Just returned from the perfect family holiday in Paphos. This hotel catered to all our needs and beyond. A large and spacious hotel that is extremely well run and well staffed. Can’t say enough about how good the service was and how helpful all the staff were. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. It’s a beautiful setting that I could return to again and again. Restaurants were delightful and I highly recommend the OShin Japanese restaurant. The made special arrangements for a cake and balloons for my daughters birthday and she had a wonderful time. 10/10 to everyone!
We booked our holiday with Sovereign holidays, we were collected from the airport to the Elysium hotel. We arrived late about 21.45 we left our luggage in reception and went straight to dinner, after dinner the luggage was in the room, and what a room, they had been updated from the last time we were here. The same comfortable bed new lighting system (fantastic) British TV, new carpets throughout. The following morning after a good nights sleep it was breakfast time. A few familiar faces including the happiest chef you could ever meet. I had one of his special omelettes, we were seated by Marina another happy person, you should be happy with all your staff they are a credit to your company. The comfort of all areas are fantastic, even as I sit here waiting to go home. The entertainment in the bar is first class, and one night the even had my favourite football team on the large screen TV. The drinks are reasonably priced for a five star hotel, on my last night I had a monkey47 gin cocktail absolutely fantastic. We are looking forward to next year for another relaxing ten days
As we stayed in Elysium before we knew we would not be dissapointed. From the moment we booked to the last day we got first class service. As we decided to renew our wedding vows , the hotel wedding coordinator Elisabeth helped us to plan everything from wedding venue to spa . The day itself was magical , as we were blessed with a sunny hot day , at the end of December , the olive tree were we renewed our vows were decorated with white hearts and stars. Champagne, cake and everything was perfect. We could not have asked for more. When we got to our room in the evening after most delicious meal, we got the most wonderful surprise .....rose petals everywhere, on bed , tables even bathroom. I cried with happiness. During whole stay the staff were fabulous . I know we will be back.
We had a week here at the end of February and found parts of it were excellent while other areas had room for improvement. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were superb and really helpful. The gardens are lovely and right next door to a world heritage site while reception areas were beautifully set out. However, the sound proofing on our room left a lot to be desired, the buffet food left a lot to be desired and the a la carte restaurants were very expensive.
We stayed at the Elysium for a week over Easter and also celebrated our anniversary. The holiday was amazing. We had a sea view room which was dressed with roses and petals on arrival. On Easter Sunday we were given Chocolate and also a bottle of sparkling wine and pralines for our anniversary. We were going to go a la carte on our anniversary but when tried to book at reception, were informed it was closed on Sunday evenings. Imagine how disappointed we were especially when we went for our evening meal to find it open!! As the food at the buffet was so nice and varied, we weren't that worried, just annoyed at being given wrong information. The facilities in and around the hotel were great, certainly 5 star. The outdoor pool was a bit cool but you soon got used to it. The sea was also cool but the problem was the seaweed (lots of it) and getting into it: walking over stones/rocks or climbing down a ladder. The staff were all helpful and friendly regardless of how busy they were, nothing was too much trouble. The weather was great which always makes for a great holiday and kicks the suntan off for the year :) Even the courtesy room was the same standard as all the other rooms. We were sad to leave and will be back.
My wife and I first visited this outstanding hotel some 12 years ago and now we are back we cannot remember why we have left it so long. For trip advisor readers this really is a first class venue but there are one or two things that make it stand out from the rest. We are enjoying room 3166 which is one of the hotels recently renovated junior suites, it is a beautiful room and the attention to detail is second to none it is well worth the extra money. My biggest plus for this hotel is the quality of its staff , it really adds a massive plus when you are greeted by your name wether walking into breakfast or a drink at the bar or even walking out of reception to go elsewhere a huge pat on the back for all involved. Congratulations to the whole team here you are giving us a wonderful holiday, we will be back but so much sooner this time, thank you.
We've decided to visit our favourite hotel in Paphos again after it's renovation and we are glad that we did it. Positive: - great new interior of hotel - great design of the room (light coloured room with pleasant bright accents) with all you need amenities - the same great service all over the hotel (especially thank's to reception for their hard work and attention to guests) - better quality of food for dinner (in comparison with our last visit to the hotel) - comfortable and light new interior of dinner restaraunt - very good new sauna and steam room near indoor swimming pool (free for hotel's guests) - the same good breakfast with a lot of food to choose (every day the same choice but extensive one) - great garden around the hotel - a lot of great outdoor places to relax: near outdoor pool, on the grass, near the sea, at the beach Negative: - no cleaning service around indoor swimming pool (its a big problem because children leave a lot of water running around the pool) - no adult only hours to use indoor pool and saunas facilities (it would be a great option to have a few quiet hours only for adult guests)
My mother and I stayed in the hotel for one full week mid april. The stay here was nothing short of spectacular. The buffet is simply breathtaking - evening as well as morning. The staff is not only very helpful, but genuinly warm and amiable as well. And the hotel itself is just marvellous. There is every facility you need (and more), and the beautiful interior lets you bath in tranquility and luxury.
We stayed at the Elysium for a week over the Easter weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The service is excellent, food delicious in all of the restaurants and despite it being a luxury 5 star hotel you don’t feel like you are being overcharged for cocktails and drinks. The hotel is right on the beach with free sun-loungers and towels and is also great if you like to wander out with nearby shops and restaurants (try Duomo or Gustoso) and the essential sports bar! You can exchange half board dinner for lunch receiving a credit of 15 euros per person. The hotel has great spa facilities with an indoor pool for that odd day where the outdoor pool was a tad chilly to be swimming. Of course the weather was great as well which always makes for a good holiday. We would definitely recommend and we will be back.
A week’s holiday for my teenager daughter and myself. I cannot rate this hotel more highly. It was unbelievable. I can’t believe it actually exists. The staff make it. They were all outstanding. The hotel was nearly full but you felt like you were the one there. We were in the cheap seats and they still made us feel like their only guests. The hotel is designed for comfort, style, inclusion - wheelchairs and disabilities treated with respect and normality. The spa was outstanding. There really was nothing to fault it. Which member of staff was the best - well they were all 10/10. None of them were grumpy, rude or unhelpful. We particularly like Chrysta in the pool bar, Yannis who cooked the pasta and omelettes to order, Christina guest relations who came up with novel and exciting ideas for my teenage daughter, the housekeeping staff on Level 4, the helpful gentleman in the hotel jewellery shop, the student in the hotel shop. Nothing was too much trouble. Oh and my daughter thought the sun bed men were 5 star as they were so helpful and approachable. Loved it. But don’t tell everyone as we want to go back when we can.
