I usually stay at this property when our company hosts a seminar. On the morni by of my seminar I woke up to no hot water. Called the front desk and the gentleman said that the hotel was full and if I waited I should get hot water. Well when I pay $180 for a room I expect hot water or at the very least compensation for this problem. No compensation or result. Not impressed.
While I have stayed in way worse, this place does not come close to Holiday Inn standard. Everything seamed dark/dingy and worn out. There was no thermostat on the a/c-Heather so you had no idea when it would stop at what temp. From frozen to baking back to frozen. I found a new hotel after the first night but unfortunately it was too late to refund my second night. I ended my reservation early and had a fantastic experience at a different hotel. For the price I could not recommend it. Holiday Inn should come audit this one, before they ruin the brand rep.
We were in Kelowna because my father was in the ICU in the hospital and we needed a place to stay overnight. The desk person was very kind because of our circumstance and gave us a discount for our stay. Lovely room with two beds. We had an excellent sleep which was much needed and the free breakfast in the morning was well received by all!
I always stay at the holiday inn express for business trips, there standards are usually all the same. I checked into the hotel, the front desk kept my credit card at check in. I realized I must of lost my credit card at dinner. Went back to the hotel and ask if my credit card was there. Yes it was. The front desk said they're called my cel phone 3 times to tell me my credit card is at the front desk. I did not receive any calls at all. I stayed for 2 nights, they're did not even clean my room after the first night. Empty take out boxes left for 2 days, coffee filter not removed. Only thing was done was my bed was made. Worst part of the room ( hair in the tub ) not even cleaned before my check in. If you are looking for an good night sleep, you cannot control the heat or AC. It an manual on window AC & Heat, no control on the wall. I have stayed at around 50 different holiday inn express in north American. Kelowna holiday inn express has been worst one ever !!!!
Friendly, helpful staff. Was upgraded to tower which was nice. Room was clean and of good size. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was standard HIE fare. Always nice to experience a hot tub that's actually hot( there are many that aren't). The only issue I had was the horrible internet connection they provide. I was there on business and need a dependable internet connection and I couldn't get it at this hotel. The hotsport from my cellphone was faster. Management, please spend some money and upgrade to keep your business travelers happy. Many other HIE have already done this.
The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The only issue was the accessory plug on the side of the lamp on the bedside table. It did not hold the plug in so it could not be used. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are two chain restaurants across a busy highway (there are lights at a corner not far from the hotel). The included breakfast was varied, from scrambled eggs and bacon, to one minute pancakes, to cereal, to fresh fruit. I would happily stay here again.
we use this hotel due to familiarity to the surrounding area and centralized to tournament locations. I have been very happy with the facility. This last trip seemed to have some staffing issues (lack of cleaning staff to ready rooms) and we have a delay in accessing our reserved rooms when we arrived. I received quick and factual answers to my questions
I wasn't sure if to rate this a 3 or 4....Reception was great, they put our team on the same floor and next to each other ( a nice touch). Breakfast was fine, standard buffet fare. My biggest complaint was housekeeping or the lack of it...first morning at 9am we got a knock and words and tone to the effect of "you don't need house keeping do you?" ( I run a small hotel and we never even knock before check out time.. let alone 9am), second morning garbage emptied, cups replaced etc but beds were not even touched - we had had an early start so they were completely messy. We did meet some great staff - very helpful, and I would certainly come back as part of a group/team, but not sure I would come on a family trip...
Very friendly pleasnt helpful and accommodating. Excellent !!! The breakfast offered a wide selection of everything. Very filling which cuts down on costs on eating out. The overall hotel was clean and inviting.
Very comfortable and quiet even though the hotel was busy. Was not able to check out of the pool or breakfast due to late arrival and early morning flight but would consider staying again if price was right as there is a lot of competition close by
