Very large room, very nice building, wonderful location. Good service with a few glitch - we thought this hotel deserves better. Wifi works pretty well. It is not cheap, but ... why should it be, considering the location and the level of service.
We travelled in July and had 2 connecting superior rooms. The hotel is very well maintained, elegant, rooms were very large, and beautifully decorated. The view from the few little balconies was beautiful, with Mount Vesuvius in the background, and Castel L'uovo on the right. We had dinner once on the terrace, the service was very attentive and adequate. The garden top bar had a relaxed atmosphere. Do not miss a visit to the Castle l'uovo which is near, and offers beautiful views of the city.
We had a very comfortable and pleasant four nights in this hotel. Although we were unable to get a room with a view, the hotel's 7th and 8th floor lounges and restaurants have an almost 360 degree view of the Mediterranean and Vesuvius. The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular, Victoriia, who served us breakfast was always cheerful and more than willing to accommodate our requests. If the hotel had provided an electric kettle and iron and ironing board, I would've given a perfect score.
Fabulous hotel rooms spacious and clean view from terrace breathtaking! Would recommend to anyone. Hotel is right on the port looking over Naples Bay toward Capri With the coast of Sorrento to the left. Great!
We were flying it from Naples airport early in the morning and therefore decided to spend a night in Naples. Although the hotel doesn't have its own parking, there are plenty of parking spaces around the hotel and secure car parks which we used. We were upgraded to a room with a sea view which was beautiful and spacious. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Perfect for our short stay, however would have been great to stay for longer!
This was the first hotel that we stayed in our 12 days in Italy. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel with my family. We took a taxi from the train terminal, and it was a real journey because drivers and traffic are crazy in Naples, so be ready. The hotel is well located, across there are the Castell dell' Ovo, the via Partenope. At night time those areas are full of life with restaurants al fresco, music and vibrant ambience. Good food! Also the hotel is walking distance to several cafés in Santa Lucía area, where you can grab cheap breakfast or cocktails at night. Going up is the Plebiscito Piazza and the famous café Gambrinus. Behind there is via Chiaia with many shops. Also Moro Beverello (ferry pier) is in the area, you can walk there if you have light luggages or take a taxi, from there you can find ferries for Capri, Amalfi coast. The hotel style is old Hollywood glamour; many celebrities stayed on the past: Sofía Lauren, Clark Gable, Hitchcock, etc. The staff was very professional and helpful. They offer a buffet breakfast upstairs that you have to pay per person. Also the hotel has a terrace with a bar on the top floor, with a great view from the Bay and Vesuvius mount. They sell cigars. We got a connected room that fit 5 people, very nice, spacious and comfortable. Marble bathrooms, walking closets, and nice decor. We feel very safe in the area, specially at night time. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay. Our room with a balcony looking over the bay was spacious and with high ceilings and elegant, restrained Italian flair. Great beds. Breakfast or dinner on the roof terrace with one of the best views in the world is absolutely incredible. The staff are all excellent, especially Victoria and Franco. The front desk makes great recommendations (not the usual touristy places), including La Casa di Ninetta. It is a beautiful, under appreciated city and we look forward to coming back. We had a personal trauma while in Naples and the hotel manager, Mr. Ricci, was extremely helpful, available and kind. I highly recommend the hotel!
Grand old hotel on the sea front of Naples. The accommodation is comfortable in a traditional style and breakfast is taken on the 7th floor terrace with wonderful views of the sea and marina. There is also a bar on the 8th floor terrace. The hotel is in a very elegant area of Naples which is quite a contrast to the historical quarter, both of which should be experienced when visiting the city. Definitely recommend staying here.
wonderful views of the harbor (at least from our lovely and spacious room with a view); good staff and easy walk to harbor and to edge of downtown. Great breakfast in a phenomenal roof garden – great space and views (and staff).
We stayed in a double bedroom for a few nights. Our room was on the inner section of the building, therefore our view was windows and walls of the other rooms of the same hotel. It felt a bit suffocating to be honest. Apart from that, the room was tidy and nice (again not 5 star nice ... ), very nice and comfortable bed. I wouldn't say the service was 5 star. There are no free bottles of water or teapots, or coffee makers in the room, no iron. The breakfast was ok. The room garden is definitely relaxing and with great views. Overall, a good place too stay and nice location but probably we wouldn't pay as much as we did for each night.
