Return visit. Outstanding staff and accommodations.
Stayed in room 212 in the carriage house.Upon entrance, to the house, a musty odor was noted, which prevailed during our stay. Also, Drape covering door to outside patio was torn at the top and had either blood stains or chocolate stains in one area of the drape. Staff were wonderful, and food was excellent.
Everything about our stay was excellent.
There is nothing high end or nice about this inn, it’s dirty, poorly kept and the management and staff are rude and passive aggressive. They actually added a tip charge to my room (without my knowledge) because we didn’t tip the waiter one of the days we had their complementary breakfast that was suppose to be included with the room. We paid $1400 to stay at this dump for 4 nights and they had the nerve to ad charges for something that’s suppose to be included. I found it of poor taste because the following day we tipped the waiter double to cover for the day we didn’t have cash, yet they had the liberty to add extra charges to the tab. Don’t waste your money at this place. Poorly ran and they do not appreciate the business that they do get. I felt like they thought they were doing me a favor by allowing me to stay there, not the other way around. The pictures on the website look zero like the rooms(wall paper peeling off the walls, hair in the shower, stained carpet and furniture in the rooms, insanely loud party downstairs).I really couldn’t wait to get out of there and personally feel the management would benefit from receiving a few business and customer service trainings. If we hadn’t paid so much for the this place I would have left the first night and stayed down the street at the quality inn.
The hotel has nice grounds. I like the gazebo and breakfast area. Very nice
Nice hotel pleasant stay excellent food in restaurants
Super friendly staff. Breakfast was delishious and the entire experience was fantastic in this lush, old school new England inn. Next time we'll have dinner here ...
Comfy, cozy inn with a fun, big bar. The food is 5 star---out of this world!!!!!!! Great place to stay while attending a family event a few towns away.
