Im giving 2 stars because the room was decent with a good view, but unfortunately we arrived and left just a few hours later. There were bugs in both bathrooms, and in all 3 beds. (Not bed bugs. We think they are beetles and larva). We had to book a last minute hotel to stay at while we waited to hear back from Coastal because it was after hours and we did not want to sleep in beds full of bugs. Also the internet never worked, presumably because of an unpaid bill (said connected without internet). That being said, Coastal resort did an excellent job with helping us fix the issue by moving us to a different location that next morning.

You can do better...

I really don't expect this to make the listing. This place was in a fantastic location & the check-in process was easy & straightforward. Everything we used worked, & we enjoyed waking up to the gorgeous view & hearing the waves crash on the beach. Those are the positives. However, we have stayed in MANY places all over the world, several less expensive than this place that were MUCH nicer. The property was very dated. The curtains & couches (not the same as in the picture) were stained & the entire place smelled of wet dog, which is interesting, given the "no pets" rule! (Not complaining, I do not think pets should be allowed!) The wallpaper was probably hung in the early 80's & is peeling back from the walls in both bathrooms. There was only a plastic waterproof matress pad in the closet. There were a grand total of 6 hangers in the closets. I only went into the 2nd bedroom to look for more hangers, so I cannot offer any opinion on that room. The place was fine, but not at all nice. I would not return or recommend it to others. I suggest the owners take a weeks' rental fee & splurge on some much needed updates. There are too many beautiful properties to rent out there.
