This hotel always impresses. Layout of rooms with the extra sound barrier door in each room to block from hallway noises is fantastic. Mirror in hallway actually has a plug and small shelf to do hair or makeup. Always clean and staff is fantastic!!

I had an ok stay at the HI Express. The Reception staff was friendly. I asked for a quiet room since this was a working weekend for me. I was offered my choice of a room by the elevator on the "top floor" or a room on the first floor, but was warned that there were sports teams at the hotel. I chose the "Top floor" by the elevator - at least there would not be foot traffic above me and I could have a relaxing evening. When I got to the room, it was NOT the top floor as described. There was a floor above, which was super disappointing. There was an ice room/guest lounge directly above my room so I got to listen to stomping and loud conversation all evening. The room itself was spacious and had a great layout with a couch, a desk and king bed. It seemed clean, but there was a faint smell of urine by the luggage/ coat rack. I had never seen this before in hotel room, but there was a sliding barn door to close off the bathroom/kitchenette area which I thought was cool. However, the door was so stiff, it did not slide unless you used both hands and your full body weight to move it so that was a waste. The bedding did not seem super fresh, the pillowcases smelled stale and gross. The bathroom was bright and clean, but there was a huge crack on the shower tiles and the shower curtain was torn and the rings were falling off. Breakfast was awesome - a great selection of fresh food to eat. SUPER tight parking spots. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The electronic window blind was broken and the room faced a brightly lit parking lot. Room 320. I went down to the front desk and the girl said she would come and check it out. Nothing was done and I was sleeping in a bright room. I went down the next morning and told someone at the desk that they really couldn’t book that room without fixing the blinds. They should have switched me to another room if they knew they couldn’t fix it that night.
