I ultimately did not stay at this accommodation so cant say anything about the general state. But is do strongly recomlend not to make a booking with this owner.
After the booking was made, the host attempted to charge various additional fees that were already included in the original booking price. First, she tried to add a cleaning fee. When VRBO informed her that this was already included, she claimed the charge was for linens instead, which were also included. Eventually, the host appeared to accept the original booking price, only to add another extra fee just a few days before arrival — this time for electricity and air conditioning, which were also part of the original price.
The host insisted that these extra charges were normal, even after being told by VRBO that this was a violation of the terms and conditions. She also made threats, stating that if I reported the issue, I would not get my money back. She said I had to pay the extra charges if I wanted to keep the booking, and that if I didn’t, she would deny us access to the property.
I have since received a refund through VRBO, as this was clearly a breach of their terms.
