Was this a Days Inn or Motel 6? My non-smoking room had the smell of stale smoke. The room was cleaned well, just very bare-bones. To use the microwave I had to unplug TV. Bedside clock was unplugged. Desk chair had no padding, just springs. I had a nice pillow though. No lotion or conditioner, just soap & shampoo. Thin, sandpaper towels will save you money on exfoliating products. Breakfast followed suit - just barely warmed mini-omlettes, bread, waffles, yogurt. No potatoes, meat, muffins, pastries, etc. The price was great! I just expected slightly better from a Days Inn.....
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Great front desk service. Bed was super comfortable.
We saw a couple of bugs that we feel came in around the door..after my husband killed two bugs everything else went well..
Given key to occupied room. No apology. Cleanlines not a priority here. AC not very effective.
Nice comfortable room with friendly staff also enjoyed the breakfast that was included
We had a good experience everything was nice and clean great for the price would definitely stay again when we return
Room was ready, quick in and out. Very friendly staff. Very close to all restaurants . Would definitely stay again
We booked New Braunfels as we were taking our van in for repairs. The front desk was amazing allowing us to check in early plus accommodated us on a ground floor room. The hot breakfast was the best I have seen, and included waffles, fruit, yogurt and an egg omelet (that we didn't try). Our room had a fridge, microwave and big screen T.V. Location is great. Applebees and Ihop on the same lot. Only downside at all was the pool was a wee bit dirty and the price was a little high for being 30 minutes out of San Antonio.. but I suspect that was due to timing as we booked during Fiesta San Antonio.
Staff was very friendly and had great knowledge of the area. Recommended places to eat and area attractions. Was a joy to talk with.
The location was good, but the room was less than satisfactory. The pictures were missing from the walls, the toilet leaked when flushed, the shower head leaked and ran down the wall, there was no working bathroom vent, the blow dryer was broken completely and there were ants in the continental breakfast area. The staff was friendly and helpful although the check in time o gives you isn't correct according to the staff.
The Hotel front desk staff were wonderful! Apparently the *brand name not allowed* put both rooms under smoking EVEN THOUGH I REQUESTED NON-SMOKING!! so the front desk had to scramble and find 2 non-smoking rooms together. We did not get the King-sized bed but that was okay.
I have stayed at other Days Inn; most were fairly mediocre. This was, by far, the nicest Days Inn I have ever visited. A great value for the money. More than that, I was extremely impressed with the hospitality of the management. I hobbled in on a broken leg. The clerk went out of his way to relocate me in a room equipped for the handicapped, something I had not even requested. I would enjoy staying here again--even after my leg heals.
This hotel was just average, but all that we needed for our stay in New Braunfels. It was clean and comfortable and centrally located. It is on the feeder road making it easy to access and still close to all of the area attractions. Not a resort/ hang out and relax type hotel, but a clean & comfortable homebase after along day of tubing and sightseeing. Affordably priced with a fridge & microwave in the room, small outdoor pool and minimal continental breakfast included. I would recommend this hotel to travelers on the go.
Had a good experience. Nothing fancy. But the staff are fantastic. Very friendly. Very helpful. The General Manager was hands on. And very interested in making his hotel a better place. Would definitely stay again.
Room was clean. Breakfast was lame. Was great for just crashing after a long day on the river. Very short drive to the Comal.
The hotel was reasonably priced and was about average. One of the great things about the hotel was that it was in a great location. Easy access to surrounding restaurants and local attractions. We will definitely stay there again. Good value for the price.
The room had a very musky, moldy, bad smell to it, and the floors near the bathroom were soaked. The bathroom was not completely clean, as we were able to determine that the dried up brownish/orange stains on the bathroom wall in front of the toilet were not water stains if you know what I mean. Pretty disgusting. The A/C was cold, however.
Everything about that motel is great only thing was that the pool was dirty
We were in New Braunfels for a family reunion and my family of four just needed a place to sleep for one night so we were not concerned with amenities other than wanting a clean room and a decent breakfast in the morning. The Days Inn New Braunfels was not far from our destination and was one of the only hotels in town we could find that advertized two queen beds for at or under $100 per night and claimed to have a wonderful hot breakfast so we gave it a chance. Calling those beds "queen" was a stretch as they sure seemed much smaller than that to me. They were also very soft and springy with little support so none of us slept very well. The room itself was okay and the air conditioner worked great but the room could have used a good steam cleaning. The door to the room hung crooked so it would not close on its own and it had gaps big enough to allow the local crickets to come in for an evening visit. In the bathroom the commode was not bolted down very well (which seems to be an issue at many hotels), the shower water was pretty hard and luke-warm at best (although the pressure wasn't too bad) and there were stains behind the door and on the shower curtain that the cleaning crew had apparently overlooked. We did not plan to use either, but the pool was tiny and looked pretty green and the exercise room was quite small and consisted of nothing more than one treadmill and a small universal machine. They did offer fresh hot waffles in the morning which were pretty good (it’s hard to mess those up) but the bread was stale, the bagels were hard and the juice machine was broken. All in all a pretty lousy breakfast. If you are just looking for a cheap place to just crash for the night and don't plan to do much more than sleep there, this hotel will accommodate. But if you are looking for a nice place to stay with family and plan to swim and enjoy the hotel’s amenities while you are there, I’d suggest shopping around a little before booking here.
Overall, the hotel was great for the value. The breakfast left a little to be desired....no juice and the only fruit was a couple of apples. The coffee was great! We would stay there again.
