Good stay for a couple of days, however images are deceiving (Not as shown on pictures). Hotel is situated at the station so expect train noises and my rooms pipes kept making noise. I was there for the New Years so was hardly at the hotel. Many shops around to eat and easy access from the station to anywhere. Not quite sure if i would recommend though.
My self and my family checked into kyriad 10 gare de l'est on july 18, 2017. We had booked two rooms and found them to be quite satisfactory. My daughter and her friend discovered we could access the roof from our room windows and we were treated to the lights of paris every nite from the room top including an excellent view of the eiffel tower. Even better, kyriad 10 gare de l'est sits within a train station and above the metro. We were able to access all of paris, all the sites, even euro Disney with such access. Travelling the metro is cheap 1.40 euros per person and passes are available as well. The train station has a tourism office within it and one can purchase all the passes, get information, even set up a visit to euro Disney right from the train station. We loved paris and were able to sample the city and the food to great success. If you stay at kyriad 10 gare de l'est take a walk to chez aldo or east side bistro. Both are excellent and chez aldo is like home. Say "hi" to astrid for me at chez aldo. All together kyriad 10 gare de l'est is great value and great fun.
Stayed there for 2 nights (early June 2017). Had reached in early and the lady at the reception was kind enough to allot a room that had just become available. However, the Air conditioner was not working and she really had no clue of how to resolve. So after some time she alloted a different room, which was good overall. Key points: 1. Location is within the premises of Gare De L'Est. Hence very convenient 2. Did not hear any noise from the running trains. We were in Room 206 3. Incase you are taking the L'Open Tour (hop-on-hop off) bus, there is a stop close-by (yellow line) 4. They provide 1 small bottle of complimentary water. I will suggest the property to provide atleast 2 bottles, if there are 2 guests in a Room. 5. I did not have a safe locker in the room, which I think is a must 6. There is a locker available at Euro 2, incase you want to store your luggage. It can fit in 1 large suitcase + 1 medium + 2 hand bags, if arranged properly 7. Incase you are entering late at night, use the door-bell Happy touring!
We chose this hotel as we needed an early train in the morning. The hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. There is breakfast if you don't want to eat out. The metro is just across the road. There is a little noise from the trains but I didn't find it a bother at all. I think the louts out the front. We'd to be addressed as I feel it let's down this little place. The rest was ok
If youarrive by train at Gare d'Est it is perfect. Out of the train, go out were the taxis are waiting, 10 m to the left and thre steps to the elevator and you're in the lobby. Very friendly people, day and night. The room was not luxury, but clean, nothing out of order and not small. The breakfast is an absolute dream, for Paris it's like paradise. A buffet with cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruits, meat, cereals, different kind of bred, coffee, tea, milk and water. And the absolut best thing it the fresh orange juice. You pull the trigger and the fruit fell down, were cut in two and pressed, disappear and the juice runs in your glas...
Booking a night from this hotel was a mistake. Only good point is that it is located in centrum. It is right on top of Gare de l'Este train station. You can both hear and feel the trains. All night long. Room was cleaned but not clean. I like to sleep in a cool room but for someone who doesn't it might have been too cold. I had a room with breakfast, but breakfast was merely a joke.
This hotel was my last two nights before flying home. I wanted something near the train station, with a short, easy trip to the airport for an early morning flight. Although there's an elevator, it doesn't go all the way down to the ground, which could be a problem for some people. Even though the hotel is above a large train station, I heard no train noises. It's also set well back from the street, so there were no noises there either. The room was quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious and a well-balanced diet was available. The place was clean, and my room was large and clean. It's now two months since I stayed there, and I don't recall a nice large lounge area, so the hotel may not be suitable for a longer stay in which a person wants to sit around in the evening, but it's certainly very adequate for the type of short stay I had.
We book 3 rooms at this hotel but unfortunately, all the air con in these three rooms are faulty. When i report the problem, the feedback was received with a poor attitude and zero solution was proposed. For the first time in my life staying in a hotel, i have to sleep with the window open. In summary, great location but poor service
Nice trendy and clean rooms, very cozy. Helpful reception staff. Hotel is next to metro station, I fact part of station building. It's a heritage building. Lot of nice restaurants closer to the hotel and branded shopping options available in the same building. Lot of local shops as well around the hotel. City view from the Windows.
Spend a night here with my wife, it's a simple hotel but unique, neat, not too small room unlike the other hotel within the vicinity. I like the location as you get out of the station, a few steps away and voila, you're there, very helpful to travelers who were tired of their previous flight then rest for a while then proceed to explore the beautiful city of Paris. Highly recommended.
