very small rooms. staff very average only positive location very near to arc de triomphe and champs elysee ; breakfast very limited better to take without breakfast as lots of small cafes right outside
The Mecure Paris Wagram is a smart, little hotel well located in the 17th and just a moment's stroll from the iconic Arc de Triomphe. I've stayed a few times and have been more than pleased with the rooms I have been allocated, which, though not large, are very well presented, and surprisingly well insulated from any street noise. The bathrooms are modern with more than ample water pressure, especially from the rainforest shower. Heavenly. And, most importantly, the beds are wonderful. One delta is that the breakfast room is quite tight and could use more ventilation, especially when more than 70% of the tables are occupied. No need for a sweater down there. Will I be back? Of course.
I stayed in the Hotel for only one night. The check in went very smooth, very friendly staff. The rooms are rather small, but very nice design and the limited space is used in a optimal way. Unfortunately, the rooms are a bit noisy, on the one side from an airco, on the other side from the street. In addition, it seems that the Metro line runs below the Hotel, because there is a kind of vibration quite frequently, but it calms down during the night. Breakfast is in the basement and provides a good selection of food. However the corridor to reach the breakfast room is close to the storage of the cleaning staff and the atmosphere is not very cosy, if you have to pass by the cleaning cars to reach the breakfast room. Location of the Hotel is good, close to several Metro stations.
The Hotel is tiny and the rooms are small. 2 person Max in one room. And don't bring to much bags there is no space. But The room bathroom was modern, clean, and confortable. The Hotel is located in a tiny street adjacent to a main one. If you have a room that is street view you might hear the cars but you can choose the inner room view on the tiny court area.
Located near Champs Elysees, plenty of restaurants around. Train station is only few steps away. Room is new with nice bathroom and quite spacious for Paris standard. Le Bus Direct bus to and from CDG airport is nearby. Reception is very well and fast.
The localization of the hotel is great but when we made the check in, nobody told us that they re having an internet problem, and there s no wifi for the weekend! We figure it out when we had been unpacked and tried to use it! I had trouble to made some work I had to do!!!! Unbelievable! After that, in the Sunday morning the fire alarm starts ringing at 7am, and after everybody was out of the hotel, no one that works that said nothing about it. The room and the hallway smells cheese! It was not a good experience with the mercure!
This hotel is a nice walk away from the Palais de Congres where I attended a congress. If you don't fancy the hotel breakfast, there are a couple of good 'boulangeries' on the way. Abdou, receptionist was extremely helpful and printed a map pointing out 'Boulanger' on the way. The hotel is close to the Arc de Triomphe and well served with the metro and RER. The room was nicely decorated, clean and modern with a large TV, wifi, safe, minibar and hot beverage facilities. Would stay there again.
We stayed for 2 nights in January. The room was comfortable but extremely small - you couldn't pass each other as there was so little space around the bed, so you would have to take turns to walk in an area....probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Despite this fact, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was also clean with a good shower. There was a bit of noise, from people out in the streets in the night, and also you can feel the metro underneath the hotel which was a bit strange but didn't keep us up at night. Only a 30 second walk from the metro to the hotel so it was good for getting around by metro. We bought 10 metro tickets each and they were enough for the whole weekend and cost €14...top tip...the tickets for the metro are valid for 2 hours so re-use them if you are within the time allowance.
This was our third visit to this hotel; the first to include breakfast. The rooms are small (typical for Paris), extremely clean, quiet with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is compact with a great shower. There is a small fridge, safe, and hair dryer. The staff is efficient and helpful. The breakfast was only OK. Coffee was good. Scrambled eggs were runny, sausages often cold, and almost no fresh fruit--and the fruit that was displayed was rather poor quality. However, the worst part was the bread that was served. It was the cheapest, most tasteless industrial baguette allowed to be sold in France. This was a real surprise as there are several excellent bakeries within a short distance of the hotel. Mercure can certainly do better. In summary, the rooms are good, but skip the breakfast.
Looks like this hotel doesn't believe that Wi-Fi connection is an essential service. I am really sorry I chose this hotel. TV satellite reception doesn't work either. Complained to reception. They do not care. Might as well cut my Accor Silver card in half.
