Had a wonderful week at this hotel. The food and drinks are very good especially at the Bacco restaurant!! During our stay it was my birthday and I was greeted a breakfast with well wishes from the staff, flowers in my room and a rose petal studded table in the evening at the Bacco restaurant. We also had the afternoon tea which I can highly recommend. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone wanting a bit of luxury.

My husband and I have recently returned from a fabulous holiday at The Elysium. The attention to detail was amazing, and everyone was so friendly and kind. The staff really couldn'do enough for you.Inside, the building is a joy,and so comfortable. There are many places in which to relax, and the grounds are beautiful. This is a truly special place, and we can't wait to go back.

Top hotel. Unfortunately you are not going to please everyone with theme nights. Tonight was one of them. Not into spicey food so not surprised that there wasn’t any thing I liked....apart from 4 bread rolls. No real alternative on display and walked into Pathos to find somewhere to eat. Just one of those things. I might skip the Greek night though and venture into town.

Went here for the Christmas buffet lunch on Christmas Day and had an amazing time. Food was outstanding and so were the staff. Buffet got a little bit busy at times so you did have to queue for your food on occasions but worth it to be able to enjoy all the wonderful options on offer.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world -this hotel was well worth its 5 stars. Service was wonderful, food was tasty with large variety and hotel rooms offered everything needed. Hotel is extremely well maintained. I had a Spa massage that was also great. My only comments, though minor, would be: they need to have some English movie channels -travelers are international and this is a 5 star hotel. Offer, at the very least, a bottle of water at dinner - even if you have to increase room rate a few euros -no one will notice -they will notice that you have to pay for a bottle of water at dinner. Service in afternoon in Cafe/Bar was very slow -would concern me what happens in the high season summer months -hopefully they have more staff at those times.

Having travelled widely and stopped in many hotels I can say in all honesty that the Elysium Hotel, I have now stopped at one of the finest Hotels. The grounds are outstanding and the pool area is well maintained. First impressions are important and I assure you that the Staff at the Elysium make sure that you receive a warm welcome before you even put one foot in the door. All the staff are professional and friendly. I would like t say one was better than the other but I can only praise all of the staff. The Restaurants are superb and the choice of food is first class, normally my Wife has problems with restaurant food but not on this holiday there was always a selection that she would eat. The Bars are relaxing and the life music is excellent. Would I recommend this Hotel, simple in a heart beat. The rooms are kept clean and are large enough so you do not fall over each other, there is a selection of English TV programs and tea and coffee making facilities are kept stock up on a regular basis. The spa facilities are excellent (my wife told me) the steam room and sauna are good as is the indoor pool (a must to visit) A big well done to all of the Staff who made our stay a very pleasant one, will we return yes one day.

We booked to stay overnight on New Year’s Eve and to attend the gala dinner dance with Greek singer Makedonas playing along his guitar with the support of a full blown Greek band, and singing until morning hours a full range of songs together with Maria who did the introductory part of the show. We were thoroughly impressed with the huge variety and immaculate dishes served at the buffet style food during the gala dinner. It really catered for all tastes and for many different cultures, but above all, the quality and finishing was out of this world… Next morning the breakfast buffet was thrilling, it catered again for all tastes!!! Top notch service from the waiters, the surroundings were very carefully and delicately decorated, front office and reception was at its ultimate best, the rooms inside were clean, tidy, I would easily say ranked not as a five star hotel but at multitude of stars if there could be such a ranking!!! Perhaps the best or at least in the top 2 hotels in Cyprus when comparing and rating all sectors and amenities offered… Highly recommended top quality, great value for money!

My wife and I have just returned from 11 nights at the Elysium. This covered both the Christmas and New Year period. Our room (4160) was splendid as was the maid service. The TV had plenty of English speaking channels with 53 providing good films albeit with foreign sub-titles. This was our 4th visit to the Elysium. The buffet food standard has never dropped and there is always something for everybody whatever their individual taste. We tried one other restaurant on our last night and were not disappointed. The Christmas Eve gala dinner was superb. However, New Years Eve with a great band and vocalist (played without a break) was absolutely fabulous. Incidentally unlike a previous poster we found the receptionists to be both friendly and helpful which was the case with all of the staff throughout the hotel. We had occasion to meet both General manager and the food and beverage manager. They were both very warn and friendly. This is a 5 star hotel some people may feel that the drinks are expensive but you get what you pay for, That is, spending time in very pleasant surroundings with drinks that are vastly superior in presentation and volume than you would get in the UK. Lovely, lovely and more lovely. We walked to the harbour every day and managed to get some sun even on the worst of days. We will be back!

The Elysium is one of the best experiences I have had at an hotel. My daughter and I spent four wonderfully relaxing days here as my birthday treat and we would definitely return in a heartbeat. The most outstanding features....difficult to decide. The food was absolutely amazing, so much variety, totally different food each evening from themed buffets including Tex-Mex, Asian and Cypriot. Every dish, salad, dessert was plentiful and totally fresh and far exceeded our vegetarian expectations! The Elysium chefs must have had training from the world's best schools of cuisine. I have eaten at many top London hotels in the capacity of Travel Executive and can honestly say that the food served at the Elysium is easily on par. The birthday cake left in my room was outstanding in both decoration and flavour! The rooms are spotlessly clean and sound proofing is very good. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the décor is very tasteful. The courtyards are scented with the most beautiful fragrances, the spa offers a wonderful heated pool and the gym is fully furnished. The bars are 5* elegance and the service was always with a smile. The outdoor pools are beautifully laid out, albeit unheated but wonderful to chill beside on the superbly padded beds. The beach is small and was covered in seaweed when we arrived but was totally cleared whilst we were there to reveal soft sand. A ladder at the end of a small pier enables people to avoid walking through the seaweed/sand and enter the sea directly which, in December, is still a tolerable temperature for a swim. Lastly a special mention must go to the staff who really do make this hotel a special place to visit. They are all very professional, courteous and welcoming. I really do hope to return again this year.

Spent 10 days of lovely sunshine in December back at the Elysium . The hotel has been tastefully refurbished since our last visit. Beautiful hotel and well worth a visit. It was good to see some of the regular staff special mention for Daniela who is excellent, all staff were very helpful and extremely attentive. The food was buffet style during our visit and outstanding with an excellent choice and quality available, they cater for any dietary needs you only have to a ask and they will do whatever they can to facilitate your needs. Our one and only disappointment was the very cold temperatures of the indoor pool and jacuzzi, we did bring it to the attention of a member of staff but regretfully it didn’t improve for the whole of our stay, it was far to cold to enjoy a swim and the jacuzzi was dirty around the edge and inside the water outlet. We will return to this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
