Located on a busy road, although personally we were not bothered by traffic noise. I noticed that there were some ear plugs available if required. The room overall was okay for a short stay and is ideal for those travelling by Eurostar. We had tea/ coffee facilities in our room whereas our companions in another room had bottled water instead. Safe and TV. Small balcony. We did not have the breakfast. Luggage room available if required, which is very handy if you wish to do some sightseeing after the check-out time. Friendly staff.

The room was very very small for the price I paid. The tap in the kitchenette was broken. The room had no heating on and took till the next morning to get the room mildly warm. It was minus 1 outside.. Ive never felt so cold.the toaster in the breakfast room didn't work after 5 times of putting it through it was just warm. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

5 mins walk from Gare du nord. Near many good eating places, comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Basic breakfast, but plenty of choice. Nothing hot.only tinned fruit. For such a reasonable price, great value for money.

I was visiting Paris overnight and needed somewhere in a good accessible location (near Gare du Nord for me) so in that respect the hotel was good as it’s a short walk from the train station. However, there are no hot drink facilities in the rooms and there are no English channels on the tv (I can live with both of them but I do expect them). The hairdryer cap kept falling off so I had to hold it on while attempting to dry my hair. The walls are extremely thin and could hear others arguing, crying etc. My room was quite cold and I couldn’t control the temperature. On departure I opted to use the transfer service to Charles de Gaulle - this is advertised as €18, when I go to pay for it the receptionist tells me it will actually be €26 - again not the end of the world but 1) false advertising and 2) I may have taken the train which is €10,20 instead. I’m still not sure if this price is correct as I felt very uncomfortable handing the money over. I called down in the morning to use the ironing facilities to which I got a “Oh come downstairs and talk to me I’m busy” I said “excuse me?” She replied “come downstairs I’m busy sorry bye”. It’s the most terrible customer service I have ever received. Overall an average 3 Star hotel but there are so many better hotels with much more included in the price - it’s cheap but I won’t be returning.

My husband and I along with our 16 month old son checked in yesterday. To begin with, we had to wait for an hour to check in as the room wasn't ready. When we did get the room, it was fine. The room was small yet tidy and the heating made the room very warm which was good as it was snowing outside. The next morning I put up the sign for the room to be cleaned. The sign had been up since 8 am yet till 4 pm it wasn't cleaned. I went to the reception to inquire to which I was told they are sorry and the cleaner is not available. I explained that it wouldn't have been a problem if it was just me and my husband but since I have a baby I at least need the bins changed as they are overflowing with dirty diapers. The girl said that she will check and let me know if the other cleaner which is available can clean. Hours went by and no answer was given. I called reception again and asked to which she said 'The cleaner is very busy. Cannot clean your room' I explained again that I don't need the whole room serviced, just please can the bins be changed. To this I was told 'I cannot help you. The cleaner has a lot of work' Anyway, my son had fallen off the bed so I had requested for a baby cot which the hotel clearly advertises of providing. I called and explained that my son fell off so can I please have a cot in the room. I was given a one word answer of 'No' I said, 'Is it not available?' She said 'I don't know' I asked again, 'Can you please check if I can have a cot' Her exact response was 'Come here and talk, I have a lot of work' and then she banged the phone on my face. With my son on my lap I still held on to my patience and went to reception and asked if I could have a cot and I'm here like you asked. She said 'Madam, I have a lot of work' and continued typing on her computer. This got me furious! I told her in a very stern manner that I am not here for free and my son has fallen off the bed, if I'm asking for a cot, it IS your work to check if it's available. She then kissed her teeth and made a call and showed me a baby changing station. I said that's not it. She then continued to talk on the phone and then kept checking people in without another word to me. I kept waiting for another 20 mins with my son at the reception with no response. The name of the girl is Lucia Zurita. I am going to make an official complaint. This by far has been the worst hotel and service I have ever encountered. Lucia was extremely rude and inefficient. She was unkind and did not care what the customer was going through or needed as we had already paid in full at check in. Will not recommend this hotel even to my worst enemy. Not worthy of being called 3 star! Absolutely disgusting.

Travelling in to Paris via Eurostar to Gare du Nord and travelling out via train from Gare to Nord to CDG airport, this hotel was in the perfect location, just 4 minutes walk from Gare du Nord station. The hotel was very clean, warm and the staff extremely friendly and helpful, speaking excellent English. The buffet breakfast was good with choice of cereals, hot drinks, juice, fruit, ham, cheese, pastries, toast, jam and yogurts. The hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing; it is within 15 minutes walking distance of Montmartre and Sacre Coeur; 4 minutes walk to the hop on hop off bus stops outside Gare du Nord. The hotel is located on the Boulevard de Magenta, a wide tree lined avenue. Although this was busy, the double glazing was very effective and we had no problems with noise. Our rooms were on the small size but the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms had a bath and shower and one room had a small balcony. Around the area were numerous restaurants of all types. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel especially to those on a sightseeing trip.

This hotel is very close to the train station gare du nord. It is very convenient for anyone arriving on Eurostar. The rooms are pleasant and the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Clement. Breakfast is surprisingly good;cereal juice, coffee, yogurts, selection of breads etc. Staff tell me best rates are on the hotel web site.

Nice place with a great location close to Gare de Nord and several Indian restaurants , It also has a decent buffet breakfast but the only downside is small sized rooms and no fridge or tea/coffee make in the room

This hotel Avalon is definitely a good choice in Paris. It's close to the Eiffel Tower, it isn't too expensive and its rooms are cozy. I had a good time there with my girlfriend and I recommend it to you.

Me and my friend stayed here at the beginning of September 2017, lovely staff and the room was perfect with a balcony to sit on at night with a nice glass of.wine. Located minutes away from the Gare Du Nord with restaurants located a short walk from the hotel in every direction. Brilliant location to get into central Paris as there was a bus stop outside the hotel straight to eiffel tower. Definitely will be returning.
