The rue Mazarine where the apartment is located is so attractive, with lots of art galleries, restaurants and cafes. Buci street is at 50 meters. The apartment set back from the street, so no noise whatsoever inside. Walking distance to everything.

Apartment was well located, right in center of St Germain des Pres. Easy access to all major must sees. The only negative was the three flights of stairs up to the apartment. Not recommended for the elderly.

Apartment was perfect. Lively neighborhood loaded with restaurants and easy access to both RER and metro. 5-10 minute walk to both the Louvre and Notre Dame. Food markets nearby which, with the functional kitchen, allowed us to save a little by cooking for ourselves. Our host, Francoise, was responsive and check in was simple. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Great find!

The safe location of this clean and comfortable apartment was excellent; close to metro/RER, sites, bakeries, and grocery stores. Nice bathroom with great shower and a comfortable bed and sofa bed. We appreciated the early check-in and instructions left in a binder. Francoise even had a new A/C unit delivered on our first day there which was great timing given that the weather in Paris was hotter than usual. We would stay here again!

The little details set this stay above the rest

I would recommend this apartment without reservation. Through the years I have stayed at many rentals both with and without children and this was truly outstanding. Paris was 15 degrees hotter than usual when we were there and the first thing I discovered was that a tray of ice was already in the freezer. The instructions for everything, including the air conditioner, were clear and detailed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Every possible type of coffee preparation, including an American style drip coffee maker were available. The bathroom is really nice and was spotlessly clean. The location is very convenient and the apartment itself is very quiet despite the bustle of the street. The courtyard, contrary to at least one other review, was clean and not at all dirty. The foldout couch was easy to set up and to put away and seemed comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was very nice as well.

Very comfortable and updated one bedroom apartment in a great neighborhood. Within walking distance to Notre Dame and museums. Tons of dining options and a Carreford grocery within 5 minutes. You will come off the street into the courtyard and go up two flights of stairs to the apartment. Stairwell can be dark so be careful. The ramen noodles restaurant immediately next door is very popular but it wasn’t noisy. We used Uber quite a bit and never had an issue with pick up. We felt very safe in the apt and the neighborhood. Go book it and enjoy.

Beautiful Apartment in a Fabulous Location

My husband and I spent three nights in this lovely apartment. It was exactly as pictured, very clean, and there was a supply of coffee pods as well as other items if anyone was interested in preparing any meals. The size of the apartment was quite spacious, including the well-appointed bathroom. We really loved the large windows which allowed sunlight to pour into the rooms. The apartment building, no elevator, is located inside a courtyard, so it is very quiet. And, the location couldn’t have been more perfect! Saint Germain des Pres is a fabulous area chock full of a number of charming cafes and bistros. It is a short walk to Notre Dame, as well as the first arrondissement, central Paris. Two concerns that we had…we did not receive any arrival information until the night before our check in, and this, only after reaching out to the owner, who had been out of town. When we did receive the information, it was very detailed and we appreciated that. The other concern was that the breaker for the hot water heater had been inadvertently shut off, so we did not have any hot water until the morning of our second day. Roly, the property manager was very quick to help us with this and checked in on us the next day as well, ensuring all was in order. He even allowed us to store our luggage in the laundry room since we would be leaving Paris late in the afternoon on our departure day.Even with those two concerns, I would not hesitate to book this apartment.

Love Paris

This was our first time staying in the Saint Germain area and it won’t be the last. Our little apart was very cute and had all amenities, a great bathroom with a great shower and a comfortable bed. Just outside our door was everything we could ask for. Can’t wait to return.

Spring Break in Paris

The location of the apartment could not have been better. Walking distance to all major sights and close to all transit. Having a washer and dryer to ourselves was so helpful. Instructions were clear for the use of the appliances. We were able to cook some meals for ourselves though the equipment is minimal. There is a small organic grocer just out the door and larger grocers near by. Beds very comfortable. The apartment is showing signs of wear and very difficult to lock the laundry room door would be our only criticisms. Thank you for a home for our wonderful experience in Paris. My family had not been anywhere in Europe before.

A Marvellous Mazarine VRBO

This is indeed a cozy apartment, located in the middle of Tourist Paris, you can walk almost everywhere, if not, the Metro will get you there. This apartment is very well equipped - kitchen, washroom, bedroom, living room all. Comfy sofa bed. The kitchen is small but well done. the appartment was so in order that we didn't need to bother Mme Py at all. She has a very concise booklet that is quite informative. The immediate neighbour hood has many sidewalk cafes, good for eating yes, but for people watching also. & yes I would definitely stay here again!

The owner was super helpful and allowed us to safely store our luggage in the apartment since our flight had us there at 7am. The beds were not made when we came into the apartment that afternoon but otherwise, the place was quaint and in a perfect location. The manager and Rolly was very helpful if we ever needed any questions answered. There was some excellent suggestions from the owner with regard to eating and visiting. We enjoyed our stay in Paris!

Home away from home in Paris

This was our 4th stay in Françoise’s charming Latin Quarter apartment. As always, it was very clean and has everything we needed. Because the windows overlook a courtyard, it is very quiet at night with no street noise. The dishwasher and laundry were especially useful. Staying here always makes us feel like we belong in Paris. “On ne visite pas, on vit!” :)

An authentic small apartment. Outstanding location close to the Seine and all facilities. Old apartments do have their quirks, uneven floors, occasionally noisy neighbours and a tiny tv. However you'll forgive the quirks to be in such an attractive neighbourhood.

Comfortable apartment in great location

The apartment was perfect for us. Right in the heart of St Germain. Bed was super comfortable and shower was one of the best anywhere. Having a washer and dryer was a plus as our five nights in Paris were part of a longer trip so we could wash everything. BUT allow lots of time as a full wash takes 3.5 hours!

Great apartment in a great location!

Very satisfied with our stay! Location was excellent, walking distance to most of the main Paris attractions, and to the metro/rer for those that weren't. The courtyard (mentioned by many earlier reviewers) was clean, no issues there anymore. Loved having a washer and dryer (note, the private washer/dryer are outside the apartment, in a room a half floor down). The apartment itself was quiet. My 17 year old daughter slept on the sofa bed, and it was very comfortable. I thought the bed in the bedroom was a bit too firm, but that's subjective...and I got used to it by the end of our stay. Would absolutely recommend choosing this place for your vacation. Just a few tips I thought I'd pass along: To enter the door off the street, type in the code, then push the center of the door inward (with a little extra force). Thankfully a nice employee from the ramen restaurant next door saw us struggling and showed us how it worked. Also, in the stairwell, there are light switches, but we were hesitant to press them at first because they sort of looked like old American doorbells, and we didn't want to disturb anyone if we were wrong! But rest assured, they are light switches, so press away!

Wonderful apartment in great location

Had a wonderful stay and hope to return again soon. Walked everywhere except the Eiffel Tower which was still easy to reach with nearby subway. Tons of restaurants and close to the Seine. Heads up it's 3 floors of stairs in the dark (never found a light on the first floor but there is one on the last floor you can turn on before going down) Laundry was very convenient. Just budget a few hours to both wash and dry. Was very convenient with kids to run downstairs for breakfast supplies each morning from nearby market and bakeries. Really enjoyed our stay!!

An excellently located apartment in a vibrant section of Paris. The only reason we did not give it five stars is because of the third-floor walkup (second floor a la Europeen) with no elevator. Francoise was attentive and followed up when needed.

The apartment itself was great, modern, everything you need, comfortable. The location is super, but the inner courtyard is not pleasant; trash cans from Ramen restaurant, messed up rugs over concrete, sometimes a lot of chatter - not a room with a view. Stairs in need of modernization, lighting too. Too bad the lovely apartment has such an unpleasant entry.

The location of this apartment cannot be beat. It’s in a vibrant neighborhood with endless food options and incredibly easy to get to all the top sites either walking, by bus or the metro. The apartment was clean and cozy. Communication with the owner was great and the check-in and out process very smooth. Some days it was loud in the mornings with people getting ready for the day but it will likely be the same everywhere in this kind of building. Definitely the perfect location. And an amazing bakery around the corner.
