Andrew Jackson Hotel®, a French Quarter Inns® Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

No water pressure, taking a shower took forever. It also took the room about 2 hrs to cool down.

The hotel is at a great location in the French Quarter. The staff were great and I enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning that you could schedule a certain time to arrive at your door. My bed was super soft as well as the towels. The bathroom is small and had to dry off in the bedroom, They need to provide a full-size ironing board instead of the table top one. Wish I could give it five stars.

Nice hotel Nice hotel

Hotel is nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and rooms are easy to access. Breakfast is kind of a joke. It's literally one croissant, juice, coffee, or hot chocolate. The room I stayed in only had hot water in the bathroom sink. It is located very close to all the French Quarter attractions. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed it, friendly staff and the proximity to the fun on Bourbon Street made it worth it. Add in the "haunted" history (along with some odd laughing of young boys in the courtyard at 1:30 a.m.) and it made for a great stay!

This small hotel is located right in the French Quarter so the location is perfect. The staff was friendly. The rooms however are tiny. The bathroom was even smaller. We only stayed one night before our cruise so the size didn't matter too much, but I can't imagine spending several nights there. Also, there is no elevator if you are assigned to anything but the first floor.

Great location - never took out the car. Continental breakfast to our room was a treat.

Have walked by this hotel probably a hundred times over the years. This was my first time saying there. Reasonable rate. The desk staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was great. Also, wonderful little courtyard in the back. Overall so much better than the "chain" hotels. Highly recommend.

The French Quarter is filled with beautiful old buildings. This one could use more updating. There were 2 overhead light fixtures missing, with open walls to the fixture boxes. Half the toilet paper holder was missing. The light in the room was part of the overhead fan. The wall plugs were loose and not at all secure. The toilet ran, noisily, off and on all night. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. The coffee/breakfast server was a bit abrupt and harried. I am from New Orleans, and visit often. I will probably not willingly stay there again, unless I hear they undergo a major renovation. For the same price you can stay in much nicer digs.

It was a lovely visit, staff very helpful and friendly.

Very quaint. Pleasant staff.. Coffee and crossaints delivered every morning. Peaceful and secure courtyard.

The hotel is more like a B&B. Great little place to stay and close to the sites in the French Quarter.

This hotel was so disgusting that we had to leave that night. Great if you are looking for a crack wh!re or cockroaches.

While the hotel location is excellent, right in the French Quarter, the rate is well above what I would ever pay for this level of comfort.

Excellent location for visiting the French Quarter. However, it can be noisy all night long due to its location. Our room was great. High ceilings, old style furnishings, a neat place. I wish they could have been a little more flexible with the checkout time.

We arrived in the French Quarter and was quite happy at the looks of our hotel. It was not one of those big generac ones that could be in any city. This was old New Orleans. The lobby isn't much but we were given a 2nd floor room opening up to the front upper verandah. How lovely it was to sit up there, sipping wine, and watching the world go by below. When we wanted to go anywhere it was an easy walk to all. The disadvantage to an old hotel was that we had no way to change any of the settings on the AC but the hotel was most accomodating. Across the street was a wonderful restaurant, Cafe Amelie, where we could eat in a beautiful open courtyard full of flowers and fountains. We would definitely return.
