We reached this Hotel from 07 June through 10 June 2018. On 07 June, we took train from Amsterdam to Paris and travelled by metro with a kid and were really tired. We asked receptionist about when the restaurants and grocery shops close in Paris as was 6 pm and she RUDELY replied that, "It's Paris, and there are restaurants opened quite late". We also asked that we want to take city tour she would recommend and she said that use TripAdvisor. We knew that next 3 days, we are all alone and our help was Google to search nearby places. Although Hotel is near to Eiffel tower but walking towards could be tough as it's there are many signals in between. It took around 35-40 minutes. You can take bus number 42 which is around 15 minutes from Hotel. The rooms are relatively big but we did not get any shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. The ONLY good service we got was in our check out, and receptionist was very helpful, helped us booking taxi and showed us nearby places for shopping. A suggestion to the Hotel. Please get some good receptionists who knows how to talk politely... it's very very important.
We were a family of 6 adults traveling together, so we booked 3 rooms. They accommodated our request to be near each other. The rooms were of adequate size, although our large luggage did take up a lot of space. Their breakfast buffet was excellent, but the crowning achievement of the breakfast was the wonderful coffee machine which dispensed many different sorts of coffee (latte, cappuccino, espresso) and catered to my family's different tastes. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again in the future.
This is worst hotel ever seen in my life Worst lady at reception not helping very rude Would never recommend it this hotel if offering rooms free of cost Location also very bad Very bad very bad very bad
This Mercure hotel is suitable if you are staying for a short period in France. As it is close to 2 metro stations: Boucicaut on line 8 and Convention on line 12, you have better options when you need to change metro lines. It may be a little out of the way from the city area, but you are in 3km radius of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is well located with a supermarket just opposite the hotel. There are bigger shopping outlets, other mini supermarkets, cafes, patisserie and KFC on route to the Convention metro station. The hotel staff themselves were courteous and very helpful in guiding you through the metro lines. The room itself is very small. The room has been extremely well designed to cater to as maximum storage space as possible, however, it is undeniable that it is quite a constrained space. The bed is comfortable and made up daily with fresh sheets. The bathroom is nice and functional. The shower is particularly nice with really good consistent hot water both from the rain shower and normal shower head at any time. Though there is room service, the variety is limited. It would be cheaper to buy food from the patteserie and supermarkets around the hotel. In short its a great hotel for a no fuss stay in an awesome location.
It is simple and good hotel for short stay. Region is good. Service is normal. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is also enought. Staff are kind and helpful. If you will visit Paris for bussines or short trip which you will not spend lots of time in hotel, this hotel can be chosen.
I stayed here as many other hotels were either full or very expensive due to an event at Porte de Versailles. The hotel is rather small and cozier than a normal chain hotel. I was greeted in a very friendly way, the guy happens to visit my village in Belgium from time to time........funny. Breakfast was good. Not the most fancy hotel but I loved being there as the place was quiet. When I woke up I heard Johnny Halliday died, it was the only thing people spoke about.
I took my children and grand children's on a USO Columbus weekend trip to Paris, France and this was there first time visiting Paris, the hotel was booked by the organizers and we had three rooms, they were clean, and the beds were comfortable...... the only thing you must remember when going to any hotel in Europe is to bring your own wash cloth ..... I would go back again to this hotel.
The hotel is good because It was near yo the exhibition centre, in the Porte du Versalles área, but un muy opinión is too expensive. When I arrive, the hotel It was complete... al 14:00!!!..Also, the hotel have not air conditioner
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during a trip to Paris for my birthday. The hotel room was clean and modern. It was approximately 15-20mins on the metro to the Eiffel Tower (with two metro stops in close proximity) or about an hours walk away. There is a couple of small supermarkets just opposite the hotel which we found convenient. We mainly ate along the Champs Elysée at Pizza Pino however there's a restaurant called L'argument about 5 mins walk away from the hotel which was superb! Definitely worth a try! The hotel staff were friendly and we felt the hotel was very safe.
There were no toiletries in the room. After complaining first night I was told we will get the soup and condishioner next day and should use the body wash dispenser in the bathtub for now. The next day after not getting any toiletries I complained again but was told it is the Mercury standard not to provide even a hand soap in the rooms. How can a four star hotel do that? Also, the Internet quality is really pour.
