We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour. It was quick check in and room was spacious and reasonably well equipped. Also very quiet. Bathroom adequate but hard to keep shower water in the bath heaps ended up on the floor. However only a plastic cup to drink out of and no tea or coffee making facilities. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast is huge with a lovely view but all rather impersonal although the food was rather good. Not so easy to get into town. Many beautiful paintings around whole hotel. Overall ok.

We had a great room, plenty of space and a large bathroom. We had a view over the sea and castle. Ate in the rooftop restaurant one night which was very good. Had drinks in the bar which were great . The breakfast was all you could ask. My only criticism was that the electrics in the room were quite hard to work out, we were shown when we arrived but had been up since 5.00 am and didn't take it in. On the first night I had to go back down to reception to ask someone to come and turn the lights on for us as I didn't pay all that money to clean my teeth in the dark. This was done very willingly and it was just a misunderstanding of which switches we should have turned on. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good position to walk into Naples and lots of restaurants around.

This is a fantastic hotel if you want to get a true sense of Naples. It has an old school charm and chicness that I haven't seen for a while in Italy. The service is fantastic, the rooms are well appointed, the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast looking out over the old castle followed by a walk along the water front promenade. The restaurant on the 9th floor is stunning and has amazing views of Sorrento, Capri and Mt Vesuvius. Highly recommend. It is definitely in the nicer part of Naples and I felt quite safe. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Naples to stay.

The hotel is situated by the sea in front of a charming old castle. We arrived by private car with no one to greet us at the door. We had to go in to get someone's attention for help with our luggage. The check-in went smoothly, and the person who greeted us was very friendly and humorous. Our room was upgraded to a lovely junior suite with dual balconies overlooking the old castle with tall ceiling that has plenty of space for our stuff. However, the bathroom is a little bit on the small side, but it comes with a nice Jacuzzi tub that we made sure to utilize every night. The breakfast is included in our booking and there is a wide variety. The wait staff is quite nice, but we did not feel the service they offered was anything special. Perhaps it's because we came from Gran Hotel Excelsior Vittoria where we were spoiled by their ultra attentive services. One thing to note is that they do not offer any water or chocolate during the evening turn down service. All in all, this is a great choice for a home base in Naples.

In every area of a guest comfort, this hotel exceeds accommodation. Check in easy, rooms with a view, superior breakfast, staff above and beyond in service. Always a surprise with more than expected. My family was more than impressed

Beautiful, safe location with many nearby dining options. The hotel is well kept with large, comfortable rooms by European standards. The spa land pool are amazing. Breakfast is in a beautiful setting with so many delicious choices. The best hotel of our Italian stay. Finally, each staff member is gracious and welcoming. They make this hotel a delight.

First of all the positives: the location is great at the quai of the Naples bay overlooking an old castle, yet close by to the city centre, with some great shopping areas with non standard branded stores if you walk in the direction of the north along the coast and go into town at the park. Second it has the old grandeur, lovely entrance and a beautiful seaside restaurant, with typical waiters on classic white. The breakfast is served by a very pleasant team and especially the head is a super nice gentleman very attentive for everyone, he is the best of the hotel in service, definitely leading standard! Breakfast has good variety and of high quality. Then the less positive points: they could soo much more of the beautiful ground floor, half of it isn’t used... the bar staff is rather grumpy with relatively slow service. Not sure it was intent full but being told to ‘sit down’ was new, maybe it was lack of English etiquette, definitely a little odd. Then for a leading member not to get fresh bottled water every day ( and even the mini bar wasn’t filled half the time) is substandard. The curtain is a blackout curtain but 15 cm too short, luckily they have shutters, otherwise you wake up by the early morning sun. The toilet is a challenge to flush. The room was noisy, if the telephone at the neighbours goes off early morning, then you have had your wake up call. Try to find an empty socket at your bed, only if you use the belligerent socket. Then light switches are a challenge. The room was too warm but we didn't seem to be able to switch of the heating or lower it below 19 degrees. Storage space was limited, we stayed 6 nights and there wasn't room for two to put our clothes away. The bed was nice apart.from the goose feather pillows that didn't felt too stuffed so it defeated the purpose. We cannot rate.the restaurant, as we thought 550 euros per person for not even a one star Michelin place a little expensive, even though it has the best view over the unbelievable fire works at midnight. In summertime it must be a great place to sit and enjoy dinner. Overall it definitely wasn't of 'leading hotel of the world' standard, despite the effort of a hardworking team at the breakfast room.

Francamente uno delle poche cose buone del albergo e’ il signore Che gesticsce la collazione. Perfetto. So one of the only good things about the hotel is the manager of the breakfast area. Very warm,professional and a pleasure to meet first thing in the morning. Now the not so good points : Rooms dry and warm...can’t seem to regulate the heating. Toilets don’t flush properly Sheets so rough Pillows awful..I asked for goose feather ones and think I got chicken feather clump ones. Have been here a week and have never had a good nights sleep. Breakfast buffet. To the best...I think they something creamy in the eggs..awful..but for sweet toothes good. Not very friendly people at bar....especially when you go to bar and want to order a drink and they tell you “sit” ...literally ... are we two year olds? The porters are very nice and friendly. The hotel has a nice old grandeur feel and atmosphere...but yes..is still old in every5hing else. Even the phone numbers on the phone are incorrect..you think you are calling room service and instead end up getting someone else entirely..please change and correct the phone number dials on your phones. And you don’t even get your drinks replaced in your mini bar... I am an lhw member and will give my feedback to them too...it should not be part of lhw since quite below standard unfortunately.

Truly a hotel that lives up to its name. We spent three nights there in October as part of a trip through Italy. Our spacious room had a balcony that looked out over the city, bay, and in the distance, Mt. Vesuvius. Breakfast buffet offered lots of excellent choices. Courteous and accommodating staff. Very happy our tour booked us into this lodging.

This wonderful hotel on the Bay of Naples overlooks the isle of Capri, the Amalfi Coast, and the lovely harbor. The view is awesome, the accommodations are very comfortable, the food is amazing, but the real stars here are the staff. We have never been treated with such gentle graciousness, helpfulness and warmth by every one of the staff members. This is a place we hope to return to someday. Bellissimo!
