Stayed 3 nights in this Hotel. We are platin card holders to the Accor Group hotels, which means we visit alot of their hotels during the year. However, this is our first stay at the Pullman La defense. Normally we stay at the Sofitel Defense, but this time we wanted to try something else. We had 2 rooms. One suite 1011 for us and the toddler, and room 1010 for the teenagers. The parking space is in the basement, and it is quiet narrow, when you drive the large Mercedes GLS. We were not presented for any valet parking ( which Sofitel has when you arrive ). The spaces are ok size, even for a large car. If you drive a large car, you will get in trouble when you want to drive out . So, the barcode scanner is only active, when a car is in front of the machine. You scan the ticket, the gate opens. But the space is narrow, so you have to revers and go forward 1 or 2 times. In this tme the gate goes down again. So, you can not scan your ticket again. first, because the scanner is not active withput a car, and if you move the car, you will end up in the same position again. Second, because you gave already used it. You can call the reception, and they open the gate......but, befor you get back in your veichle , the gate will close one more time. we ran back and forwards 2or 3 times, before we managed to get out befor the gate closes. So what to do is, scan you ticket, the gate opens. Never mind. Drive your car so it is placed just infront of the gate, ask you passanger to call the reception and when the gate opens, you drive out and the passenger jumps in the car when you have passed the gates. We saw other cars, having the same problem ;-) So the hotel. In all accor group hotels, you will find a priority line for member card holders. It is just a shame, that almost every hotel dosen´t use the priority lanes, and you will have to queue up like the rest. WHY have a priority lane, when there is no priority at all. You will find a very long entrance in the suite. Which is a waste of space, but due to the building construction, it is necessary . The suite is nice and clean. However, you will find flaws, that are not acceptable in a 5 star hotel. The bathtub plug is leaky, so you cannot fill up the tub. The bathroom door can not close. The door frame is broke. The holder for the shower in the bath tub is broken, and is sitting loose. There is a relatively large corner of the wall missing in the room. Besides these flaws, the room is nice, with a nice view over the la defense square. The housekeeping lady is very friendly and and pays good attention. And then privacy...... arriving the first day we had a long nap after a long travel. Our toodler needed a nap, and we fell asleep as well. When we woke up the welcome present was placed on the desk.....6 lovely macaroons and some nice juice......! ok, so a staff member is going to deliver the present....because of the long entrance, he/she can not view the room before he/she is in the room......When he/she finds out someone is present in the room, normally they step back out....Nope, not his person ;-) A little scary when sleeping and wake up to find out someone has been in your room.....! And YES normally we put out the " please come back later " sign, but the sleep over managed us before we got to the sign ;-) So overall, I like this hotel. It is very close to the shopping center " Le Quattre Temps", and the Metro. The staff at reception are very nice, the housekeeping lady is very nice. The parking spaces are tricky, but when you know the trick, it is ok. We did not use any of the restaurant services. We visited the bar for our complimentary cocktail, and everything was nice. We will return....I am not sure if I will see this hotel as a 5 start hotel .....more likely a 4 star hotel....compared to other 5 start hotels near by. But the walking distance to Le quattre temps/metro and the bed ( I love the beds on both Sofitel and Pullman) is a big plus.
Visiting Paris for a romantic weekend with the Mrs and chose this hotel after reading a bunch of reviews. It was an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were amazingly helpful especially Julien the concierge who met us when we arrived and was there to give us advice on places to steer clear of due to the riots and must see alternatives. The food was also top class and both reception and restaurant staff were very courteous. The rooms were also immaculate. Will definitely be back in the near future. Keep it up guys. RECOMMENDED!
Stayed here on business for three nights and apart from the fact it was 1 minute from my office building by foot the hotel was very enjoyable. The bed was avery large and comfy, shower was the rainfall type with separate shower head. Breakfast was quite nice, the warm bread was lovely. Had a burger via room service the first night and it was tasty.
I've stayed recently at Pullman La Defense for a weekend with my girlfriend. It was the first time visiting this beautiful city. The team went above and behind to make sure we had a memorable stay and to make sure we felt like at home from the very first moment we entered the hotel, until we left. Thanks particularly to Louise for the tips about the city and the lovely amenities in the room.
Received a warm welcome and checked in immediately despite my early arrival. Great location next to CNIT and the RER line. Quiet area with parks close by. Breakfast is impressive as is the service. Rachida was especially friendly and prompt!
We stayed at the Pullman-La Defense for 6 nights and mostly rainy days. The location is convenient to the Metro and RER trains, but several stops from Paris sights. A few comments: Accommodations were very comfortable – a supposedly upgraded room but certainly not palacial - we especially appreciated the Nespresso machine in the room for quick pick-me-ups. Breakfasts there were fabulous, but high priced and the price changed depending on day of the week/weekend. Louise, the Concierge was a joy. She went above and beyond, hunted up a whole list of concerts at our request, and also directed us to a good shopping street a few Metro stops away for cheese, chocolate and charcuterie. Her smile and efforts were definitely a highlight of our stay.
Keep up the good work Bathilde at the Front Desk and Koray at the restaurant. Both customer oriented. Bathilde followed up on my lost luggage and was solution oriented. Hotel overall was very comfortable.
Had a delicious breakfast. Good variety of healthy food, friendly service and a great host named Clarisse... Especially I enjoyed the possibility of preparing my own fresh juices! Sometimes a little too crowded but still ok.
We stayed in the hotel for about a week in March 2019. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious. The one shower needed to have a better method of keeping the water from escaping (as evidenced by the watermarks on the flooring) since it required multiple towels to dry up the floor afterwards. It was a slight inconvenience but not something that would prevent me from staying here. The breakfast was delicious and worth getting up for every morning! Clarisse was exceptional as the hostess who greeted us and always seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing and what our plans were for the day. She even remembered where our kids liked to sit in the restaurant! Chef David was happy to make fresh crepes or eggs for you on request. The selection was outstanding - breakfast pastries, breads, fruits, yogurt, juices, and hot dishes/breakfast meats. There was plenty and the staff made sure you knew when they would be closing up so you could get any last items. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the trains and our youngest loved the revolving door (and the doorman was very patient with her numerous trips around!).
I am a professional photographer and I did a shoot at la Défense today with the collaboration of the Pullman team! Bathilde was very welcoming and accommodated our stay all day with the help of her amazing team, Romain, Gregory and Louise! I am very grateful for their kind attitude and cooperation!
