Newport Beach Hotel & Suites

When did basic customer service lose its priority in a customer service industry. I am appalled really by the lack of attention to detail here at Newport Beach Hotel and Suites. I came on Friday 21 July 2017. We left the room on Saturday to check out the beach got some sand in the tub before 1pm. We returned early afternoon and the room had not been cleaned or the tub. Sunday we go out again to return to an unserviced room. I called the front desk and someone came to clean the bathroom and empty the trash. I checked behind him to find the tub unclean. I was told there would be a $15 discount for the inconvenience. The soaps were replaced in the room Monday morning, however none of the cups which were all depleted were replaced. The personnel behaved as if they were being inconvenienced to do simple things. I paid the what I considered excessive fee for this room because I wanted my son who is reporting to duty on Tuesday July 25 to enjoy his last days prior. Even he said the service was terrible. Oh, I had to ask for face towels as none were in the room when we checked in. The smells in the hallways wreak of mold and mildew. We were awakened early Monday morning with pounding we were told came from tile repairs to the laundry room. I have had better service from a $50 hotel. Toilet ran all day. I would not recommend this hotel to someone who cares about cleanliness and basic customer service, even with the beach across the street. Also the tub was stopped up also

We had a group of 8 staying for the night. The downstairs bar was dry which was great. We brought our own liquor and had some snacks and had a blast before heading out to eat. Nice view and no disturbances. It was perfect.

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff was wonderful, the room was fresh and inviting. Loved it so much. Will always stay here.

Musty smell thruout but that's the first thing to greet you. Historic rooms are NOT worth the money-so small you trip over your own luggage on the floor. No coffee creamer one day. No dining or any breakfast items, very busy street if you've got little kids. Staff at front kinda perpetually grouchy.

We stayed for 1 night in February. We could hear the traffic so clearly we thought the window was open even though it wasn't. In the middle of the night my husband and I were woken by a rumbling noise we thought at first was the radiator but realized it was someone in the next room snoring! The room was tiny, only space for one night stand next to the bed so I had to put my cell phone, glasses and water on the floor on my side.

I love this hotel! We stayed there for our honeymoon and our 1st year anniversary. The staff is amazing and very helpful. They gave us suggestions for food, winery, and things to do. It's .75 miles from the beginning of the Cliff Walk which is beautiful. It's across the street from First Beach and walking distance to a few restaurants. It's only a 5 minute drive to Thames St. and fun Newport, RI attractions. The bedding, towels, and everything about the room we loved. It was so relaxing! We can't wait to go again!

I would like to say the location of the hotel is near everything, my most memorable experience was checking into the hotel, Bridget, she was exceptionally understanding and kind about my concerns of not having an ocean view after booking and paying for one. The hotel was packed and she explained that if there was availability she would gladly upgrade us for an additionally fee. She did her best to accommodate us and we really appreciate her efforts. Although everything was closed for the season we enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the Atlantic. I would recommend this hotel but do your due diligence to verify accommodation preferences.

Been coming to Newport for several years. This was the best experience since we've been coming down. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Beds are comfy, updated rooms are nice. Water pressure is a little weak, but other than that it was a tremendous stay!

we spent night in walk in closet. unacceptable size for $100 price.

The room was beautiful with easy access to restaurants and the water. Hot tub on roof was very nice and relaxing. Great spot

My husband and I have visited the Newport Beach Hotel for the last two years over MLK weekend. The hotel is very reasonably priced at this time of year because of the weather, but it is still so beautiful. We enjoyed our beachfront view and the friendly staff. The rooms have always been clean and we will continue coming back!

This is a great location and a nice hotel, but vastly overpriced. We got the ocean view, but the window was so small that it didn't matter. The room had 2 queen sized beds, but is wasn't big enough. There was not enough room!

Great! I would come back. The pool and view were great.

A quick $5 Uber ride from downtown Newport and right on the beach! 5 minute walk to the Cliff Walk. Plenty of bars right next to the hotel to enjoy as well. Will definitely stay here again next time in Newport!

Simply amazing would stay here again in a heart beat and would recommend to all

The rooms were amazing. The suite we had was huge and everyone was able to hang out in it. We were also right on the beach and walking distance from three different bars. Overall it was a great time.

i would certainly stay here again. Room was clean, great view.

Rooms are small but good for just staying night. Fire alarm went off 5am Due to water leak. This is our 2nd stay. 1st stay was a better experience. At least a sorry would of been nice at check out. Would probably stay again.

We stayed there overnight to attend a wedding in Newport. The room is clean, bed is comfortable but the room is kind of small. TV has a lot of channels including HBO. We borrowed 2 complimentary DVD movies, but the DVD player did not work. Gym room is very small. We also used the indoor swimming pool which is small, and hot tub. Our overall experience is satisfied, but we would rate it 3 1/2 stars not 4.
