I stayed here for 9 nights for a business trip. Overall good stay and was very close to my office in La Defense. liked their breakfast option which was small but sufficient. Expected the Paris croissants to be better :-). One thing I did not like the once in 7 days housekeeping option. Though I understand it was an apartment hotel but atleast house keeping every 3 days would have made the stay more comfortable. Also though the room was ready but early check in was not allowed [I understand its common in Paris] but there was no space even for changing my dress to go directly to my office. I had to manage that inside a tiny toilet. Can do these things better.
I recently had to go to La Défense on a short notice and only found this hotel with availabilities at a “reasonable” price (if you consider 200 € per night excl breakfast reasonable). To be fair I wasn’t expecting much but I got surprised. 1. The hotel being really composed of several buildings, you reach your room going through a maze of doors and corridors 2. The state of the room is rather disappointing, old furniture, lack of maintenance and general care is evident throughout, bathroom is cramped, carpet is... can’t tell, just bring your sleepers 3. If finally you want to free your mind and reach your family using WiFi. You’ll have another disappointment, it’s so slow that you’ll give out... leaving alone in a place you really don’t want to be in Can’t stop about all the reasons to look elsewhere.
The hotel is well located but the furniture and the finishing of the room is at a low level for the price you are paying. The beds are fine but all the rest is not aligned with them. You can judge yourself from the pictures I have taken
The day before arriving I received a telephone call to tell me that the hotel had overbooked and I would be in a superior hotel, Adagio La Défense Le Parc. When I arrived I found the room cold so I turned the heating to maximum. After one hour I call the reception to be told that the heating did not work and I had activated the air-conditioning! Well, I could have been informed about the problem on arrival. My TV did not work well. Kept cutting off.
The room was clean but somewhat care worn. The disappointment was the kitchenette facilities: a cubbie hole with a sink and twin ceramic hob plates crammed side by side. A coffee maker that had to sit on the integral draining board for lack of space. Neither hob plates functioned - they warmed up to a comfortable hand temperature! No cork screw and not enough cutlery for 4 persons - lucky that we were only 2. There was a microwave with grill facility but never used that. The fridge offered adequate storage and worked well. Washing up liquid and tea was provided. However, the room description said that there would be kitchen essentials sure as salt and pepper - there wasn't. I had never stayed in the La Defense area before, this was a late booking and I took what was available. I will never stay in the area again - not too far out using the RER but little in the way of restaurants and eateries or anything else (I am talking about the local area and not the esplanade). I given it an average for value as it was inexpensive for Paris but I would not recommend either La Defense or this particular Adagio. This does not put me off Adagio as there are better quality aparthotels through out Paris.
It's a ~60EUR priced hotel in Paris! So don't expect a croissant served mid-night by Marion Cotillard while looking at flashing Eiffel Tower! The main advantage of the hotel is its location! Few footsteps away from MonoPrix (which is open on Sunday mornings too) and a couple more from La Defense (with Auchan and 4 Temps) and the tramway - it is very practical to reach any part of the city within minutes. The room I stayed (for 3 months) in was small but with all amenities. There was a persistent smell across the hallways due to some guests constantly frying onions, but it went away when the guests were gone. Hotel staff is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel serves a good breakfast with an absolutely incredible woman serving it (she will make your day every day!). There's a swimming pool cleaned every day (never used it though).
The fan and the fridge were so noisy that I hardly slept. I had to unplug the fridge. In addition, there were no pans to fry anything. Otherwise, wifi speeds are decent enough. For the price, it was overall okay.
I won't stay in another Adagio Access in Paris again. This was the second time and the experience was the same: you pay 150€ for a tiny, old fashioned, furniture-broken, ugly room. Trying to be positive: it is true that all Paris hotels are crazy expensive compared to what you get... It is also true that the hotel is at 5 min walk from La Defense... Finally "some" personel was friendly and efficient... Check other alternatives first!
When I arrived to the hotel, I got the answer, that I can´t be accommodated, becaase the hotel is full. I was very dissapointed, because I choose this hotel for closure possition to konference, where I was participanting. After long disscution the hotel confirmed, that I they will cover all traveling costs (it was rainy, and hotel, where I was relocated is 30 minutes from this one). But I was surprised, that nobody knows about this issue at spare hotel, where I really stay. So I have to manage second issue with traveling cost. I hope, that everything is OK, and hotel made deal together about covering of my traveling costs to conference, and back.
As other reviews have said the hotel is located very close to Paris La Defence and all that offers The hotel itself however is very basic, however it's very difficult to find good value hotels in Paris, the location of this one allows you travel on the metro and sight see at will If your just look for a clean bed and nothing else this is OK, however if your looking for a special experience this is not for you Best point is the location, otherwise dull, bland and lifeless hotel
