Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina

A little disappointed that the pool was outdoor only and shut down for winter; however, all other amenities are lovely! We had a beautiful view of the Marina at sunrise. The staff were wonderful with my children.

Check in was slow. Only one staff member. Another eventually came to help out with the line, and it moved better then, but the staffing was definitely low for a Friday night. Check in took me over 15 minutes. In the room, there was an unidentified stain on one of the pillows that we were not to excited about. I normally would have complained, but it was late, and we just wanted to get to sleep, so we tossed pillow on couch and made do. Also, I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi. That said, my wife was able to with her Surface tablet, so maybe it was my laptop. My wife's phone can be used as a hotspot, so we turned that on and I also made due. Not a horrible hotel. Close (walking distance) so some trendy restaurants, and with good water views. But for the price and the level of restaurant it aspires to be, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. We have had other stays that were up to my expectations, but this one wasn't.

I had not been there for nearly a year. The hotel and its rooms seemed "tired". There was mold around the windows in the first room we were given and paint was peeling on the walls near the windows. The second room we were assigned was much better, but still seemed like it need a generous dose of "TLC".

This hotel and staff is the place from hell. We booked 2 months in advanced only to get there and they gave our room away. They booked us a room 30 mins away at the Econo Lodge and it was the dumps. Staff is not trained properly. Understaffed. We missed the fishing trip because they did not have enogh money in the register and no paper work to show we paid the deposit. Smh. I am lost for words.

The elevators worked poorly with one down during most of our stay. The computer/business service room did not work at all. Of the 100's of hotels I have stayed at it was the worst. The front desk staff seemed to have no clue. No local knowledge of restaurants, etc so they could not advise us as to where to go for outside meals and shopping. Were unable to assist regarding the lack of working computers. There was no local interest flyers for guest to use in planning their day. The cleaning staff missed our room and on most days did not provide adequate bath towels.

Hotel was just ok I expected more for the price I paid. Bathroom floor sticky and room could have used a few extra touches also curtains didn't close properly. Guest were loud even @ 2 am

Nice view of the marina, great walkability to local shops and area attractions (museums, places to eat, etc.). However, rooms/furnishings are somewhat outdated for the price and housekeeping was not top-notch.

There were several issues with the room and the service. The bathroom needed an overhaul, poor lighting, peeling wallpaper, rug coming away from floor at the entrance and the shower floor needs to be replaced. Housekeeping staff did not clean the room, change the linens or towels on our last day. When we asked the front desk to make amends upon checkout we were told that since it was booked thru a 3rd party they couldn't issue any kind of refund! Needless to say we won't be returning and would hesitate to stay at another Crowne Plaza property in the future.

Everything went fine. No problems with check in. Hotel staff had clear directions for restaurants within easy walking distance.

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza on previous visits. The staff is always very friendly and thorough at check-in. The rooms are comfortable with a lovely view of the marina.

The hotel itself is nice. The food is abysmal. Do not eat at this hotel. Look for other options.

The hotel was okay. The view was nice and the location was good. There were some issues with the cleanliness of the room, otherwise it was a good stay

Right on the water and walking distance to a lot of great bars and restaurants. Would stay here again.

While my stay in Hampton itself was pleasant, my hotal experience was nowhere as good. The first night only hot air blew out of the A/C vents. But since I got in late, I was too tired to call. On the next day I called the desk and they sent a technician up to look at it, but it too 40 min. When he got there though, he fixed it quickly. Then, while taking a shower, the door kept falling off the track for the shower. I fixed that myself, twice. I have visited Hampton before and I will again, but I doubt that I will stay at the Crown. Finally, when I left, the deak staff did not even ask how my stay was,

Could be better. Three of us staying got towels for one person. I called the front desk for more and they said I could come down and get more. Room okay foe a short stay.

The first night the air conditioner didn't work well. there is no refrigerator in the room so when we couldn't bring water to chill or our letovers from the festivals in town or from dinner. the location and view of the harbour was great.

I very much enjoyed my stay. Great location next to Hampton University's campus. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here when I return.

Very clean and comfy the mattresses were the best,

This was my second stay at the Crowne. It is within walking distance to Hampton's campus. The room and staff were great. I have already booked my third stay.

this hotel is located on the marina, next to the Museum. It is within easy daytrip distance of Jamestown, Yorktown & Williamsburg. The room was fine, it was clean & and had a lovely view of the marina. During the two days we were there we found some things lacking. The vending machines were broken & the front desk staff knew they were broken, but did not bother to put up an out of order sign. When I approached the staff to report the situation the response was " oh yeah, don't use those, just come downstairs & get one from our store here". Also , there was consistantly a 7-10 minute wait for an elevator. I would have taken the stairs even though it was 6 flights) but there was no stair access to/from the main floor. Be aware that housekeeping showed up around 8:30 am to clean our room.
