My confirmed request for a quiet room was not honored. This hotel is in a very noisy environment, and I booked the hotel under this condition which was confirmed. Expect room cleaning to turn up when they want, sometimes they don't turn up at all, even at three o'clock in the afternoon when you're having a rest. The hotel looks run-down nothing to do with the pictures on the web-site. The room was tiny (compared to single rooms with Ibis where I usually stay). Ok for one night, but no more.
The hotel was good for my short stay in Paris for sightseeing, walkable distance to Avron metro station. Room was little small, almost no space for my extra baggage. Bed was comfortable and well clean. Only issue is hotel does not have AC, i had to open my window or switch on electric fan in the afternoon. Staffs were good and wifi connection was fast. Location is good as it has lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel.
The hotel was basic but functional. The room was small and in need of decoration, the bedding was clean and fresh but the bed was hard. The on suite shower room was clean but the shower was small, OK for me but cramped for my husband who is 5'10". Any one taller would find it difficult to use. The hotel was noisy with doors banging and the lift beeping. The one positive is that the continental breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very close to the metro so makes getting around Paris easy but the metro system can be quite confusing. The metro is not suitable for the disabled and there are hundreds of steps to climb.
The hotel was fine for a short break. The receptionists were friendly, we were given a "garden room" which was out the back and offered some views of plants and bushes and a pleasant place to sit given warmer weather. The room was quiet, facilities basic but adequate. The bed was comfortable. Towels were changed daily. There was tea and coffee, but only one of us could have tea (one teabag only, although I am sure I could have got more if asked). It was sort of refreshed each day. As other respondants have said, the towels were small. We did not have a door on our shower so the bathroom got soaked, no matter how carefully we showered. We did not want to move rooms so put up with it. The location is great - a metro station nearby (Avron) giving you access to Le gare du Nord, but a short walk to Nation metro gets you anywhere you want in Paris. The nearby Bistrot d'Avron offered an excellent petit dejeuner. Overall - it was as good a hotel as we could wish for, for a short break in Paris. Not excellent but most adequate for the money.
This is not the first timhotel in Paris I used and it is as pleasant a place as he one I was before. One gets all one needs for an interesting price (Paris level 100 Eu/night). Rooms in Paris are always small but this one was of good size for this style of accommodation. Everything is clean and in good order. One room had a faulty heating so we were quickly moved to another one. Giventhe his degree of maintanance this hotel displays it is likely that the heating was soon fixed. The location is fine and well connected, the neighbourhood a friendly mix from all over the world. Restaurants in this area are genuinly nice and affordable. There is no safe in the rooms.
This is a lovely little hotel, situated in a busy street , but once inside you wouldn't know it . The room was spotless and cleaned every day , reception was friendly and helpful . Breakfast was really nice , yogurts , Fruit, cereals , French bread , cheeses , pastries and the lady in the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly . We stayed mid week and would definately stay here again. A good way to travel around Paris is on the metro , really cheap and there is a station on virtually every street .
Shabby hotel has seen better days. Tea and coffee was non existent ( didn't top up after first day), room tiny, towels tiny, no security on wifi, keycard didn't work so locked out of room twice. Quite cheap so get what you pay for.
I have visited Paris around 20 times and stayed at a lot of different hotels. Generally rooms are small and Timhotel's rooms (at least room 515) is actually a little bit larger than many other Parisian hotelrooms. The room was very clean and nice. Bathroom very small (no surprise ...) but functional. Hair dryer included. One of the two lights in the mirror was out of order and need to be changed though. Hot water kettle, tea and coffee facilities in room. Breakfast buffet has something for everybody - even pancakes, and is served in a nice room or in the small backyard garden. I suspect that, at least the room we had, will be very hot during summer (there's a fan in the room) as the sun shines on the windows from morning to sunset. We were there i March, so we didn't have a problem with that at all. All Timhotel rooms are not in the main buildning and I have no idea about the standard in the other rooms, but maybe, just maybe ... it's an explanation to why people's reviews of the hotel is quite varying? Location is superduper. All kinds of stores, restaurants, bars in vincinity. The 3 metrostations - all nearby, give access to all of Paris. We can definitely book this hotel in future as we have nothing to complain about and our stay was really enjoyable.
This hotel resembles a fairly shabby Travel Lodge but the beds are clean and comfortable and it is ideally located for sightseeing via the Metro. I was sure I would prove other reviewers' comments about the staff wrong, and I tried hard to be friendly and positive, speaking a little bit of French to be polite. However, the staff were just as described - they have no inclination to interact with their guests, do not make eye contact and behave in a manner that we would consider rather rude and certainly strange. One receptionist was a cross between Mr Bean and Basil Faulty, and one of the female receptionists resembled a member of the Adams Family . However this did not spoil our wonderful trip and we would consider using the hotel again as it was such good value.
Hotel was very accessible by train. It was very easy to locate. Staffs were generally helpful. During our arrival, there was a problem with the power source and it took a while to be fixed. And it happened 2nd time. It was annoying not being able to charge the gadgets. Room was clean and had the basics, though very small. It was just what we needed as we are out for activities whole day. Rate also included a simple breakfast which was very much needed!
