I recently visited this hotel for four nights with my teenage daughters. We had a first floor room which was spacious, modern and clean. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and an abundance of food. The best part, however, was the friendliness of the hotel staff. They did everything to ensure our trip was enjoyable, and I can't thank them enough. The hotel is outside of Voltaire metro station so very easy to access all of Paris. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby and a Monoprix supermarket within 2 mins walk.
This is a very nice hotel compared to other ones with similar budget. The room was small but very nice decorated, simple but pretty and clean which is difficult to find in Paris (usually old furnitures, rooms or decoration if you look hotels with similar rates) it's perfect for solo travel or couples not sure if they have bigger rooms for families. We stayed 6 nights and were very pleased with the location (not very near the principal attractions) but the Voltaire metro station was just across the street and it took around 25 minutes to get to trocadero or the Seine river. There are many restaurants around the area and specially a little place just in front where they sell really good paninis and pizza for a lower price than regular restaurants and until 1 am. The breakfast is served until 10 am so you need to be early there to find a table but that's the regular schedule at Paris. I personally didn't like much the scrambled eggs maybe that's the way Parisian eats it not sure but at least they served a little variety like eggs, ham and sausages ( another hotels don't) The staff was very nice and helpful and we were very pleased with them. If you are looking for a good rate and planning to move around by Metro this is a very good option.
Stayed here for 5 nights on our visit to Paris. Wanted a Queen or King (USA sizing) and got it. Room was nice, including free drinks for our stay. Best thing was the front desk staff. They were very helpful and accommodating, and we certainly test them . . . Next best thing was the location. Metro 20 feet from door and supermarket 5 minute walk as well as numerous markets and restaurant. McDs 20 yards away (we never ate there). Breakfast was only place where we felt improvement could be made. Very small kitchen for large buffet spread. Eggs went from watery at open to dried out at end of morning. Bacon (not american style) was under-cooked or missing many mornings. Rest of extensive buffet was of good quality, so if bacon & eggs is not your thing (it is mine ! !) you will likely be happy with the offerings. Staff was delightful and I think they did best they could with the very small and limited kitchen facilities (no other meals are offered).
We stayed for 3 nights and although the front office staff were pleasant there were some short comings. The room and bathroom were small and there was a lot of noise coming from the inside garden. There was no bacon and sausages left one day and the waitress refused to replace them although we were early for breakfast. (Every morning there was something missing, coffee , water or other products and it was taking ages for them to be replaced ) It was a convenient location with Voltaire metro stop next door. Overall it seemed a limited service hotel and probably we won't return as there are other Mercure hotels with more amenities to offer.
We enjoyed very much this hotel, price was very reasonable for Paris. Breakfast room is small but the breakfast (not included) was pretty good. Looks like a freshly renovated hotel...:-) Nice and clean room with a huge bathroom. Location was perfect, lots of restaurants and attractions around. Very nice and helpful staff! Would go back anytime.
For a parisian hotel with this rate it was nice. Since you probably have to walk a lot anyway during your stay in Paris, this hotel is conveniently located next to metro station so you can easily go anywhere. I travelled with my mother as I bought this trip for her birthday. We both enjoyed the comfy beds, good location (metro) and the complimentary coffee equipment in our room. There was also a small fridge in our room where we could store groceries we bought from a nearby store (across the street). There's also pharmacy and some coffee shops nearby, if you prefer a fresh croissant and a cup of café au lait in the morning. If you can't afford a 3000 € room with a balcony and a view of the Eiffel - book this one!
Stayed her for 2 nights in a premium room on the 8th floor. We had a great view of the Eiffel Tower out of one balcony and the Sacre Coeur out of the other balcony. The view was amazing in the evening with the Eithel Tower light up. The room and bathroom size was adequate and the bed was really comfy, free robes, slippers, toiletries and soft drinks in the mini bar. The hotel is next to Voltairre metro and has lots of bars and cafes close by especially down Rue de la roquette. It was easy to walk to Place de Bastille, Notre Dame and the Louvre from here. The staff were very helpful and they printed off my flight tickets for me and booked a taxi to the airport for me. We didn't have breakfast here as many cafes locally, also no bar in the hotel but again plenty of bars within 5 minutes walk
We had a privilege room located on the top floor. Small bathroom, but free minibar with soft drinks . view over the roofs of Paris ans Eiffel tower. Good breakfast. Voltaire subway station at the door. Make sure if you come there to ask For rue and not Boulevard Richard Lenoir. We left at 5am. Asked for free drinks (instead of breakfast already paid and not taken, ) at the reception , i was told not possible!
The hotel sit next to metro station, only takes 1 min to get there! There are lots of cafes , restaurants and fast food shops nearby so very suitable for person like me ! But the room is really really small and not very well equipped, they just provide paper and plastic cups for me, only one small table and a chair !
Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary and had a great time. The hotel is close close to the metro so you can travel around paris with ease. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when fetting advise on where to go and what to visit. The room was small but normal size for Paris, it was very modern and well kept. We stayed in a suite on the top floor and the views were excellent. My only gripe was the tv had no english language stations, but wasnt a deal breaker at all.
