Hotel Lumières Montmartre Paris3.0 out of 5.0

The staff were very helpful, especially George. We did struggle with directions but that was our struggle. The hotel was in neighborhood which we liked. Wish we had visited the cool places in Montmartre but ran out of time.
I stayed here with a friend whilst we visited Paris for 4 days in August. The hotel is located slightly out of the centre, close sacre coeur and the metro station jules joffrin is a ten minute walk which will take you to all the main attractions. The hotel is nice and comfortable with all needed amenities, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small, but as to be expected in Paris and fine as a place to base yourself whilst visiting the sites of the city. The shower is great and we had a large comfortable double bed. Highly recommend as a base whilst visiting the city for a few days.
Very handy for my family, this hotel is close to Montmarte. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean with lovely smooth sheets and an excellent mattress, so slept very well. Good shower (although small) but I could not get the two shower heads to work individually and I have this set up at home, so know how it works. I told the receptionist but it wasn't fixed. There is a small wardrobe with just a few hangers and no drawers, just a shelf, but that's fine for a few days. I don't take breakfast so I liked the fact that this was extra as I'm not paying for something I don't have. Apart from the shower problem, it was a really good stay and I would come back again. Oh, and there's a supermarket right opposite and cafes and restaurants all around.
My family and I stayed for a night, and in that stay we experienced beautiful, clean rooms, a delicious breakfast, but most notably, a warm and hospitable staff who went out of their way to call around for a specific dish we were wanting for dinner. If given the chance, we will definitely come back!
I was surprised at how cheap the hotel was to stay in but for how much we paid it was great! The bed linen and towels were changed every day, it was very clean/quiet and both of us slept very well! The hotel is in a good location, a few minutes walk to Joules Joffrin metro which gives easy access to the centre. The only downfall was that the room was small (but that's Paris) and that we would have liked a kettle in the room so we could make our own tea/coffee.
It was a visit of 5 days, no elevator service for 2 days, not so good breakfast, very small room, no airconditioning and the worst no changing the sheets which is very important, however good staff, close to bus stops and about 10 minutes from metro stations. Not a bad choose for a couple of medium income but it could be better. I hope they improve their services because there is a lot of potential... I am leaving a review of 2 stars due to the sheets. I really believe it's very important to change in a stay of more than 2 days.
This was okay for a few nights. The rooms are even smaller than London standard. Didn't think that was possible. Would not stay in this hotel again. However the area was really great, would stay there again for sure.
Whilst the hotel might be well situated to be able to access the main attractions in Paris it is not suitable for a stay of more than 1 or 2 nights. The double room we were given was tiny with not enough storage space for our limited luggage. The shower was no more than two and a half feet square, the toilet and wash area were not much bigger. The room was clean but very hot, unless you had the windows open and then it was very noisy. The final straw was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities. On the upside the staff were friendly and the breakfast plentiful.
If you don't mind a tiny room (small is an understatement!) then it's ok, it's clean and bright but very small!!! Location is ok, 10mins walk to a metro and 10mins to central Montmartre. This hotel is on the outskirts of Monmartre, walk 10mins one way and you enter a very seedy and dodgy area of Paris - walk 10mins the other way you're in Monmartre. We personally wouldn't stay here again but price wise was good value for money at the time of booking.
A super hotel clean nice and staff very nice I recommend this very much bus metro restaurants just outside good prices around 80€ for one person and Franprix next door and not to forget sacre coeur one station away
