This hotel had the best balcony room on Bourbon. It was a pleasure staying here and the employees are very personable which I like. Good stay...will definitely stay here again and the location cannot get any better!
Amazing house over a hundred years old converted to a hotel! Right on bourbon street! Loud from the bars but that’s kinda what you want staying on bourbon street right? $30/night parking that was very convenient. Great staff. Spooky antique filled room. Loved it!
First of all Billy the front desk associate was amazing. Helpful, kind and very knowledgeable of the area. The property is very unique, not for everyone, but if you enjoy the history of the location this is a cool stay. Our room had a loft with a 2nd bed which was unexpected. We were in room 5 which was off the patio and was great not having to go up stairs. AC was set at 77 so if you like a really cold room it won't be that one. But we were fine with it, the room had a fan which was great. It was still very comfortable. Across the street was the Blacksmith Bar one of the oldest in the country which was pretty cool, always packed. Location was great we were able to walk everywhere. Would definitely stay there again.
I will never use orbitz or that hotel again and i will use social media to blast both as much as possible
If you want a boring and sterile experience in a boring sterile room in a boring sterile building, then go to the Marriott and have a boring and sterile trip. However, if you want to immerse yourself in the experience, stay here. But remember it is over a century old, and has the issues that come with old, old houses (including ghosts, allegedly, though i didn't see any). I highly recommend staying here. The staff was outstanding, the locations was perfect, and the experience was fun!
Good location. People were pleasant. Bathroom is a slum. Curtains torn. Some of the furniture falling apart. Way over priced, considering condition.
We upgraded for a room balcony-deck but 2 workers were out there, unannounced, one morning, and rain prevented us from using it 2 other days, so we never used it. (A really bad thunder-storm blew away the balcony flag and blew a window shutter off the balcony wall.)
Great location small bathroom (but who cares ) but big bedroom with. Balcony. Very clean and very friendly front desk and bar tender
Great place and staff! Surprisingly quiet in the room for a hotel on Boutbon Street. Very convenient location. Beautifully decorated.
We had a great time at the Guest House. Rooms were nice and with a very friendly staff in a perfect location. Staying in a converted 1800's French Quarter home is exactly what we look for when staying in the Quarter and if that is what you are looking for Lafitte's will not disappoint. The only issue we had was with the lock on our original room but as soon as they saw we were having trouble they switched our room without question and even removed one of our nights of parking from the bill. Would highly recommend and we look forward to staying again as soon as we can.
The hotel is an old mansion and that is very cool. However we stayed in room 34 and I don't think it's part of the original mansion, very small, and not worth the $300 a night. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was really friendly.
If you can get past the old building it take great stop we had a great time picture is from the balcony of the bed and breakfast
We stayed at the Lafitte Guest House from May 13 through May 16. It is right on Bourbon Street and everything in the French Quarter is in walking distance. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Room 33 was beautiful except for the bathroom, which was in pretty bad shape. It was clean but there were tiles missing on the floor and it looked like it had not been updated in decades. I would stay there again.
The guest house is located right on Bourbon St which is very convenient to the French Quarter, although not as much to the financial district or other neighborhoods. The room I stayed in was quite run down, with no drainage in the bathroom (sink or bathtub). The room also opened directly onto the courtyard which was less than ideal since several groups were quite noisy at night.
Very nice. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the lobby and room decorated very tastefully, just what you might expect in old New Orleans.

Were sorry to hear about your disappointment with your stay. Almost all of the furniture in our hotel is antique, adding to the feel of our old world feel. Please, next time, let us know what we can do to make your stay more pleasant.
