This small hotel is a cosy one. Quiet far from the city center and almost fine. But there are huge problems which could solve easily by the management. The hotel is clean enough but not that clean expected. There are screatches and holes on the walls if you look around. The water wasn't exit easily from the bathroom, the bathroom itself was not the best... At the end I don't suggest it while you have other options.
We stayed for three nights in room 529, and apart from the WC being very close to the sink, the room was fine. We were in a ' double superior ' and it was exactly as the Hotel photos depicted. It was very comfortable, clean and the heating was fully functional but not required. The Hotel has obviously taken notice of some previous guests comments, as refurbishments were being carried out during our stay. We found all the Hotel staff very helpful, especially Marie on the Reception and the chap in charge of the Breakfast Room. We had a choice of Cereals, Fresh Croissants, Cold meats and choice of Cheeses. A selection of Teas and coffees were also available. We are quite fussy eaters but were suitably impressed. Being in the 20th Arrondissement, does mean its on the outskirts of Paris, but you should be aware of that before you book. With the Metro about 5 mins away, If you buy a book of 10 Metro tickets( 10 Euros ) you can be the other side of Paris in 30 mins( 1 ticket per trip if you travel direct ). . Within 2/3 minutes you will find the ' Europe Brasserie ' which serves very good quality meals and drinks. If you don't mind walking for 10 minutes, you will find ' The Patio ' Italian Restaurant which also serves very good quality meals and drinks, but is a little bit more expensive but well worth a visit. We booked ' Day Tickets ' on the ' Hop On/ Hop Off Bus Tour ' which was a must, but at £30 each does seem a little expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ' The Tamaris ' and will definitely visit again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great value *** budget hotel. If you are looking for a large International hotel with all the frills, then this hotel is not for you. If you are looking for a nice, friendly, comfortable budget hotel then this one ticked all the boxes for us.
A little bit far from the center, this small hotel could be a lot better. It wasn't that bad-the rooms were not big, but ok for Paris, there was an en suite bathroom, and a little padio to enjoy your breakfast. The breakfast was croissants (still hot!) coffee, juice, jam and butter. Basic but not bad. The people were nice and helpful. The main problem with this hotel was that it was quite dirty. The sheets had holes from cigarettes, there was mole in the bathroom and the corridors were dusty and smelly. Too bad, cause it really could be better,
Nothing like the pictures online. Completely false advertising. Purchased a double "superior" room but instead was put in a room with broken bedside table, missing light bulbs in bedside lamps, shabby furniture, grotty decor and the tiniest bathroom where there was not even enough room to sit on the toilet properly. The room was noisy and smelled of smoke. The hotel could not change our room on the first night. On second day they offered a larger room but it was just as shabby and depressing. Absolutely awful!!! We did not stay and left. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The hotel manager was arrogant and unfriendly. He didn't even apologise once for our experience.
We stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Reviewing the website it looked lovely but it was very deceiving because it was nothing like the website pictures, I think they were taken of the hotel next door. The room was very small, we had to leave the bathroom door open to use the toilet as it was so small you could not shut the door. There were no light bulbs in the bed side lamps (despite reporting this they were still not replaced). The room was very basic, no hair dryer or refreshment facilities. The dining room was very small and our first morning we went for breakfast there was hardly anything to eat, there were cobwebs on the lights and the tables were dirty. On the upside it was a good location for the train. We visited paris which was about half an hour on the train and we visited disney land which was about an hour away both very accessible. We would definitely go to paris again but not stay at this hotel.
We purchased the Groupon Superior room and we were not disappointed. The hotel has all you need with a Metro right opposite to all of the tourist attractions. Nice and neat little place. Would definitely go back. Only thing it's missing is a kettle in the room 😂
Nice small hotel within easy reach of all the main attractions metro stop just around the corner lady on reception really helpful and friendly Great value for the price room a bit on the small side but what do want to stay in your room for when there is so much to see
We came to this hotel based on the ok reviews on tripadvisor. First night was a nightmare as the bed was rocking all night making squeezing noise and the mattress was absolutely awful (room 106)...in the morning we asked to change...which they did...bed was ok but in the morning you hear all the noises people who are leaving and it disturbs your sleeeeeep...breakfast wasn't much at all...had to walk next door hotel to eat...it was very close to metro station and cheap...so if your night sleep matters then I strongly recommend you avoid this place and look elsewhere...oh forgot to mention that all corridors stink of cigarette smoke
Nothing wrong with this as a base hotel to explore Paris, right by the metro- clean -adequate breakfast! Rooms are tiny but who goes to Paris to stay in your room anyway !overall a decent hotel with no major complaints
Superb location, neat rooms, friendly and helpful service except of an older man who - as I figured out later - was trying to be helpful as well only he could not understand English. Broader range of breakfast items would be welcomed but that is just a small detail. No problem, there are tons of restaurants & bistros nearby.
