Understanding that an Econolodge is a budget property, the facility did not meet my low expectation. Bed and small appliances were decent, but bathroom was dirty and tub had coating chipping. Bath door was split at bottom which looked like water damage. And lastly room air was musty. Probably could use a filter replacement in A/C unit.

The property was not well taken care of. Trash all over the parking lot and overflowing from the trash cans. The rooms were humid which caused paint chipping and rust on all the furniture. Found a big hair on the bed when we arrived.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was delicious!!

I was not able to stay! Apparently my reservation was cancelled according to the front desk person. I was not made aware of this until I tried checking in.

Was a nice affordable place to stay but even though I was prepaid instead of holding a credit card number as a deposit they charged $100 at check in. They say a credit was issued at check out but four days later nothing. Who operates this way and if I return something my credit card is immediately credited. Called and they said it could take 7 to 10 days. Wow I will never stay here again!

Didn’t like that front desk was not connected to the hotel. Breakfast served in a crockpot was not appealing. Door to hotel were unlocked and not secure. People were drinking beer at 8:30 am by the entrance to the unsupervised hotel entrance.

The fact that they offered breakfast was great, the quality of the pastry items could have been better. Bagels and English muffins were not fresh and definitely needed toasting.

It was just ok. For the price being charged I expected more. It’s like a $50 a night hotel.

We ended up not staying here. We drove up and it didn’t look safe and it was nothing like in picture. Also, it was no refund policy so we did not get our money back as well. Ended up staying somewhere else. A one night trip to see my daughter graduate from college turned into a very expensive trip.

staff rigid , inflexible. refused to permit my wife to bring in the room some bread and milk and yogurt. I called the desk and it did not concern her that i was a little under the weather and preferred not to go to the breakfast area. room card did not work the second day. Cleaning promised but only garbage taken and some towels with odors were left. will not go back to this facility again.

Facilities are very clean the staff is the best in the area very accommodating and friendly

The property has been updated and is well-maintained the staff is excellent Steve and his lovely wife all very very good at what they do and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome The property is very clean and quiet it is close to food and shopping it is in a pretty good location. The Coastal ale house is located on the property and has very good food it is highly recommended.

I didn't like that at 11pm someone used their key to get into my room. The front desk "had a mixup" and coded their keys for our room. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS

This hotel is obviously going through renovations. The room I was given was not ready for occupancy. It had no battery in the smoke detector, pest control issues, no working phone in the room and the bathroom door was hung improperly and you had to PUSH it to close it. Management contact was rude and customer service was nowhere to be found. Please remove this hotel from your offerings.

It was a place to stay while we toured Coastal Carolina, but the property was dirty, the door lock didn't work very well (asked to have it fixed, but never was). We refused maid service because we were afraid they wouldn't lock the door properly. Lobby and coffee area is nice but the rest of the building is in need of some TLC. Several restaurants "back up" to the hotel so you get that back alley feel. The positives is it is right next door to Coastal, and has several restaurants very close, and is probably the most inexpensive hotel near the University. I would only stay here again if there were no other options, quite honestly. The man at the front desk was very nice and a CCU grad, so he talked up my son who was considering Coastal, which was nice.
