite me going down to ask for them. My husband reminded them the second day and got them. There was loud drilling noise early in the morning with no warning. The standard of the room was poor, the sofa bed hadn't been made up for our kids which we had also requested, which isn't even necessary at other Novotels. We did it ourselves. One of the corner of a wall in the bedroom was broken with a metal piece sticking out which I cut myself on when sitting down unpacking my suitcase. Our daughter had an accident in bed where she leaked some urine. The housekeeping covered it up by putting the duvet on top. Next year, when we take our son fencing, we will choose Ibis next door or another hotel to stay at. This was a waste of money.
Two night stay in June, my room was on the 7th floor, very good size room and well laid out, due to nature of my stay had to leave at 0700 each day and the hotel had laid on early breakfast which was very good, One housekeeping point returned at 1800hrs only to find my room had not been attended to, one phone call and it was sorted
Stayed there for 4 nights (2 families). Nice and clean hotel. Big rooms with sofa beds, best suited for families with kids. Very supportive staff.. and near to metro stations and shopping mall. Continental breakfast with limited items but enough for breakfast ( I like the coffee machine and the Tea pots ) breakfast tables could be crowded around 8:30 as most of the tables are occupied by airliners staff. Nothing to complain.. but don't expect luxury I would recommend this hotel. Do I prefer to stay again : YES
We spent 5 nights in Novotel Porte D'Italie over the Easter period as a family of 4. The hotel is ideally located beside Paris's "Chinatown" area and the city centre is easily reached by metro. Porte D'Italie Metro is about a 5-10 minute walk away as are some of the best Vietnamese restaurants this side of Saigon. We were very impressed by the service and facilities at the hotel. We were especially satisfied with the clear effort to cater towards families. The lobby area had an XBox, a touchscreen coffee table with Angry Birds games and some wooden toys. There was also an I- Mac and printer as well as a large touchscreen computer for checking flight info, printing boarding passes etc. The staff were excellent in every way and helped make us feel at home. The kids were given complimentary toys and invited to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. The rooms were also very clean and spacious in comparison to other Paris hotels we have stayed in. We stayed ion the 7th floor and had a view of the Eiffel Tower. We will definitely be back!
Whenever we visit Paris by car, we always stay there. The carpark is very easy to access from the motorway or the périphérique without having to face the terrible Parisian traffic and the hotel is at walking distance of two metro stations. The rooms are big and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient, we once had an issue with a noisy construction site next door, we just had to mention it and they immediately found us another room. The breakfast is generous. We will definitely keep going there.
Good location short walk from metro,Easy to check in on-line, for a superior room over rated, lack of attention to details top end prices Breakfast good value for the price, shame this hotel does not offer single rooms
The hotel is very good if you are on business trip and the office you need to reach is in the area. As a tourist, it is a bit far from the city centre, but still quite accessible by metro. Good location for having access to a variety of shops - lots of Asian shops and restaurants on one side and a big shopping centre with supermarket included, on the other.
To say the truth I do not know if I have Europamundo Vacaciones or Novotel to blame .One of these two ( maybe even the two ) should mind the risk of a bad companionship. We arrive some 50 meters FROM the Hotel to be informed that would be no help with luggage. I mean not only the " hand " luggage but whatever luggage you have . Sooooo , a group with heavy luggage, hand luggage and bags had to cross a place with certain difficult , Cross a street with traffic and pull the luggage to access the sidewalk. And ....... pass the revolving door ......And pull down the luggage over the elevated inicial floor..... And go to where the Europamundo guide to reach the key And go upstairs with a medium size lift ( elevator) They have free Wi fi ? Yes ! You have to INSERT YOUR E MAIL to have that Wi fi with with hiccups. I am so angry that I was up to do this review now . I have FOUR DAYS here and MAYBE I will be up to have another review for to say better things ( OR WORSE )
