We stayed here for 3 nights during a visit to Paris with some friends and we were very happy with our choice of hotel. The street in which the hotel is located is not the most glamorous in Paris but it is perfectly well located for exploring Paris being walking distance from some of the main visitor attractions and a two minute walk from Villiers Metro station. Moulin Rouge and Montmartre are a good walk or a very short metro ride away and we also walked down to the Arc De Triumph and from there down the Champs Elysee to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. This was a stretching walk but a really pleasant one through areas with great shops and interesting architecture. We made the return journey by Metro and it took just a few minutes. The area of Villiers is lovely with lots of great shops and restaurants and they are just one or two streets away from the hotel. The rooms we had were quite small but well equipped and comfortable. The building is beautifully decorated throughout and has the feel of having had a very recent and very well designed refurbishment. We had breakfast each morning which is served in a very nice conservatory and the food was delicious and satisfying. The staff at the hotel were helpful, friendly, professional and most of them spoke excellent English but were very patient with us when we tried out our phrase-book french . The few staff who didn't speak English went out of their way to be helpful and make themselves understood. Apparently there is a gym in the basement but we did not make use of this during our stay. We very much enjoyed our time at this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.
+Clean , staff ok, good breakfast venue, nearby metro, couple of good restaurants around metro station, room service - Noisy room (even late at night), maintenance ongoing, very tight spaces to access , definitely not morning person kind of staff.
We chose Jardin de Villiers for one of our frequent visits to Paris to visit our son and his family who live in the 17th. Previously we have stayed in an hotel in the 8th and also an Air B&B. What a fantastic find. Not only for the fact that it is so close to them - a very friendly family neighbourhood, a stone's throw from the wonderful Parc Monceau with brilliant links to the rest of Paris - but for the wonderful time we had during our stay with the hotel. Welcome, cleanliness, amenities, breakfast (quality and choice), I could go on but don't take my word for it come and try for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
The room was larger than expected, however not huge but more than comfy. The first 2 nights we were on the front facing the street and my friend did get some interruption from noise, I slept through it all. The main reason was the air conditioner was not working as I'm sure you would not hear a sound otherwise. The lovely Lucy arranged a room change and that was just perfect. She even organised a complimentary breakfast for our last day. The location is great and convienient to the busses and metro and the cafes etc on Rue de Leviis are sensational
Very cosy hotel. Makes you feel at home. Warm atmosphere friendly staff not a lot of rooms. Location is brilliant. Very trendy area. Not far from main cental attractions. Living like a local. So many choices.
A delightful 3 star hotel, away from the tourist districts, and located in a charming 'local' area. Close to a Metro but also very convenient to attractions, if you enjoy walking. Hotel personnel very welcoming. Rooms small but very clean and completely adequate. Excellent breakfast. Lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and outdoor markets in the area.
We visited here for a four-night break whilst our daughter was on her year abroad during university. What a lovely, quaint, typically-French boutique hotel it is. Very clean and comfortable with a comprehensive continental breakfast. Close to local markets, metro stations and restaurants but away from the busy city life.
Our children booked us two nights in April in this sweet, traditional Parisian hotel just 20 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and 30 minutes to Sacre Coeur. So a great location and excellent value. The rooms are on the small side as is the bathroom but everything worked as it should and clean and comfortable bed. The people on the front desk were friendly and helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. My only gripe was that our room was on the ground floor so you could hear all the noise from the street including the rubbish lorries at the early hours every day including weekends. Free WiFi which worked well.
Stayed at hotel for 4 days while attending training course at Mediasite centre just around the corner. The location for this was perfect as it was less than 5 minutes walk. The hotel is 5-10 min walk from the Villiers Metro stop which has good connections onto CDG airport via Gard du Nord. The hotel itself is also situated in a very nice district just beside the market street of Rue de Levis as well as numerous very nice restaurants and shops. Throughout my stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated (I quite liked the pictures on the walls), and as the hotel is not on a main street, is relatively quiet during the night. I only had breakfast once, but there was a good choice but I found the 12€ price a bit high. The only thing I found unusual was that anytime I had to leave the hotel, I had to return my key (a real key, not a card) to reception. Its the first time I have stayed in a hotel that has done this and not really sure why unless they had a problem with guests constantly losing keys.
We very much enjoyed our return visit to the hotel which now has a new breakfast conservatory. Our room was comfortable and the hotel staff are all very helpful. Villiers is a great location with good local shops in Rue de Levis and a selection of cafes and bars.
