I stayed at this Courtyard for only one night, which is why I could only give it four stars. When I walked in, the lobby and eating area were spacious and clean. Check-in was smooth. My room was clean and very comfortable. Although, my pillows could have been much better. Lol. My room had a small refrigerator, but no microwave. There was no complimentary breakfast, but the hotel was close to many stores and restaurants. Also, I believe there have a restaurant on-site. I would definitely stay here again.
They gave us a really hard to get a late checkout. Would only offer to 1 pm. Had to call hotels.com to get late checkout to 2 pm. We offered to pay a day rate but they still refused. All other hotels in the area offered it to their guests who needed to stay for additional time because their child made it to finals in a swim meet, held in the evening. Will not stay there again and will not recommend to anyone.
Really confortable. We arrived late and people were really nice. For a night it is a good compromise. Just a thing, a little bit noisy. Beds are confortable and bedroom nice. We stay there because we want to visit OCC.
It was disappointing! I arrived at 9:30 and was told the elevator was not working, ok that happens, I had checked in online and usually ask for the top floor, since the elevator was not working I asked for a first floor room, I was informed that they were all taken ! Knowing that the elevator was not working , no effort was made to reassign a gold member like myself by the front desk!!! Then I was given a 2nd floor room that smelled a bit stale as well the thermostat did not seem to work ! Also I had a sandwich and soup and that was disappointing as well The fruit that came with it was soft the grapes were soft and the Mellon seemed as if it was in the refrigerator all week long !! Just my two cents about my stay ! Oh yea when I went to check out the two gals at the desk were more interested in talking about the weekend rather then asking how my stay was!
Our room was extremely clean and spacious (king size bed with sofa) overlooking the front parking lot with the airport in the distance. The front desk people were very accommodating in assisting me with setting up my Marriott Rewards program so that I can take advantage of the free night deal. Everything was very comfortable and the hotel was easy to find. I would have preferred a hotel that provided a free breakfast. Since we arrived late the first night, we had dinner in the Bistro. A little pricey which is to be expected. However I was impressed that they had a number of craft beers on stock. Most of the other guests looked like business travelers but we were on a trip to visit Storm King Art Center and explore the area.
This is the standard Courtyard hotel: room with two queen beds, nice bathroom, nothing bad but nothing really makes it stand out. It has a nice cafe that served a good breakfast for a reasonable price.
My wife and I needed to be in the area and we chose this Courtyard because it was close to Rt 84 and the NYS Thruway. I think it was renovated not to long ago and they did a nice job. The staff was very friendly and helpful which is always a plus. We were in room 314 which was a lovely mini suite (actually very good size). It had a great desk area, sitting area with TV, a king size bed and a second TV. The bathroom was very small and the shower was so so. It's very close to Stewart Airport, restaurants, gas, and some shopping.
Platinum Premiere member literally arguing with the front desk staff at check in. Moved over to Marriott properties in Fishkill NY tonight and found a much better experience. Bottom line is there are much better Marriott properties in the area to choose from. I routinely travel the I-87 corridor and stay loyal to Marriott brands. This location does not offer any customer service of any sort, period. I won't be back.
I booked this property for the proximity to Stewart airport and the Marriott brand. My arrival was greeted by a couple of very welcoming agents at the front desk and checking in was straightforward. They very quickly gave me an overview of the hotel amenities and I was off to my room. Good size space with a a couch, coffee table, desk/flatscreen TV set up and a mini fridge coffee maker right outside the well-lit bathroom. Bathroom amenities are by Paul Mitchell, linens were plush and shower water pressure heavenly. I am always concerned about aircraft noise at airport hotels, but there was no worries here. However, you can hear every ding of the elevator as well as every footstep and voices in the hallway and the goings-on next door. Make sure to ask for a room away from the elevator if you can. My other gripe is that the fingerprint smeared windows needed a cleaning and the room could use better dusting on light fixtures, behind the TV and other nooks and crannies. There is little or no venting in the bathroom. There is no in-room safe and the free wifi was intermittent - perhaps the premium paid wifi is more consistent?
The hotel is trying to be cosmopolitan as evidenced by decor and a small social seating area with a bar, but falls short with room space, double beds (need queens for our family to share), as well as a very tiny pool. During our stay there were over 16 kids in a pool the size of about 10x20. There were babies in the pool with no swim diapers (I saw the parents take the children out,rip the diaper off, throw it on the pool deck, and proceed to scoop the gel into a hotel towel). The rooms are noisy by the road. The blow dryer did not work on high heat after 30 seconds. We asked for a replacement and they told us there wasn't one as the hotel was booked. Also, trash cans were difficult to obtain, when we did find them the size was about 4x6. I can't believe how much we take advantage of just being able to have a trash receptacle. We did like the shower head (multiple settings).
