First time at the Riu. I liked it. The place is big and offers good restaurants. On Friday night it was very noisy as there was some party happening on the 4th floor and a concert in the lobby which I found strange.. I haven't seen that before. Breakfast has lots of options. The room was freezing.. too cold for my taste, even with the AC off. All in all good, I would go back.

Exccellent hotel---4.5 stars in my book!! The room was comfortable -pleasant. . The food was plentiful and of substantial variety. The waiters were very helpful as were the staff preparing /serving the eggs. Jose (breakfast) was very helpful. The house SUV's waiting to take you on an trip charged fees of $55.00. Take Uber or a taxi for $3.00 instead and you are much better off. Loud music coming on at certain times (if you were in the lobby) in the evening was at decibels so high that it could cause permanent hearing loss. Don't know why it was done???

Breakfast was excellent. Directions for phone usage for room to room was incorrect. Hotel directory does not advertise it serves buffet lunch or dinner. Iron was missing and had to make a request for one. Had to request towels for the third person in the room. Housekeeping staff was pleasant. Excellent service from the personnel who attend to the entrance doorways. They are very helpful by giving assistance when guests are exiting from a vehicle. Carpets need steam cleaning or new flooring installed. We found that the soles of our feet got dirty from walking on the carpet. Bathroom tiles are showing wear and tear as well as the sinks. Staff does not always answer the phones. A bit of refurbishing would do wonders for the hotel. Loved the location.

The hotel design and style is amazing. The art work is very unique. The pool setting is excellent with sunshine all day. Hotel is situated in area central to many attractions. I have stayed a few times before and will return again.

Riu hotel in Panama City. The service was terrible, had to call 4 times to get extra towels since they only gave us two (for 4 people), the mini fridge wasn't working and to top it off the next morning they only could serve one of us breakfast prompting us to the front desk where we talk to the most ruthless manager I've ever encountered in any hotel before she wasted our whole morning and she didn't allowed us to have breakfast there which was included when we booked the room, we decided to leave that same day (we booked for 2 nights). The hotel was nice looking but the staff and attention was the worst of any hotel out there and we have been to many.

The young lady that did my hotel reservation at the lobby refer to me as Gonzalez, like buddies, rules of business you need to refer to people by Mr, Miss, or whatever, she is providing a service, I don't want to be treated like a king, but with respect, especially when you don't know the person, then she told that my breakfast was not included, and I said, I remember that when I did I request that, but she started to challenging me like" prove me that you have that" I don't need to beg for a $20 breakfast, bad starting, we people provide business to hotel but sometimes front desk people have no manners or education at all

a stay to remember and wanting to stay longer or come back soon, service and comfort are hard to match anywhere else.

To rate with 5 points all the ítems above marked, says that really this Riu is my prefered place to stay in Panama!

Needed some trainng in buffet area staff can allow guess ttlo touch food that some one else eat

Excellent hotel, great ubication and good facilities

Good hotel, nice location close to financial district, awesome breakfast, we got room on 27 floor with amazing view of the city. the only thing I could complain about is that they did not allow an early check in, even when we had explained that we been travel all night.

In absolute terms, it is an OK place but in relative terms, comparing to five star hotels it is very, very poor. I have arrived at 9 PM and noted that the TV does not work. I tried to call to the reception, and to the service desk - no answer. I let the phone ring over ten minutes long. Next morning after at least ten minutes long ringing finally someone answered and I asked to fix the TV and asked that I would need an instruction for the safe. A young lady came who did not speak a word English, but by demonstrating the process - I got it. Then a man came to fix the TV, which had some box what he changed behind the TV and then it worked. However, with big bang the box fell off during the night. On the bathtub tiles are mold! Yes mold, and lots of it. The room had an awesome, I would say almost unparalleled view on the skyscrapers, - BUT the window was so dirty that I barely could see out. Factually, this is a three stars hotel with lots of things to improve. Not close to a four star and the person who rated this as a five star hotel has never seen such. So if you are looking for a five star hotel look elsewhere, if you looking for an OK hotel – this would do it.

Since our arrival everything was very good, wide rooms, excellent attention (front desk, restaurant, pool, pool bar), cozy and delicious breakfast, nice pool and a great location. The relationship cost/benefit was the best. We loved the place, recommended with close eyes !

I have stayed at a lot of hotels on both coast of the United States. The Rui Hotel is a five star hotel I have nothing but praise for the hotel. I'm planning to return to Panama in the very near future and I will be making reservations for a stay at the Rui Plaza Hotel. During my stay I visited the Panama Canal was amazed. Even with the rain I still enjoyed the trip.

The hotel met with my expectations and I really recommend it. I had visited the hotel for a number of times and have always been pleased and relaxed.

This was our first time in Panama. We were there for a cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the RIU Plaza Panama. It exceeded our expectations and we would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

My wife and I went to Panama to see if it was viable to consider as a retirement location. We were blown away with Panama City! The people were very friendly and multi cultural and t h e infrastructure was first class. Our hotel was very luxurious and impressive. The breakfast buffet was truly a feast and the pool area was very high end, clean and friendly and the rooms were clean, modern and had great Cityscape views. Would defiantly recommend!

it was a very good experience, but is a petty my kids couldn t use gym by their age.

In middle of financial district! Clean rooms, had all amenities and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again if went back!

the hotel was nice and centrally located. would have like to have more dining options
