Cramped with 2 people - what can I say. Paris hotel rooms are so small and we found out the hard way. Hotel is conveniently located to bus/metro and the bed was nice. The bed however, took up the floor space so much that there was very little (as in tiny) space for 2 people to manuever suitcases and the clothes we needed to wear each day. We kept pulling out suitcase because there is no dresser only small shelves next to bed and bumping into each other. Granted this was our first time in Paris and we did not need the luggage(number of clothe items) we brought, so we learned a lesson too. I can not stress the importance that people need to understand that small rooms mean small. Also we were under the impression we would get a 16 euro each breakfast included with room - no such thing. We felt ripped off for the "did you get it in your hotel invoice?" The website states "Breakfast" so don't assume that unless you negotiate it. Would not recommend unless you don't want breakfast and you understand the little rooms they have. Location, clean room, - except for stain on floor #wife said it was fecus# and bed comfort if this is all that you need - it is ok. For price it was not even close to what I can compare to USA. We stayed in Spain and rooms were very nice in size and cleanliness for same price. We have not had any other travel in Europe to compare other than Spain. oh And it was a 3 star also.

Nothing good to say,it was ok. The location is the best thing about this place

Located 1 min walk from Arch de Triumph and its metro station. Rooms very clean, but typically compact European. Noise can be easily transferred from neighboring rooms and the hallway. (crying baby next door and slamming stairwell door outside room) Recommended for good value and if you do not plan to spend much time in the room. Complimentary air conditioning and wireless internet. Perfect location with fast access to shopping/restaurants frequented by locals. Metro line convenient to Champs, Montmare, Grand Palace, Science Museum, and Eifel. Would return but make sure you're not next to crazy stairwell door or crying babies.

small but clean. Not a lot of room to move around and the shower is tiny. Wouldn't stay again probably- hidden hotel around the corner looks much better for around the same price. Location was great though- right next to the Arch de Triumph

The hotel was recomended by a friend. Its a small hotel not luxurious but it had the best location ever. The metro is just steps away and it has a Mac Donald very close where we ate breakfast everyday. The room was not big but was very clean and it had the best air conditioning of all the hotels we stay in Europe on our one month trip. In fact was the only hotel that we stay in Europe that the air condition did cool the room. i will certainly recommend it and would stay there again.

This hotel is a block away from the Arc De Triumph - staff was friendly - bare bones hotel - not fancy but very clean - We had room 502 with plenty of room for a family of 4 and a great view! Anne from Glendale

I stayed at this hotel for the weekend duration of my stay in Paris. The other hotel I stayed in for the week was in the Madeline area and was definitely better. But, this hotel was much cheaper for the weekend (I saved over 200 euros) so I decided to change hotels mid-trip. Basically you get what you pay for. Both hotels were similar in size, they were small, but that is very common in Paris. Both were in nice areas. The Emeraude Hotel Plaza Etoile, however, ranked lower for me simply for the rooms. They are REALLY outdated. They felt like the late 80's. The comforters on the bed's were gross, the mattress was uncomfortable, the shower was incredibly small even for french standards, and the blow dryer (if you can even call it that) in the bathroom was so old the plastic was a dingy yellow color and looked more like a vacum cleaner. Also, swipe cards to get into the room are horrible. One night it took me about 15 times to swipe the card before the door would open. There are good things about this hotel though, the lobby isn't bad for French standards, and the location is excellent. You basically walk out the front door of the hotel and you are looking right at the Arc de Triumph. Another REALLY important factor, is that it is only about one block away from a great metro station with 3 lines. And anyone who has ever stayed in Paris knows that a good metro line nearby is one of the most important things. I took the metro to get everywhere in the city. SOOOOO much cheaper than taking taxi's. There are also a lot of great little cafe's and restaurants nearby as well. So, to sum it up.....don't stay at this hotel the entire time you are in Paris. It will drive you crazy, the rooms are just too outdated. But if you are looking to save a few bucks on the weekends, or just changing hotels for a few days to try a different part of the city, then I would stay here. If the hotel management/owners would just update the rooms, I would definitely give it a thumbs up. Hopefully with enough comments, they will because they have a great location.

Easy check in. Left our luggage there all day until we did check in. Typical small French hotel. Easy check out. Nothing special, just a small clean room that's close to the action.

A good value for your money. The staff was very professional and efficient. Rooms are small in an old building with very narrow hallways. Wireless Internet is available but expensive. Breakfast is also available but rather pricy.

No issues at all.

The hotel has a great location about two blocks north of the L'Arc de Triomphe. The rooms are small, but clean and air-conditioned. The staff was friendly, and helped us in a number of ways - providing restaurant reservations and recommendations, as well as helping us with which lines and stops to take on the Metro. (There is a Metro entrance just north of the Arc. Very handy.)

Only two blocks from Arc de Triomphe. Great location for site seeing. Close to Avenue Champs Elysees. Wifi access was extra.

We had a small room one half flight up the stairs from the lobby (it was NOT serviced by elevator, not fun hauling luggage!) There was a working air conditioner in the room which was nice. The hotel is very close to Arc de Triomphe and Charles de Gaulle Etoile Metro station. Unfortunately the hotel foundation is directly above the Metro line and you will be awakened by the starting of the Metro line early in the morning. I was there on business so the location was a major factor in selecting the hotel.

Room was really small, but from the looks of things every hotel in the area is small as well. For the location and price this is a good stay, average basically no reason to complain or brag. It is close to the Arc and Champs de Ellyses, if you sign up for the bus tour using les cars (the big red bus) you can reach the champs de ellyses bus stop easily by foot. Hotel served its purpose and was good for the price.

Good value for money. Great location.
