The staff at Hotel August in were very friendly. When we arrived at 10:20, they encouraged us to get some breakfast although breakfast closed at 10:30. Whenever we needed something, like a toothbrush, it was never a bother. The rooms were small but clean and had a nice balcony. In addition, it was our honeymoon and the staff placed a nice card and some swan shaped towels on the bed to congratulate us. The location was in a convenient location. Close to subways stations, restaurants, and supermarkets. Would definitely recommend.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and well serviced and we enjoyed both the complimentary mini bar and the breakfast! The location is great, just walks away from so many sites and perfect if you feel like just walking the streets of Paris nearby. A number of metros are close by making it very to wander further afield. For those who are noise sensitive, it can get rather noisy in the evenings, though keep in mind, you are in the middle of Paris! I didn't mind it at all, though I know my mother had some difficulty with it. Overall, great place, particularly on a budget - I would happily return.
Friendly and helpful staff, nice central location. Really enjoyed our stay. Room was always serviced well. Only gripe is that the air conditioning wasn't working, a bit uncomfortable for days when the temperature was almost touching 30 Degrees celcius. Otherwise, no complaints and would stay again
We stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon in Paris. The staffs were very polite and helpful. They paid great attention to details to ensure our pleasant stay. The room is very clean and bright. It also comes with a complimentary drink bar in a mini fridge. The breakfast is good and value for money. Location of the hotel is great and closeby to numerous attractions and accessible by trains and buses. Overall I would recommend this to everyone who is going to Paris!
Great staff. Great amenities. Small bathroom but that is common for Europe. Modern rooms. Good location to metro and city centre. Free mini bar wss awesome and so too were the small snacks each afternoon. Great value Would stay again.
we stayed here in April 2018 for week. First of all location is really great you are in Champ Elysee within 10 -15 dk walk and it is only 200 m from St Augustin train statio and from there it is possible to reach everywhere. The staff at the reception are very helpful and they are trying to make your holiday nice. Breakfast was overall ok not too many sleection but it is enough . At the rush hour service can be an issue although staff are trying to make their best. Room little bit small but I think this normal Paris standard. I used the shuttle service which was mentioned on the reception desk but I did not like because of took so long to collect every passenger and also because of very rude and angry driver. I would definetely choose again this hotel If I come to Paris again
Found this lovely little place on Tripadvisor and I'm glad I chose it. I had only 24 hours to check out Paris on the way home from a business trip so stayed only 1 night. The hotel is conveniently located in the 8th arrondissment, so I literally walked to see most of the major sites.... I love walking so it may be too far for others. No problem since its close to major bus stops and metro stations, so hopping onto transit is a breeze. The room was well appointed with lots of lighting, plenty of towels, comfortable bed, kettle, hairdryer, safe and a mini fridge with free water and soda. There's even a kitchenette off the lobby that offers free snacks and coffee most of the afternoon and evening. I left too early for breakfast so I can't weigh in on that. I would recommend this hotel for any single travellers for sure! The only downsize of my stay is they has an issue with my credit card for my online booking so it took a few emails and uncertainty to sort that out (unsure why as I had no other issues with that card anywhere else), and the place is so small my tour driver I hired for a night tour couldn't find the place at first.
This hotel is just a little off the beaten path, but if you can walk 2 1/2 blocks to Metro or 5 blocks to Hop On/ Hop off bus, I highly recommend it. Our room was a good size for Paris and everything was very nice. We never heard a noise from another room and we were on the 1st floor. The breakfast is wonderful and varies day to day. We stayed 6 nights and didn’t get tired of it. The afternoon and evening snacks are a nice touch, and the water & soft drinks in the room went with us everyday on our trips.
We got a free upgrade to a superior room upon arrival as I noted that this was my mum's birthday trip and first time in Paris. This kindness was so very much appreciated and made us very happy. Thank you! The hotel was clean, well equipped while the superior room is spacious and the location is excellent. I especially like the design and little drawings on the wall. The mattress was a tad too hard for my taste but I think my back appreciated the change.
This is probably my favourite hotel in Paris. Not the cheapest but great quality/price ratio. Staff is friendly and helpful and the area is safe. About 15 minutes walk to galleries Lafayette and close to a Metro station. Rooms are beautiful although some are showing needs of some upkeep and repair. But despite this, rooms are clean and well maintained.
