I have lived in Brooklyn for decades and never could have imagined staying in Red Hook . But.. in 2025.. this place is a beacon! One of the best hotels I have stayed in when visiting my home! People say the area is sketchy.. it’s not. It’s just full of manufacturing facilities.. but it’s safe. The restaurant in the area were outstanding.. and in walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding!! Parking was plentiful and easy… Hot and cold food and the whole facility was clean .. and quiet. I will absolutely stay again..

No welcome greetings, Staff weren’t in shape of work, Was busy with her colleague, lift was out of service, they gave us room on 3rd floor even after lift issue. They charge us for complimentary breakfast $27 which we didn’t agree to take because we had to catch train 6’ o clock and breakfast start from 6:30 in morning. We requested earlier night to bring down our luggage from 3rd floor to lobby but staff said he can’t manage himself so we had to brought our luggage down. Totally disappointed situation. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

Not worth the savings

There is a reason it was the cheapest thing in the area. It was not terrible, but I would not stay here again. I recommend spending the extra money to stay somewhere nicer. The room was really small, the smallest I think I have ever stayed in with 2 beds. The breakfast had a good spread, but the people serving acted like you where eating their food from their own home, it was very odd. I shipped a small box of items to be there waiting for me (maybe a 12"x12"x12" box) and they charged me a $35 storage fee. I have done this hundreds of times, and this is the first time I have been charged a storage fee for a single box. I understand for a pallet, but not a box this small. Front desk staff was friendly, which is the only reason they are not getting a worse score.

Travelers will definitely sleep WELL at The Lodge RH. The rooms are simple but provide you with what you need for a 1-3 night stay. The hotel’s breakfast is a wonderful spread of hot foods, fresh fruit, yogurts, and overnight oats. The culinary try staff members were very friendly. My husband and I are so happy to know that this gem is in our neighborhood!

Don’t Try

1. Requested room away from elevator and they mentioned they know when checkin. My room was assigned in the basement. RIGHT ACROSS THE ELEVATOR. 2. The elevator is out of service. We are moving heavy luggage’s ourselves with the stairs. No help offered. 3. The basement is extremely humid the first night arrive. When asked to move room, we are ask to pack up all luggage’s, move to lobby and WAIT FOR AVAILABILITY. 4. Breakfast was included. So…so…so I only asked for a cup of tea. SORRY OUR HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER TEA. 5. Bathroom is really dirty that you can see stuff on the sink. People pick this place as a pre-cruise stay. I would definitely not staying here again with the price. I am so worry I will get sick here. I am giving this place 2 stars that they should be.

Great place and convenient to everything/short walk/Uber. Xavier at the front desk was extremely helpful. Great place to stay with incredible very extensive breakfast (like a European breakfast) with many options… frittata, eggs, sausage, fruits, cereal, beautiful salad with cucumbers, tofu, and lettuce and artichoke hearts. Incredible. All the staff so nice -we will be back.

Reasonable for short stays

Clean and reasonable, but our room was near the entrance and a constant alarm was going off which could be heard from the room. The alarm went off all night and no explanation was given and simply offered ear plugs. Toilet didn’t flush properly and then shower tap was extremely loose and difficult to adjust water temp.

The elevator was out, and although they said they were trying to fix it, it was never fixed. I have a injury and needed an elevator. Manager blamed the extreme heat from last week. Staff tried to help. Location was noisy. AC noisy and poor quality. Staff was pleasant but defensive. Room was clean. I’m not good thing.

Room was qiuiet and A/C worked. Large variety of food at breakfast. Negatives: roaches in room - one jumped out of coffeemaker one evening. Toilet ran for 2 nights before getting fixed. Bathroom sink stopped up and took 2 requests to repair. No grab bars in shower if you need them. The floors in the Breakfast room were slick as ice and visibly "wet" so your feet slid around most days. Breakfast food sat out on counter, so you only got most foods at appropriate temperature if you got down there as soon as they were put out at 6:30 am, and some items like cut-up fruit, run out by 9 am. Spoke with manager about roaches, told him how disappointed we were and wouldn't stay there again or recommend their hotel to anyone. He told me how seriously they take these issues and was sending exterminator up. He sent me email later stating room was inspected and no evidence of roaches was found, but room was thoroughly "sanitized" and left in pristine condition. NO mention of using bug spray and unsure what "sanitized" meant. Oh, then he offered me a 20% discount on future stays - ha! No discount on our roach infested room, though.

This was a new property and well kept. The breakfast options were good, though they ran out of few items early on. There are no drinking fountains in facility so could not refill water bottles.
