Good: Location. Friendly and helpful staffs. Lodging price appears competitive. Poor: Overcharged breakfast price. Terrible: Old & rundown facilities. Room filled with mildew odor. Good & Terrible: Nightly very loud music from 6th floor's open bar until 1:30 am, it made sleeping difficult unless you are a hard rock music lover. The property manager probably should make this unique nightly music presentation feature be more aware of to the prospective customers.

Overpriced for what you get. The “small” rooms are just big enough to fit a bed and the accommodations and bathrooms felt run down. The bedding smelt like mold and the AC did not worked. They run a rooftop party every Friday and Saturday which you can hear from the room, which is fine if you plan on joining but would be hard to sleep through. The staff, coworking area and wifi was the great.

The Selina hostel in Panama City is not only beautiful, but located in an ideal spot conveniently close to stores, restaurants and historical sites. My stay was an absolute pleasure.

If you’re staying here Friday or Saturday, do not expect to sleep til 5am. Not only does the party go into the wee mornings, but you’ll constantly hear taxis honking at the traffic. Then you’ll start to hear it again at 6:30am everyday when people wake up for work. The room was dirty. The A/C constantly leaks and makes a puddle and this creates mold which you can smell. The saving grace was the walking tour by Jordi. Nice guy. The San Blas tour was a waste of time and money. Do it with another tour group. Selina’s has a terrible San Blas tour. They keep you waiting at every stop, you end up only getting to spend 4 hours for a 14 hour day. 6 hours driving and 3 hours of waiting around and the last hour is the time it takes for the boat to go to the island.

Excellent 1-stop-shop hub for newcomers to Panama

Excellent 1-stop-shop hub for newcomers to Panama I want to give extra props to all of the staff at Selina Casco Viejo for all their hard work in keeping a smooth operation going and being my introduction to Selina as well as Panama. As I stayed at the property and explored more functional areas of the Selina operation, I gained a stronger appreciation for just how much effort is being contributed by everyone in all of the different areas from reception and housekeeping to programming and restaurant services. I got to know some of the staff a bit throughout my time there. Thank you to the maintenance staff responding to issues, and thank you to the security staff for fostering a safe environment for us and our belongings. When I arrived to Panama for the first time, I was exhausted from an all-nighter and travel, and was wondering if it was a good idea to travel when I did. R*****o was the first person I spoke to after migracion and the ride to Casco and when he said "Welcome my friend!" I knew I was in the right place at the right time :) I want to give a special shout-out to R*****o and the rest of the reception staff for making my multiple check ins and check outs smooth with my evolving schedule, he brings the Selina spirit with him to every interaction. I will definitely be recommending Selina Casco Viejo to anyone who I ever speak to about Panama as a one-stop-shop for newcomers to Panama, and I will definitely be back.

Great trip to Panama!

Solo trip to Panama City and I had a wonderful time staying at the Selina. It is an older building, so if a little dirt turns you off, then this isn't the place for you. As other reviewers have mentioned it is quite loud with the music and partying going on. I brought a good set of ear plugs to use every night and slept just fine and was able to wake up everyday and start work at 8am. If you're looking for a place to provide options for activities/tours and has a great night life, this is the place for you!

Amazing property but super insanely loud from 10 PM until 3 AM it is absolutely horrible not just the nightclub upstairs by the pool deck but all of the cars honking and blasting music until all hours of the night.
