Perfect Getaway for a Girls Weekend

This VRBO was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for a girls’ weekend with family and friends to celebrate my sister’s and my birthday. The house was so charming and had everything we needed—and more! The location was ideal, making it easy to get to everything we wanted to do while still feeling like a peaceful country retreat. We were less than 10 minutes from anything we needed, but it felt like a hidden getaway. Truly the best weekend ever! I cannot recommend this place enough and would love to stay here again!

EXCELLENT GET AWAY PLACE

This was a family gathering to honor a loved one. We stayed here once before with that loved one and she loved it. It was so special. The family loved it and the planning was very easy. Thank you to the manager as well!

Family Thanksgiving getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was rustic, yet clean and well equipped. The fire pit and spacious grounds were awesome. We all enjoyed watching deer on the property in the mornings and evenings. The property was a great launchpad for all of the local attractions. I would highly recommend this property!

Concert weekend

We were in New Braunfels for the Z Z Top/Willie Nelson concert. I had my husband, our three adult kids, son-in-love, 9 week old grandson, sister-in-law and her family. We loved mornings watching the owl and six deer, grilled in the evenings, played horseshoes and shopped Gruene.

50th Birthday Party

We all enjoyed your home to celebrate a few 50 year birthdays. It was the perfect spot to spend evenings after our country music excursions through hill country. Country house

This is probably the 4th -5th time at this property so I know it well. Always clean, great outside areas and close to Schlitterbahn and Comal river activities. If you have a larger group and don’t mind not being right on the river this house is good value for the money

Nice but a few needs

Overall the stay was good, the beds and all were clean and nice but there were some things that do need attention. Mainly the showers are almost all hot or no hot, both are the same so that should be looked at and also there is water damage around the vents in the kitchen with paint coming off. There was a musty smell when we arrived from going out that we suspect came from there. Great location to Gruene. We had a blast!

Christmas with family

This was just what we needed. The kids loved being outside.There was a tree perfect for them to climb on, lots of balls, a swing and tons of room. The ten of us also had plenty of room to enjoy each other inside as well. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Thanksgiving Family Trip

This was the second time we stayed at this property as a family. Both times were special times for our family. We loved our stay. The outside space is perfect for our family because we love being outside, playing games, sitting by a fire, and just enjoying being together. The inside space is homey and comfortable. Plenty of room for all of us. We will definitely stay at this property again.

wonderful country place

Wonderful stay and location. The house was nice and clean, had everything we needed. The place is on several acres with woods so the kids could play without worry. The kids loved playing around the area, open area for football, soccer, etc and we saw wildlife. Great experience for family with kids.

November tennis sectionals

Seven of us ladies stayed at your wonderful house for 3 days. We were playing in a senior tennis sectionals tournament in New Braunfels. We all loved your “River retreat” and highly recommend it to others. Your location is perfect, house was spacious and well stocked, your outside grounds are beautiful, and overall perfect for us. The farmhouse was great. Rebecca was very responsive and courteous.

Our band The Dogenstiens / Alpine Village band stayed 4 days at the property, while we shuttled back and forth to Wurstfest, which was only a 10min drive. We thoroughly enjoyed the property. The beds were nice, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were all clean, as was the kitchen. After our shows, we would build a fire in the pit outside and enjoy a few beverages to unwind. Great place, would stay again.
