This was a last minute booking. The first room I got was in the back of the building. The room smelled of smoke, The furniture was damage and the bath room fixtures were in poor shape. My daughter was with me and was grossed out when we entered the room. I was told that there were no available rooms in the front of the building. That was not so. I was given a clean room in the front of the building. What a mega difference! I went from a room that looked like it was from a junk yard to one that was almost show room ready. I do not know if the owners are new and are slowly fixing each room but, that room should have never been given to anyone.

Access was convienient right off the highway..room was ok..would stay again

My boyfriend and I were in CT visiting a friend for the weekend and picked this hotel for the deal. I should have thought better of it and spent the extra money and we could have avoided this horrible experience. There were hairs on the bed spread, the "new" sheets and the "new" towels. Hairs that obviously did not belong to us given the color and length. The walls were made of paper so we could hear all of the 4am drunken, comings-and-goings of our neighbors. The shower did nothing to help clean us since there was no water pressure and I had to practically kneel down under it since it was installed for guests that are a maximum height of 5'5". The room was moldly and our allergies were acting up the entire stay. While the workers shielded behind the bulletproof glass in the lobby were nice enough, there was absolutely nothing that would convince me to return to this hotel.

Was on a 16-days-New-England-trip, motel was worst: Situated next to noisy interstate. Old lady knocked at 10 pm at door, wanted to repair the sink - never called her! Breakfast was incomplete. Receptionist loudly chatting (in Spanish) with cleaning stuff. Asked for rest of breakfast, got a "will you never do that again-view" . They opened the doors to let fresh air in (and to get me out?) - at 9 am!?. For check-out I had to look for receptionist - of course chatting in another room... Please take another motel!

It would be nice to have a Refridgerator in the room and a microwave. Only having one microwave in the lobby was time consuming and not convenient. The room took a very long time to warm up and when it finally did was stifling. The room is much smaller than it used to be and the jaccuzzi is as well as the bed. The room is clean but very different.

I was notified that there would be an extra charge for any changes. I did make a change from a King bed to two Double Beds. These are equal cost rooms. I did not expect a $25.00 charge per room per day. This increased the room cost from $70 to $95 per day for EACH day at the motel. I should have canceled the reservation, picked another motel and saved some money. I called the front desk for info but the phone was constantly busy. I called for a wake up call. The line was also busy. I called their outside line and got immediate assistance.

The room was neat and tidy and the furniture was nice. The bedspread had what looked like cigarette holes in it. The bed was comfortable. The biggest complaint was that the carpet surrounding the tile by the jaccuzi tub was wet when we arrived.

Chose this hotel because it was close to Interstate 95, of modest price and previous reviews seemed quite positive. We were given a room on the second floor, backside of the building. To get to our room we had to walk an outside corridor which was very shaky and seemed to be in need of reinforcement. Once inside the room it was spacious and clean. However, there was an odor, no hair dryer and both the phone and internet did not work. For a good part of the evening there was a lot of activity and noise coming from the outside corridor which interferred with our sleep. Overall it seemed that the motel could do with a major renovation/facelift.

well the front desk looks like a bank teller with a huge wall of bullet proof glass which made me a little uneasy. then they gave me a room - after photo coping my id, which I thought was over kill. Then the key they gave me didn't work - so I went back they reissued the key - still no luck the third time they came with me and it worked for the hotel staff - odd. Then an hour later I was leaving and I tried the key again for safety and I got it to work once every 20 times. I went back to the desk - they gave me a new room - pain as I had to move my stuff. New room the heat didn't work - when I went to the desk they hadn't turned it on in that room - after that the heat worked - really quite a pain - they were nice enough but not really concerned or overly helpful - I felt I was inconvienence for them

An excellent deal for the price. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating. I have stayed there on two different occasions while looking at and applying to graduate school, they have been consistently good. The internet access is not great so it may not be ideal for business and their accommodations would not be considered luxury. However, if you simply need a place to spend the night, I highly recommend the Econo Lodge.

Cheap hotel and basic amenities but they are customer service oriented.

This hotel was just fine, nothing special but a cheap place to sleep for a night if you need to be in New Haven. The internet was weird and did not work very well - they give you a router type thing instead of just providing wifi. One of ours did not work, and they said they had no more. Breakfast was actually decent, beds were comfortable and the shower was good, though mounted very very low! Towels and sheets seemed slightly dirty...

Not a vacation spot but definitly great for a basic business trip. Clean, quiet, TV actually works, comfortable bed and a very reasonable price. I'm a bargain hunter when I travel which on occasion has landed me in a few flea bags. This was definitly not a flea bag.

Staff is unfriendly and hightly unprofessional. Definately do not get trained with the "guest is always right" mentality. Will never stay here again!

This hotel is a bit run down. It's in an area I wouldn't consider all that safe, but the police deptartment is right across the street. It was generally quiet there but we felt somewhat unsafe in that area. The lobby of the hotel has recently been remodeled and looks fantastic, but the rooms are pretty basic. The lobby counter is protected by a glass pane that is hard to communicate through, which is obviously for the security of the staff there. The free internet is not wireless but is provided via a free kit you have to request that pipes the internet through the power lines to a router box you use to connect to your PC. This was okay, but a bit slow.

If yer lookin to stay for just a night or two and wont be spending much time, its pretty good.

Clean, quiet, close to shopping, dining, and UNH.
