Orange Hill Beach Inn

Have stayed in other hotels en route to other islands and this was a by far the easiest and cleanest hotel I've stayed in close to the airport. Besides not having a shuttle to/from airport it hit the mark for a night. Thanks Orange Hill and your friendly staff. We will be back!!!

Place hasn't been updated since opened. It is need of a major overhaul and the beds were terrible.

Very relaxed attitude and friendly staff. Basic rooms.

Although this property could use some more updates, the staff was great and the pool was nice. The beach is right across the street. We were able to take bus 10 into Nassau for the straw market and also to the fish fry.

Nice place to stay overnight when coming through Nassau...

The hotel is very close to the airport but not really that close to anything else around. You pretty much have to eat at the hotel unless you want to walk or taxi somewhere. It was quite confusing to get the info we needed. We only stayed there one night but that was enough for us. No towels when we got there and the room definitely didn't strike me for the price but that may be reasonable in Nassau I don't know. The whole place was quite unorganized. There was not really a clear idea of what to do when you got there. If you haven't been there before ask questions everywhere and if something doesn't seem right make sure it is before going on. Wouldn't really recommend this place but for a one night stay and that's about it.

This Place is a little past it's prime and dare I say Bohemian. However many things make up for that. The owner is charming. The location near the airport and out of Nassau proper are appealing. While not directly on the beach it has proximity and views. The Bahamian food served is reasonably priced and excellent. It's an excellent overnight for people traveling to the out islands, or for and inexpensive trip to paradise during a long winter. I highly recommend provided your not looking for "Atlantis".

This is a cool place, good funky vibe and very friendly helpful staff. Honor bar and great food, especially the pot roast and cracked conch. We love stopping here before getting early morning flights to Bahamas Air to the Out Islands. Like a home away from home.

This place was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was home cooked and reasonably priced. The vibe was quite, stick to yourself. Also it is a $30 cab ride to downtown so factor that in when considering price! The owner was super friendly and helpful.

Convenient stopover for outisland destinations. Charming setting above a beautiful beach. Simple but adequate accomodations set in lovingly tended garden.

We stayed one night here because it was the closest to the airport and we were leaving at 5:30 the next morning. The owner and people that work there are very friendly and run a home-like inn that has a bar that's on an honor system. The dining room was closed the Saturday night we were there. The facility is extremely old and tired. The room was less than basic - the bathroom was very old, tiny. The walls are paper thin - we were up all night thanks to the couple in the next room. At $150+ the only thing we saved was cab fare. Definitely would not stay here again!

The ad on [...]stated the room I was booking had a kitchenette. When we arrived, we only had a fridge and microwave. Not very convenient but we got by with what we had. Contact the hotel directly to see what you are actually getting.

I had a great relaxing time.

This hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport. By taxi it will cost 12-15 USD. The hotel itself is very pretty it is set on top of a hill and overlooks the ocean. It has a couples swing set and tables outside to eat. It has a study/computer room and a restaurant attached to it. There is also a TV room and sitting area and a honour system for sodas and snacks. When we arrived they were very nice and upgraded us to an apartment. It was huge. There was a full kitchen full dining table and it was 2 separate rooms. It would be ideal for families. The rooms are clean and it was fairly quiet. The only thing is that if you chose to eat dinner at the attached restaurant dinner is a bit pricey and go early as they tend to run out of food. If you want cheaper options 10 minute walk away there is a Chinese place that is tasty and low key and an Italian place that is upscale. There is a gourmet market in the same plaza but apparently closes at 5-6 pm as we arrived at 7:30pm. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great for diver and none tourist trap seekers.

We stopped for a night before boarding a tall ship for a week of cruising. We were happy to spend and afternoon and evening just hanging out here and start to unwind. Nice & quiet for hanging out and reading. Food in restaurant is adequate, but no more. The beach across the street is pretty, but had too much broken glass -- the litter is one reason to avoid Nassau, in my book.

accomodating hosts, staff, and pets! enjoyed relaxed atmosphere at the honor bar, pool, and beach. pleasant walks to daiquiri shack, Chinese and fine Italian restaurants. easy travel by bus to downtown Nassau! helpful, polite policemen! friendly locals! safe and re-energizing holiday!

This is a great little inn if you just want to escape for awhile. Very laid back. It's a across the street from a nice beach. The beach was the best thing about inn. Most of the time the beach was empty, so it was almost private. The inn is a little worn around the edges, but the staff and owners are very nice and friendly. This is not a resort, but if you're looking for a personal and relaxing experience this is a great place.

We simply wanted a place to stay between flights and this worked out fine. Very friendly manager (the hand-lettered sign on the door says 'Fawlty Towers') with on-site kitchen preparing good meals at fixed times. It feels like more of a B&B with outside rooms than a motel. Not for the spring break crowd, but we enjoyed a sunset walk along the 3/4 or so mile beach. Nicely planted grounds. It appears to be becoming surrounded by gated high-end housing.

Excellent hotel for people looking for a more authentic visit to the Bahamas versus the glitz and gaudiness of Cable Beach and Paradise Island. Great location away from Cable Beach but a bus ride away from Nassau and other points of interest. [...] who runsOrange Hill is a great host and provides a warm and friendly atmosphere. The bar is great and the food is good and moderately priced.
