We had a short break booked and the hotel and its staff were amazing the whole time we were there. There were long days and my french failed me the majority of the time and the team went above and beyond to help. Huge thanks to Abdel who was fab for both myself and my other half. Great location for being close to the station and I would consider staying here again for the location. Its a good size room and bathroom.

I had called ahead of time to arrange a hotel room and confirm a rate with Thierry. When I checked in, a different employee, Abdel helped me and I realized he charged me a higher rate than what I was promised. I brought this to his attention and he would not listen to what I had to say. Even though his hotel paperwork showed the rate I was promised. I took a picture of the paperwork as proof as I had a feeling he would try to manipulate it later. I asked to see a manager and he got angry and defensive and snapped, "why do you need to see a manager." I waited until the employee that originally helped me came to work, Thierry. He was so friendly and apologetic. I didn't even have to tell him what happened as Abdel had told him that he argued with a guest. I looked at the hotel paperwork again and sure enough, Abdel had crossed out my rate and added a higher rate. The manager, Eglantine, came in the next day and was also very apologetic and friendly. Eglantine and Thierry were amazing, they handled it well and tried to make things right for me, which I definitely appreciated but I had already told Abdel I was leaving. Abdel should be seriously reprimanded as I've never experienced such service in all the countries I've been to. As for the hotel itself, the location is very convenient to the Metro stop. The room was small as is typical and not very clean. The carpets look very disgusting. There's also construction in the lobby and front entrance. I'm not sure how long this project is expected to last but they don't appear to be protecting the customers from this. When I walked out of the elevator, I walked into a huge dust cloud of drywall or some kind of sanding dust from the ceiling.

Good location on Rue Lucien Sampaix, small and cosy, clean room. Helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is located on a nice street with good places for nice breakfasts and dinner. Nearby the Metro Jacques Bonsergant as Republique.

I stayed for 3 nights with a friend. The hotel is a short walk from the Gare de L'Est and close to Republique as well. It's set back from the street a little and when we arrived there was building work going on so we had to walk across some unsteady planks they'd put down to get to the entrance. Staff were a mixed bag - some friendly, some rude. We had a twin room which was big enough but had an unpleasant musty smell. We could also hear water dripping through a pipe all night. Pretty comfy beds. The bathroom was small but had a great shower. Room servicing was annoying though - as per their instructions, we hung our towels up to indicate that we didn't want them changed, but when we came back the towels were folded up neatly. We couldn't figure out if they were fresh towels or if they'd just folded up our used ones, which isn't ideal if you're travelling with someone you don't necessarily want to share towels with. They'd also pushed the twin beds back together (we'd pulled them apart) and moved used pillows from one bed to the other. The next day we told them not to service our room to avoid all this, but they did it anyway. They charge extra for a small but nice breakfast buffet. Wifi worked well.

Very small room but clean and shower is quite big even though the bathroom is very small. The corridors are so narrow. The entrance is quite ugly but we don't really care about that. The area is ok, not dangerous and short walk to Gare Du Nord as we were coming from London with Eurostar. Not sure will return

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2017.The hotel had very great location as a base to explore Paris. The location is good with the nearest metro station a minute's walk away. And it took us 30 min to walk to the Louvre and Eiffel tower is about 1,15 hours walking. I think Paris is best explored on foot. Lot of eating places and cafe's in the area ( Canal st. Martin, bul. Magenta) The room was small but everything we needed, very cosy with a great shower and basic toiletries and tea/coffee facilites are also there. Everything it's clean and quite enough. The Wi-Fi works well. The room is almost same as those shown in the pictures. The staff was so nice and friendly. It was a great stay and I recommend this place to everyone.

We stayed here for 3 nights in march 2017, we found the hotel to be very good, friendly helpful staff at reception, very handy for the train station, canal st martin is lovely with great bars and restaurants, it took us 30 mins to walk to the Louvre. The room was small but had everything we needed, very cosy with a great shower.

The hotel bed very itcy. Towel is yellow. Internet network cant use most off the time. Rude staff in day timing. In a very dark smallback street. Room is small but that was not the case. Unsafe as u have to hand over ur key to counter when u go out. No safe box Alot more. I think the main few point i had cover. But still Many ppl book due to the rate is cheap, anyway cheap dont come with good staff

We found the hotel lovely for what we required and for what we paid! Great location as a base to explore Paris. 10 min walk from Le Gare du Nord. The room was well presented, layout worked well but we didn't have much luggage. You may struggle here with larger cases. Towel and sheet changes during our stay and we were only in there 3 nights. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this hotel. It was lovely, cosy and warm but with large windows you can open if it gets a little too warm. We really liked it here. Great value comfy & cosy hotel. Don't let the exterior fool you, they're having some building work done I think. TIP; if you stay here Holybelly is just down the street and does THE best breakfast to set you up for the day of exploring!

We stayed here for two nights and quite liked the facilities and arrangements for the price we paid. The hotel front desk staff is very friendly and courteous. They offered us complimentary breakfast also because our check-in got delayed. The hotel also provided luggage room facilities so we could leave our luggage there before checking in and after checking out. The room is almost same as those shown in the pictures. It is small but clean and big enough to keep your stuff comfortably. Basic toiletries and tea/coffee facilities are also there. The breakfast is basic with cereals, bread butter jam and croissants, tea/coffee. The location is good with the nearest metro station a minute's walk away. Lot of eating places and cafe's in the area. Though it is not that close to the main tourist attractions, one can easily take the metro to these places, or better, walk to the locations. Eiffel tower is about 1.15 hours walking but we decided to take the walk instead of the metro as that gave us a good feel of the city. Paris is best explored on foot. Overall, it was a great stay and we would certainly recommend this place to everyone.
