There was no room for us. They never attempted to contact us. They waited for us to arrive at 7p after a long day, copied our passports( no idea why since we weren't staying there), then informed us. Never again.
Prior to arriving I had several email exchanges with the hotel and was impressed with the quick and helpful responses. Score one! The same helpful attitude prevailed during our two night stay. Score two for the service! Finally, the hotel was kind enough to offer us a free champagne cocktail as we were celebrating our anniversary and our daughter had contacted the hotel to advise them of that fact. Score three for service! Despite this I was disappointed with our room which was quite small and lacked any character. Thankfully though it was quiet (we had an inside room facing an internal courtyard) and the bed comfortable. Having stayed recently at the Hyatts in Milan and Zurich I guess I was expecting more for what Hyatt rates a 5 star property. Other reviewers have talked about the hotel offering its spa to early arrivers until rooms are available for check-in. Arriving from the US in the morning, we were one of those. And while we appreciated very much the option of using the locker rooms for showering and changing clothes (actually the men's locker room was shut down for repairs), I don't want other potential guests to get the wrong impression of what the hotel labels a spa. It is actually a very small area in the basement consisting of a work out room (very noisy), two reclining chairs (that we were fortunate enough to nab) in a public area, a room for massages, and a sauna. It also is the main pathway for the staff to go to other areas of the basement so there was almost constant traffic and the loud sounds of doors opening and closing and carts being pushed. Again, we were glad for the ability to freshen up but to call this area a spa is really a misnomer. We were assured our room would be ready by 4 PM if not earlier. (In one of my emails I had requested an early check-in.) After showering and resting, we busied ourselves with lunch and a bit of walking, only to return and find our room was not ready. We finally got into our room around 4:40. Apparently there were some housekeeping issues as while waiting we overheard another guest complaining that his room had yet to be cleaned for the day! With the abundance of hotels in Paris there may be better choices.
The staff were so very helpful, greeting us every time we entered the hotel, and even remembered our name. The building is beautiful, and even though breakfast was a bit pricy, it was very good. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paris.
We stayed at the Hyatt Paris Madeleine using our Hyatt Membership points and had an ok stay. The room was decent but there was exposed vent above the shower, the drain did not work and missing handle for the hot water. While we did get and "upgraded" room it was definitely in poor shape. Also, do not stay on the first floor because you will hear doors banging below you very late into the evening and very early in the morning. The bright side was Ronan who gave us complementary champagne for our honeymoon and gave us a great recommendation for a fabulous French restaurant. He was incredibly helpful and felt like we were talking to a friend every time we stopped by the front desk.
The staff at this hotel were awesome. Extremely helpful and friendly. Boutique hotel atmosphere in a central location. Room was a littlemon the small side but nice. We would highly recommend this hotel primarily for the attentiveness of their staff.
We recently stayed at Hyatt Paris Madeleine for our honeymoon and can't say enough great things about the hotel, its staff and the location. The staff went above and beyond to take care of any need we had - including shipping things back to the US for us that wouldn't fit in our luggage. The rooms are very good sized and totally up to date with USB plugs and electrical outlets everywhere and even Apple TV connectivity. The ONLY negative I have is that the beds are not super comfortable - it was like sleeping on a rock - and if you have a room that faces the street you're going to hear traffic all throughout the night. If you are a light or finicky sleeper, this might be something to keep in mind. Otherwise, everything is fantastic!
We stayed at the Hyatt Paris Madeleine for our honeymoon and can't say enough about how great the location, staff and amenities are for this hotel. They went above and beyond to take care of any need we had. The rooms are very large for Paris standards and had the best amount of plugs, USB chargers, etc. that I've ever had in a hotel room. The ONLY negative I have about this hotel is that the beds are the worst hotel bed I've ever slept on in my life. If you want great sleep, this isn't the hotel for it. Otherwise, it was everything we could have wanted.
I stayed for almost 2 weeks in this property for business and fell in love with it. It may not be the newest or the fanciest, but the team made me feel at home and you can tell they have received impeccable training. I ate many times in their restaurants for breakfasts and dinners, and all food had been delicious. I arrived very early in the morning from Hong Kong and although my room wasn't available then, I was offered to take a shower at their gym in the basement, along with free coffee and tea in the resting area. Thoughtful indeed. There is a Monoprix down the street and it was very convenient for me to buy wine and snacks for my two weekends in Paris. Madeleine is just around the corner and I could practically walk everywhere from the hotel. Subway is just 2 minutes away and I could get to Champs-Elysees area in less than half an hour on the same line. If you're a Hyatt fan I would recommend this property for its location, perks and the friendly staff. Made me feel right at home during my 2 weeks there!
Pleasant, warm and cozy Parisian Boutique Hotel in the heart of Paris. This was one of my most memorable Hyatt Hotel stays. From the front door, to the front desk, room service, breakfast dinning, and housekeeping... staff is eager to please and make you feel at home. Rooms have been renovated and offer all the modern amenities an international traveller would require. The rooms are bright, warm, decent adjustable lighting, curtains that block out the sunlight, good room temperature control and a great shower! But... above all the staff is wonderful... they are warm, welcoming, eager to please... they make you feel at home. It was very hard to leave this hotel and move to the Park Hyatt... that is how much I enjoyed my stay here... It's been 25 years since I've been to Paris and staying at the Hyatt Paris Madeleine was the perfect way to return to this vibrant, beautiful city. Thank you for a Perfect Stay I will be back soon.
Five days in August, great for shopping, short ride to key attractions. Nice neighborhood. Uber worked well in going around town. Lot of life on weekdays, was quite weekend. Short walk to a number of restaurants.
