This hotel was an excellent choice for us.  The location is perfect, only a few blocks from the lovely Promenade des Anglais, and convenient to many bus lines that can get you wherever you want to go.  The hotel is well-designed, not only in terms of efficiency - the bedrooms, the bathrooms - but also with regard to aesthetics.  All the little touches are so charming and personal, and unusual in a hotel.   Most important for the traveller I think is the service.  The staff is terrific - unfailingly friendly and helpful, at the front desk, in the breakfast room.  The breakfast itself is quite generous, in a room with, again, many attractive features.   All in all, a winner, for an unforgettable visit to Nice.

Visited Nice in September. Weather was clear and warm. Hotel Rivoli was well positioned, only a couple of streets from the sea front. A lovely hotel with French character, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was well presented with cheery friendly staff. I recommend this hotel and will be returning next year.

Wonderful room very French in the style loved everything about it and the staff were very friendly and helpful their English was better than my French. For the proper French experience I'd book here every time.

We stayed 3 nights in Villa Rivoli. We had a superior room on the second floor. The room was not the biggest but was well equipped and clean and comfortable. A tray of tea and coffee was supplied as well as bottled water to purchase. The room temperature was comfortable. The bathroom was small but the shower was good with great water pressure. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially the young lady in the breakfast room. Breakfast was fairly expensive at €12 for a typical continental breakfast but there was a good array of fresh breads, hams and thick wedges of cheese. We were also offered a boiled egg. The only complaint I had and this not the fault of the hotel, was the very noisy guests shouting outside our room late at night and early morning. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend this value for money hotel.

We stayed here overnight after picking up a car for a week long driving holiday. We picked it as it had a parking area although in a good location. It was an easy walk to the older town, markets and water etc. As other reviews have said, everyone we met at the Hotel were very helpful and friendly. As others had also experienced, our room was very small, even for France and it was not cheap. We still had a good time. (We found the city almost impossible to drive out of with lots of roadworks to put in a new tram line I think. A taxi driver we spoke to said it is causing chaos -- hope that it finishes soon, and of course that is nothing to do with the hotel!)

Very well located hotel within walking distance to many restaurants, Two blocks from the beach. Parking is available. Breakfast available in a very nice breakfast room. Would d definitely stay here again.

The rooms are quite small but the hotel is in a great location so it would be hard to do much better for the money. The staff are uniformly peasant and helpful. It is easy walking distance to the promenade in Nice.

This hotel has a good location just a few minutes from The Promenade and the Old city. The rooms in the basement are very small and I recommend the rooms upstairs The breakfast (€12) is not worth its price bur Nice is an expansive town. I still give the hotel a fourth because of its very kind and clever girls in the reception. They are outstanding in solving problems!

The hotel are not directly on the beach but its just 4 minutes walk and the nice garden is used for a great breakfast. Its a small hotel with great accommodating personal and its near to the old town in Nice as well the beach.

Hotel clean and efficient. Rooms comfortable. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was fine but a little overpriced in my opinion - better deals can be had along the Promenade which is just a few minutes walk. Location is pretty quiet at night to be fair - only real noise is for 10 minutes each evening around 10.30pm when refuse is being collected from the street.
