Exe Paris offers one of the best locations in this big city. Walking distance to most of Paris' attractions. I like the ambience at night, safe and quiet though centrally located. Small, compact rooms with amenties. Most comfortable beds in all my 23 days in Europe! Friendly staff. Highly recommended for budget conscious travelers yet offers excellent location.
We booked the hotel because it seemed like a well maintained, City near hotel. But as it turns out, it was neither. The check in were more or less painless, the lady at the counter did not speak much English, but after a bit of sign language, and me remembering a couple of glossaries from high school, we got our key card and went straight to our room. First of all, the door were near impossible to open. It actually took strength to break it open due to the automatic closing mechanism. Inside the room, it was nothing like the photos on booking.com or their web site. The roof were moldy and the wall paper were sticky and soft. And it wouldn't make any difference if we slept on the floor or in the bed. We tried several times to contact the staff about several issues, but they did not seem to be in the mood to help us. I once asked if they could check out the internet connection, because it were not working, and I had to do some work. The answer I got, were: "it works in our phones." And when I asked if they could send someone up to check the router, they said that it was impossible for them to do so. The room service made the beds, but they did not change the sheets one time in our week long stay. We would not have noticed this if I hadn't spilled some wine, and my girlfriend had cut herself in her sleep. The only good thing about our stay, were the bakery in the corner. The food were delicious. I will not be returning to this hotel.
Unfortunately we cancelled our trip after booking it a few hours prior. I called them straight away as I did opt in for the free cancellation fee, and I did not want to just cancel without explaining myself. Unfortunately enough my experience I had with the staff were less than accommodating and more dismissive. At first a gentleman answered the phone and admitted he did not speak english well and that he will pass me onto his colleague that would be able to help me. That was fair enough, no complaints there as he did his best. I was then passed on to another, who spoke to me for a little bit but then told me there was nothing she can do but pass me onto another colleague. Finally, the most rude of them all caught the phone. She was speaking Spanish to her colleagues while I tried to explain to her what I needed help with. I heard laughter from another colleague whether it be about me or about something else it was plain rude. Then finally I was just sick of it and I asked for a manager or someone who was willing to help me. I was told that no manager or supervisor was on duty and that if I can hurry up with my query so they can serve people at the desk. From what I heard over the phone, there were several people at the front desk that were able to help whoever was checking in or so. I was only given an email address to revert back to. So i asked, "Miss, are you being dismissive of me?", she said "Yes. I have other customers to attend to." So I hung up. I was left baffled by the hotel's etiquette. I understand if your staff is having a bad day but completely dismissing someone like that is uncalled for. All I wanted was my booking cancelled and requesting if the cancellation fee can be waived as I only booked a few hours prior. Instead, I got very dismissive staff, a fee of more than a hundred euro, and a bad taste in my mouth and I haven't stepped foot there yet! I urge you to please monitor your staff, your hotel seems to be a highly rated one and it would be a shame if there were potential customers like me being dismissed and rudely talked to every day.
Located in St Lazare area. Walking Distance from ST. Lazare metro station. Many restaurants near by.Breakfast is not good. Reception staff is really helpful. 24*7 supermarket is near by.Small rooms but manageable. Overall a decent hotel but you can get a better hotel at a cheaper price in paris. Paris Metro is really good. All you need is to book a Hotel which is really near to any metro station.
Unfortunately reality of hotel was not that good as on the pictures. I really don't appreciate when they lie offering rooms on booking or other sites with pictures of rooms which are not matched to reality. Don't recommend
Hotel is really nice and clean. You can buy there a breakfast. It is good, but nothing special. I would recommend to buy a breakfast outside in some bakery. We enjoyed it much more and also if you plan to go to Louvre - buy on line ticket, than you don't have to wait few hours to get inside. People on reception are able to help you with this same like with everything.
Located in St Lazare area, this is a mediocre hotel in a mediocre area.. Its is a 3 star hotel but the staff wears no uniform so they look like relatives of the hotel owner. Gave us a very bad room at our first night and when complianed changed it with a normal room. Hotel area is 30-45 minutes far from touristic landmarks..tiring to walk. Construction going on next building to the hotel..very noisy early in the morning..trucks around... Turk ziyaretcilere not : Aksaray, Laleli gibi bölgede ve sıradan bir hotel..yaramaz... Parisi kısa süre icin ziyaret ediyorsanız Louvre'a yakın bölgede konaklamak en iyisi.
I recently stayed twice. Very close to Gare St Lazare. Quiet. Lovely staff on reception. Both my rooms fine. Clean and comfortable. Heating you can turn down. Double glazing and windows that open. Safe in room. Tv and free wifi. Two lifts. Breakfast staff need a kick up the backside as they let things run out. Be prepared to collar them and say "Il n'a pas .... du jus d'orange/ du beurre/ des croissants". Then they bring them out in small amounts. A small niggle though and I would go back. Ten mins walk to the Roissybus stop to CdG at L'Opera, which is easier than getting a heavy case up and down stairs in the metro.
Me and my partner stayed in the Exe from 13th Feb to 15th Feb - it's roughly a 30/45 min car journey from Charles De Gaulle airport - I found that using a Uber as aposed to a local taxi worked out much cheaper and easier - I'm always sceptical of using a local taxi that can charge anything they want We arrived at our hotel at 8:30pm and the reception area is nicely decorated and check in was prompt - we were shown to room 002 - just as in the pictures, a small'ish room but more than enough for the both of us - total cost for 2 nights excluding breakfast was €208, this included the room tax Day 1 we had a walk to the Eiffel Tower - roughly 1 hours walk from the hotel but I'm really glad we walked as you get to see some great sights as you walk through the street, we even stopped off at a bakery on the way - prices at the tower were €17 pp for the top of the tower via the lift and also a lot of police presence and bag checks but tbh I didn't mind to this !! Once we had finished at the tower we took a hour boat trip along the river seine, we chose a nicer looking boat and this was €15 - really nice cruise and you get to see a lot of the sights For our evening meal we toured around the hotel looking for something authentic but ended up taking lodgings in a local Brasserie - €15/20 per main which wasn't too bad Day 2 - we took another short walk to the Notre Dame cathedral - this was Free entry and was amazing and a must see - it wasn't overly busy and again more security checks We then walked 20 minutes to the Louvre - again a really nice place and the I felt the surrounding buildings were much nicer than the Louvre itself - please be careful of the street sellers, they can be very pushy all selling local tat - I was approached by one selling cotton wrist bands and as persistent as I was I just couldn't shake him off Overall my stay in Paris was amazing - and I would recommend it 100%
I stayed here when the last train to Normandy from the Gare St Lazare was cancelled. The proximity to the station (especially the platforms for Normandy) is extraordinary - 2 minutes and you are on the platform. I was given a quiet and comfortable room -- perhaps because it was very late when I came it was an 'accessible' room, being kept in case someone in a wheelchair needed it. As such, it was probably larger than the average ones. For about £80 this was a good deal.
