Hotel is nice. Great breakfast, good location, staff helpful but should be more knowledgeable about area. Room we were in must have been in older section. Room was tired. Mattress was made of marble. Tub shower was quite a step up to get in. Reception advised at check in we were up graded to deluxe with jetted tub, that was on my original reservation.

The hotel was nice, easy to check in and out. Staff were outstanding - breakfast was very good. Great location - could walk to historical sites, stores, train station. Only complaint was the amount of noise coming from outside the hotel and right through the windows -- Need better soundproofing.

Horrible stay. I feel duped, not a 3 star hotel. Worst sleep ever, both nights. The most uncomfortable bed, I had to use the blankets to wrap myself up just to get any comfort. And it was very noisy. Dirty, dirty, dirty.

Good location, near metro station. Beautiful hotel when you walk in but the rooms look tired. I switched rooms so I could have a balcony and both rooms were in the same condition. Very hard bed with small pillows; however, it had a hot shower. A kettle was in the room but no mini-fridge. Several English TV stations and the room was quiet.

Location is great. Staff are helpful, room is clean. Walls are not as sound proof as we would like. Great breakfast. Wish the tub is a little larger.

Staff took care of us from the second we walked in the door. Extremely accommodating, nice staff and great rooms. In an extremely convenient part of town. Highly recommend for the price.

The hotel is clean smaller hotel. But can't beat the location. Right at tip of Ermou street. And 5 min walk to Syntagma square. And the front desk is very helpful . Call for taxi and store our luggage while we are too early to check in { 10:00 am} .

The hotel was well located. We were able to walk easily to sites. shops, and restaurants. The breakfast was quite good. There was much to choose from to suit all tastes. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We were able to see the Acropolis lit up at night from our room. In essence, the hotel was a good value.

Great location and view! We would stay again. Staff very helpful.

I went to Athens to meet up with a friend and explore. Hotel Cypria was quiet, neat, organized, and located amidst the city buzz. It had a nice breakfast buffet with hot and cold options. The bed felt a bit tougher than I'm used to, but it was alright. The staff was polite and called a taxi for me when it was time for me to leave. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Athens.

Hotel is in a great location. Rooms were okay. Some problems with drains in bathroom. Staff a bit curt, but this is probably a reflection of cultural differences.

We stayed here twice while traveling in and out of Greece via Athens. We were looking for a safe, convenient, clean, inexpensive hotel located near transportation and the main tourist sites. The Athens Cypria met our needs. It's not fancy, though I think we had one of the cheaper category rooms. The lower room comfort score is based on the bed being two twins pushed together rather than a true shared bed, which was a minor inconvenience.

I did not spend a lot of time at the hotel because I had a really early flight back to the US. The location was good, close to shopping and Singtagma square, room was clean, and good choice for the price.

The steps between the check-in desk & the elevator were not roller suitcase friendly & the hallways didn't inspire much confidence but the rooms are nice! A/C works, TV in room, shower is tiny but refrigerator & safe were nice amenities. Great breakfast!

The Athens Cypria is a real value, really just about ideal for travelers looking for moderately priced lodgings in an ideal location. If you insist on luxury, look elsewhere, and be prepared to pay what it takes. Rooms here are modestly sized, but certainly not cramped. Some of the furnishings are a little scuffed here and there, but we found it very clean, well appointed, comfortable and despite being quite full, wonderfully quiet (our room was in the back, away from the little pedestrian Street it fronts). The staff seems friendly and efficient, and went out of their way to accommodate a couple of small requests. The complimentary drink in the cafe adjoining was a nice touch (coffee, juice, ouzo) and we were delighted that a young woman appeared with a basket of oranges and apples right after we got to the room. But the best part is the location, steps from Syntagma , edge of Plaka, an easy stroll to Monastiriaki and the like. The major pedestrian walk Ermou is steps away. You can hike-climb pretty easily up to the walk that rings the Acropolis from here, reach on foot many major museums and of course an abundance of good places to eat and drink, and the Syntagma subway station is near for more distant adventures.

The Athens Cypria Hotel was clean, pleasant, and very affordable for that part of town. Since the Syntagma area is not where I usually have business in Athens, I had several questions about where to find certain services, and the hotel staff were always both pleasant and helpful about answering my questions. I would certainly stay there again if I need to be in central Athens.

Stayed there 2 nights. Had problems with water leaking from the fridge and a room safe that didn't lock. Were moved to another room on our request. Still had problems with the safe. Once batteries were changed safe worked okay. Rooms were small but comfortable. Bathroom had some mould. Staff spoke English well and were helpful in attending to our problems. Location is excellent. Don't think I would stay there again.

I stayed 2 nigths , this hotel have the best location, it is clean, near syntagma station .. In a nice and safe area.

The best feature of the Athens Cypria is the location!! The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety for different tastes. The rooms were small (and the elevator smaller) but it was fine for our needs. We stayed in three different rooms during our vacation. Our last room on the first floor did not have a balcony or view which was disappointing but the others were good. I would probably stay again if in town.

Stayed 2 nights (August 25th & 26th). Great locaton for those who intend to move around with public transport as the Airport Bus X95 stops at a bus-stop not far from Ermou Street, major shopping street. Syntagma Square is just opposite Ermou Street and there is a metro station plus the tram station is just nearby. This bus-stop is also the stop for the Athens City Tour Hop-On & Hop-Off service. Many places of interest, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The reception was also very helpful during my stay and I would say, it is value for money due to its location to save on other means of transportation to get around. It only cost Euro 5 form the airport via public bus and the main bus stop going back to the airport is also just a stone throw away from Ermou Street or just the next stop after the latter, still within the Syntagma Square. However, I did not really see the hote facade as shown in the picture above; maybe this is an old picture.
