Rodeway Inn Middletown

THERE'S A SHORTAGE OF PLUG OUTLETS. I BROUGHT MY COMPUTER: I COULDN'T USE IT BECAUSE: THERE WASN'T A OUTLET NEAR THE DESK! THE BATHROOM DIDN'T HAVE ANY WASH CLOTHS: IT ONLY HAD 2 BATH TOWELS & 2 HAND TOWELS! ONE OF THE BATH TOWELS HAD HAIR ON IT!

I was in Rodeway Inn in Chicago and expected same in Middletown, but...

We stayed here for Newport folk fest weekend. It's nothing fancy (far from it) but one of the less expensive options for one of the busiest weekends of the year. Convenient to bike to Fort Adams, water shuttles and downtown.

THIS IS A COMFORTABLE, AFFORDABLE, QUIET AND CLEAN HOTEL! THIS HOTEL IS IN A GOOD LOCATION AND: THERE'S ALOT OF STORES AND RESTAURANTS NEARBY! THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY! I'D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL: TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS! I LIKED THIS HOTEL! THE ONLY ISSUES I HAD WAS: THEIR WAS A HALF A ROLL OF TOILET TISSUE: ON THE DISPENSER AND THEIR WAS A NEW ROLL ALSO. I THINK THE NEW ROLL OF TOILET TISSUE: SHOULD'VE BEEN ON THE DISPENSER INSTEAD! THE CONTAINER YOUR GIVEN FOR ICE: DIDN'T HAVE A PLASTIC BAG IN IT AND: I SAW A PIECE OF HAIR IN IT! THE TOILET SEAT WAS HARD AND OLD : IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED! SOMETIME'S THE HEATER BLEW OUT COLD AIR! I THINK THE DOOR FACING THE PARKING LOT ON GROUND LEVEL: SHOULD HAVE A DEADBOLT LOCK ON THE INSIDE! THE HOTEL HAD FREE WIFI. THE INTERNET WAS RUNNING FAST EXCEPT FOR THE 1 TIME: I WAS TRYING TO LOG BACK IN: THE COMPUTER SAID SERVER NOT FOUND! THE OLD SMOKE DETECTOR WAS HANGING FROM THE CEILING: THE NEW SMOKE DETECTOR WAS BOLTED TO THE WALL. I THINK THE OLD DETECTOR SHOULD'VE BEEN SCREWED IN OR REMOVED IT'S UNATTRACTIVE! I NOTICED THE COMFORTER ON 1 OF THE BEDS WASN'T TUCKED IN EVENLY: IT WAS RUSHED. ALL I SAW IN THE DINING AREA FOR BREAKFAST: WAS CORN FLAKES.

I have been coming here for years now. Have heard stories about other hotel experiences from the different hotels that charge more and I am always pleased with what I recieve for the price I pay.

nice hotel, in the best area, next to really expensive hotels, this one with a really good/price value

Old, not updated hotel. Clean room. Free continental breakfast included cereal, oatmeal, toast, waffles, pastry, donuts, apples, juice, and coffee. Convenient location to stores and casino. Located just outside Newport away from the congestion.

Bugs all over the hallway. The room smell really Bad. The bathroom tub had hair for someone who stay the before. The air conditioner vents were broken. I won't recommend stay here at all

My experience here was not terrible But it also was not the best. The sheets weren't on the bed when we arrived and they didn't have a bottom sheet so the mattress was exposed several times. There was gum stuck to one of the pillows and the whole hotel had a funny smell.

The bathroom was disgusting and needs completely redone to get rid of the mold and mildew. The trim and molding were falling off the wall. The room smelled like mold and the AC unit was falling apart. The breakfast donuts were frozen and I had to wake the employee to put out the breakfast. It appears as if people either live there or just come in and eat the breakfast because the drug addict that I ate with though very nice and "Conversational" was not what I expected.

If you are looking for a low cost accomadations in the Newport area, you cannot beat the hotel for the price. Near everything, great staff.

I took a few days off, stayed here because of the location, wanted to visit Newport and Bristol. It is close to both, near resturants, harbor shopping. They treat you with a "polite profeeesionalism" and try to make you feel that they are there to make you comfortable. Had a room with a balconly, will be back this summer.

I recently stayed at this fine "Inn" for St Paddys day, the staff was awesome and for the price you can't beat it. I have been itchy since I slept in the bed there so I may have bed bugs. I did the normal check I do at every hotel I stay at but There were just so many stains I couldn't really tell what was what. There is nothing special about this place but for the price I guess it's worth it. AS LONG as the reason I feel itchy is just because I'm nervous about the possibility of bed bugs and not because I have bed bugs.

I travel to Newport monthly and find this the most affordable place, clean, great location, breafast, intenet and a super staff. You cannot beat this deal.

Although the location was good for mine and my boyfriend's weekend in Middletown and Newport, the rest was horrible. The room we stayed in was small, the bathroom was very utilitarian, the tub did not drain, the room and AC smelled very musty, and to be honest, I think the place has bed bugs. Not worth the price in the least. Bypass your stay here, and pay the extra $$ for better amenities elsewhere.

Right over Newport border aproxently 2 miles from downtown Newport and the beach. 1/2 mile from the slots place that has a good buffet on fri and sat night for $20. Price is good in comparison to other hotels but its noticeable that u get what u pay for. Room had a ton of flies in it and some unknown stains on the blankets. Tv remote didn't work and customer service really wasnt up to par but really just was only there to sleep so can't complain. If u can't catch a cab back from downtown at night try the pizza deliverly guys.

Dirty, the amenities were deceiving as advertised.

I travel to the Newport area a couple of times a month. I seek out a mid level hotel and this is it for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the best for the price. You cannot meet a more friendly and attentive staff. Its where I will be for as long as I have work in the area.

i read that its smells like curry. and it did. at least not the area our room was in. the owner must live on the premises. only planned on staying one night so i wasnt expecting much. they could improve on the housekeeping.

The hotel is fine. The staff is pleasant and the room was clean. It would be hard to beat for the price. I will be staying there regularly when in the area for business. Good internet and breakfast.
